  1. Dude why is minecraft being so stupid right now? I need more than anything a time of winding down, and I can't. It's either this or cleaning the house obsessively...and the house is pretty clean right now. Bah. Worst timing ever.
  2. Because you don't. You said it yourself you weren't around, weren't active (for at least a year now, be honest). Half of the points you had brought up have already been answered, if you could bother to rouse yourself and look. If you intend to preach, you had best have a more sturdy foundation than a dusty and dubious history and no current knowledge of the community you're lecturing to, no knowledge of what tipit has even tried to do. No knowledge of what's even going on outside of Tip.it. Take a moment, get to know what you claim you once invested so much time and love into in order to learn what it has truly happened, both in accomplishments and plans that didn't work, since your departure. It'll be a step in the right direction instead of talking with rose tinted glasses on pulling facts out of your backside. This thread isn't a personal soapbox for a wounded pride.
  3. Why so vague about who can buy back accounts and who can't?
  4. Runescape purchased a layout advertisement on armorgames.com to help advertise the changes to the game coming on the 1st. I thought it looked pretty nice. If I was a new player, I'd look into a game like that.
  5. That's because anything is better than Clash of the Titans.
  6. I agree with the gist of your post. Except the part about watching "The Notebook." Terrible advice, terrible movie.

Today, right now, I'm wondering how the hell the Jets are coming back from being stomped on. Get it together Steelers.
  8. What are your forums? I tried following the link from the runehead and it says your board does not exist.
  9. I remember seeing a few of your previous incarnations posting on here in the past. It's wonderful to see you back out in the public limelight once more and I wish you the best.
  10. It's amazing to see how clans might endure and cycle through thanks to the dedication throughout generations. Happy birthday to you, BK. I hope things go well for you in the coming years. Keep the flame alive and thank you for being a part of the clan world.

www.chegg.com Very reputable site that you can rent textbooks from at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended for classes that don't specifically relate to your interests/majors (I'm looking at you, writing composition.) For courses relating to your major, I think it's a good idea to keep those books, and I'd look on amazon for them. Also, nothing beats networking. In some cases you can ask a classmate to go in half with you on a textbook and share it, or find an upperclassmen willing to sell you the book at a song. With all the saving strategies I use (a mix of second hand, renting, book sharing, etc) I usually expect a 150-300$ dent in my wallet for 6-8 textbooks on a 15 credit/18 credit courseload.
  12. Some of these clans have already tried remakes. I wonder what they think will change the second time around. Still, doubts aside, I'm extremely excited for the upcoming months. With a change like this, it doesn't matter who's slumping or who's on top right now because it's certainly due to get flipped on its heads in the drop of a hat.
  13. No, it didn't imply that pkers have no use for free trade. As I said, they do need free trade indirectly due to full loot drops and staking, but their focus is that, not the free trading itself. Stop putting words in my mouth. I was establishing a connection to skillers and to pkers in this update. They do need it directly. To give an example: right now, rune sets are 160k ea but prior to the wilderness removal, they were 210k ea. The worse off the economy is, the worse off your full on loot. So yes, free trading is pretty important to the average pker directly. I was not putting words in your mouth, simply going off your own analogy. Like I said, it was a bad example.
  14. got a torso 2 days ago, and only pray for dragons, so verac isnt needed and not a fan of herblore, i get it up only by lamps =P Yes but you say you're into slayer, so extremes should be a far off goal for you :P It really does help out. And the reason why I say verac is not because of prayer, but because of the better defense versus Guthan Chainskirt. Plus, the higher level you get, the better slayer master you'll use. And the better slayer master, the more you'll probably need to pray on common tasks. Verac's is a better item overall and a good investment for your future. You already have a bunyip, so guthan's healing set bonus won't be as useful for you.
  15. Buy a guthan's set or verac's skirt and obtain a torso. Get your prayer up so you can use the piety prayer. Put the rest into herblore. Really use this money for getting a good armor set and character improvement. BGS isn't going to be as useful to you in comparison to a good armor set and good herb/pray stats. Prayer is still important even if you don't boss hunt, but maybe not as important as unlocking extremes. Dunno there.
  16. He's free to play. Most efficiency arguments go out the window considering the max income there is like...what, 600k per hr excluding flipping?
  17. Free trade is equally important to both skillers and pkers. Yes, I had noted that two posts above... You neglected to mention that in the post I quoted however; it implied that pkers have no use for free trade by associating it only with skilling and merchanting. Perhaps it was a bad example, then?
  18. Free trade is equally important to both skillers and pkers.
  19. With over 80% in favor according to the referendum, I would imagine that the community is not as split as one might think. It's pretty split here, on this community, with 61% in favor and 35-some% against/indifferent. Which is what I was speaking of in my post.
  20. If the economy fails, what is the point in loot-on-death pvp? Let's not fool ourselves.
  21. Or perhaps you share the same interpretation. If it were fact, would the community be so split about this? For sure many people have expressed their opinion in a mature an intelligent fashion, arguing the opposite of what Gavati said. Hardly seems like the poisoned community previously mentioned. As the long-term player that you are, I'm sure you remember that idiots will always be idiots, there will always be some nostalgia kiddos, the seasoned veterans, etc. Saying that the game is better off with or without an aspect of it is all subjective. None of us have the data to back that claim up, only declining google trends that everyone loves to throw around--which could have happened for a myriad of reasons not only exclusive to free trade/wilderness removal.
  22. nevermind, apparently we were too slow
  23. Hopefully nothing, so it's not held over my head throughout the next few months as is custom in my very angry household.
  24. ....or isn't it just as likely that, considering they're giving you a percentage that the same ratio of people have voted throughout the day?

    Forum games is that a-way.
