I did read thoroughly, however there is no form of account validation. You literally cannot abstain, because most likely your name was already snatched by a program and submitted already. The poll is just a hype-builder.- CR vs WL
I like this topic simply because it added to my .gif folder. Grats CR nice pull- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
You can't vote 'no'.- /obt/
I like you better in the HYT chat. That was an inside joke with a friend, i'm sorry if it offended you. Or annoyed you, in anyway, for that matter. My hands are touching the ceiling I'm so mad. I didn't mean it like that, i was honestly sincere Oh, my bad, I've been just screwing around this whole time. <_< Thought that was fairly obvious but I must have a damn good p-p-p-p-poker face- Extremely expensive items vs. free trade
The inside of the cavern isn't considered pvp and if anything they'd prolly just make it single outside of it (super easy to get away then considering) or bring it inside the ranch and make the ranch safe.- /obt/

Whoever created that picture tried to make it seem as if there was some super secret board that only jagex mods have access to and they all communicate there rather than via email or memos distributed office-wide.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
God, I hope this isn't Bs. Absolutely [cabbage]. A memo like this would not be posted on their forums. This is internal staff stuff you're talking about. What a terrible, ridiculous fake. EDIT: They all have their own emails. This sort of thing? Would've been more realistic if it was posted as an email and not a forum post.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
Prepare for hearing that sentence a lot more in the future then. Now they have to choose an item, start buying it out, wait several weeks for the price to rise and then sell. Without price ceilings, they buy out and are able to sell immediately. Notice the text in bold please. Only if people are dumb enough to buy at that price. Considering this wasn't a huge problem in the past, why would be it a huge problem now just because they can get things faster? Everyone's looking to undercut the other one and in merch clans, where idiots are constantly dumping before everyone else, I don't imagine anyone could rise the prices for any long-term thing. This isn't like when Bluerose was one of the few who could smith rune and those who could smith rune forced the prices to remain high. EDIT: Or are we still talking about exclusively high ticket items where supply is limited?- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
Oldtime merching without restrictions nor price ceilings WITH the ease of buying your stock in the GE. And you think this won't mess up the market... (ever heard of price manipulation? those manipulators have more cash than ever before in their hands to play the market) No more than it's already been messed up, no.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
You said it, rarely, why would a regular player sell an item with street (like a rannar weed for example, 7k in ge, 10k 'street') in trade when they don't have junk? -> they would not even bother and sell in GE. If trade restrictions are gone, why would a regular player sell them in GE when they can have 10k pure cash in trade? -> messes up GE imo... ....because if this update happens they can trade it for whatever they want with no hassle on the GE with the removal of ceilings/floors? :?: EDIT: I don't understand if you're complaining about how the ge is now, or how it will be in the future. The reason why the prices don't update now is because the GE can't update because they set the item far too low in price, which is why its sold on the street. You wouldn't have something like that in a free trade environment,.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
Well, the grand exchange will still exist regardless of how they choose to go, if that helps your decision. :P But probably will be <bleep>ed up even more with all the trades only happening outside of it. (items with high-street won't be sold in GE anymore) Items with high street were NEVER/rarely sold in the ge. That's why they had a street value. >_> If the GE remains open for unrestricted pricing it would resist the changes quite nicely, which is what is likely to happen. Or at least, we haven't heard anything to the contrary.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed

They aren't removing anything, only re-locating. Which is a completely dumb move on their part.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
...what new attitude? Did you really read the post they gave? Or do you simply think they're lying? And if that's the case then why do you think their care for bots have suddenly changed? Wouldn't it be far more likely that their indifference hasn't changed, if that's the case?- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed

Sure the end result is the same, but one is much harder to survive than the other, and therein lies the difference.- 21-Dec-2010 - Celebrate our 10th Anniversary and win $10000!
If it were pounds I would've imagined they'd use the corresponding symbol. But interesting point, why then did they do it in USD? o_O- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
...what? What actions of theirs aren't shown? We already know that as the game cycles through periods their ideology changes faster than the drop of a dime to keep the business thriving. I just don't get what you're trying to say.- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
No they weren't, because they utterly failed to remove RWT from the game. In case you haven't noticed, both botting and RWT markets have been roaring lately. There was the "selling partyhat for trade price and $500" variety, and the "buy crashing item min sell to RWTer for mid" variety. Neither were in any way difficult to pull off. It was needed for the fraudulent ones that cost them money, not the ones that don't. If they've found a better way to stop the fraudulent ones, there's no reason not to go back to free trading times. We never knew how serious this thread was. You all just "believe jagex for their blue eyes".. - But what if this wans't true, but instead a CEO interpretation? Like our goverment just lied about the fact that the FIFA world cup would "not cost money and possibly bring lots of money" - Yet when looking at the last world cups they weren't. (and it turned out the responsible politican just did it to show some "leadership" or something). No idea what you're talking about, I won't lie. If they weren't losing money, why would they change their game so drastically? Do you have a reason other than just shouting, "CONSPIRACY" from the rooftops?- Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
