Hey guys, I'm tired of playing by myself so I'm looking to join a skilling/community based clan. PvM is also good, but not required. I am NOT interested in any PvP whatsoever, so please don't post here for that. I'm 137 combat, 2200+ total. My timezone is US EST if that helps. I've been playing since 2004 and I'm 22. I always end up coming back after a break because of how RS is built. Sure, I played LOTRO, RoM and PWI for a bit, but RS blows them out of the water as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not preparing at all for a few reasons: 1) I'm not p2p atm 2) I don't have the money necessary to get 96 herblore 3) Nobody to go with

When they were released, the only reason to have one apart from some sense of self-accomplishment, was the def and pray bonus. Obby cape already had the def, so you only really needed the pray. Sure, back then, everyone and their mother wanted dem omg so awsum!!!!!!!! skillcapes, but really... They're rather outclassed now by SW and (when stabbing) Ardy cloak Plus they kinda look like crap, but meh

Assuming I were to get a second weapon (I got rapier first), which would you all recommend? I'd probably not do anything different apart from what I already do, which is slayer/safe PvP/TDs

I'm not really sure why I play RS over other MMOs The only other MMOs I've played were all F2P supported by micro-transactions, so I can't really speak for other P2P MMOs, but I didn't care for the F2P model much because those who had the irl money were typically much better equipped compared to others the same level. I understand people need an incentive to pay, so I suppose it all works out for everyone involved Methinks if Jagex ever decided for RS to be supported by micro-transactions, I'd probably go back to rolling on DA:O or Morrowind

I got the rapier about 2 weeks ago, and I must say I'm quite impressed with it, but I kinda wish I got CLS for safe PVP and possibly TDs. I don't know whether to get maul or CLS now since I have the rapier, and if rapier and maul are paired, CLS isn't needed imo Although it's easier to go into full-on tank mode with CLS due to its innate accuracy, the rapier seems more useful for the things I do

I felt like the richest person in the game; nothing could stand in my way of earning massive moniez. I walked to Varrock. Two tries here; first time with range and AGS with tort full of brews. Second time was pure range with tort full of brews and a uni for when I ran out. I literally finished him with 0 brews left. I was then and still am 136.
