  1. I was employing sarcasm to prove a point that skilling and pvping cannot be seperate entities, since the items produced by skilling are employed in PvP'ing on a daily basis. I don't quite see how you've disproved that point. (And really, if I wanted to go a step further, Slayer itself does not produce items. It's the monsters killed that do. It is mostly a PvM skill, whereas other skills are resource driven. You could seperate Slayer from PvP, but it's nearly impossible to do that with the other skills.) EDIT: Derp derp, I'm an idiot. Nevermind. :( It certainly would've made this nerf bearable; though I probably still would be a little mad XD

  3. Jellies. A low leveled, easy to kill monster. They drop a healthy amount of green charms and alchables as well. If you don't get a good clue, they also drop rune full helms, which will help balance out an 87k clue quite nicely in the long run. They're the only thing I choose to kill when hunting for cluescrolls. :)
  4. They're equate to the same thing. The high leveled are (usually) the wealthy. The wealthy train the skills, the wealthy reap the benefits. Every skill can be 'bought' in some shape or form except for Slayer--which is why the Slayer Cape is still one of the most respected capes out there.

Apparently being hit a 75 in one turn, which is difficult to survive if the pker knows what they're about, and being hit a 108 (dbow spec w/ extreme ranging, though that too is rare) is where the line is crossed. The prospect scares people. Le sigh. I can't express my disappointment enough with this nerf.
  6. I'll be having those poisoned weapons back, and those smithed rune items. Oh, and those godswords that have to be smithed together, I'll need those too. And that food, too. Oh and those prayer potions...

  9. So they'll grow even without being watered? I thought it only stopped disease and water was required to go to the next growing cycle.
  10. Didn't think it was necessary considering you could click my RSN and it would take you straight to the high scores. :unsure: I can grow all the allotment plants, my farming is 73.
  11. I'm going to start farming herbs more (who isn't? haha) and I figured I'd use this time to try to get some farming levels, too. I plan on using super compost. I have several questions, however, and I'd appreciate any sort of nudge in the right direction in order to break even or profit by having the gardeners watch them. I am open to gathering my own materials to pay off the farmers if it helps me break even. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced. :)
  12. Yeah would have expected them to pm a leader and say if bounds are continued to be broken then we are going to walk out. Not sure if you did but still think 9mins was too early to walk out. I wouldn't act like Illusion is free of fault. If you were just starting to punish rulebreakers, as Illusion claims they were, when BK was getting ready to walk out, they could've said something to BK too. It's a communication failure on both sides--and it always causes troubles in fights.
  13. I don't understand the significance? Does this have anything to do with the rumors that Dragons are weak to stab or slash, can't remember which.
  14. I never said they failed to balance it. What I said, if you read it carefully, was that they implemented untradable potions as a way to balance that rather than fixing the root cause. Therefore, right concept (ie fixing the classes) but wrong implementation (using potions instead of handling the root cause). A 'band-aid' measure, if you will, where it'll heal a temporary scuff, but won't touch a large, gaping wound. I hope that makes more sense this time.

  16. Can't really say if it made a difference in the battle since the battle never finished. It's a shame there was such little tolerance for mistakes between clans, hope you rematch soon and maybe make an effort to communicate from both sides eh? :3
  17. woohoo, lets make magic even more powerfull for pvp! <_< It was important that magic have the ability to be a stand-alone combat form, not dependant on another. Jagex had the right concept, but the wrong implementation.

  20. Fair enough, power-clans are just as disrespectful when it comes to 'claiming' a world for their fight as any no-honor clan (oh how the times change!) In such a case, that would solve it. But then suppose they add the worlds yet do nothing to solve the root causes. What will we be left with? Yeah, we'll have more worlds--stark, empty, desolate worlds where only pre-planned fights occur. People need a reason to go from the no-risk options we have to the wilderness. Loot system right? How often do you get to keep your loot, though? The loot system in itself is not enough, especially if you die to those crashing clans you mentioned. What is viewed worse by the individual, potential loss with potential gain, or no chance of loss with no chance of gain? It's the former, not the latter. So then something needs to happen with these no-risk structures before things can start going back to normal all across the board.
  21. People were hesitant to post during the period of conversion, which happened around the 15th of september through yesterday (october 5th). As for everything else, there's really nothing to counter with. But I'd like to say that I prefer original discussion versus the same crap discussed to death like I find on other forums.

  25. More pvp worlds won't solve anything if people aren't going out to pk. And why would people go out to pk when they can recreate a similar experience with no cash loss? It's failed structures like Clan Wars and the Free for All portals that are at the very heart of this issue--not the number of pvp worlds. EDIT: Though I'm not going to be completely ignorant and say that it doesn't play at least a tiny role in it.
