  1. Well, I did a 1 hour test, and here are the results: I was wearing full dharoks, fury, barrows gloves, soul wars cape, and zerker ring. I had on constant turmoil and was ext potted to 120 stats the entire time. Under 10hp. After an hour, I got: 2 Blues, 72 Crimsons, 16 Greens, and 38 Golds. I also gained 80k Defense EXP. It's good... But Dharok waterfiends is better and cheaper...
  2. I know I can last quite a bit with woul wars cape + war tort filled with prayer potions, but I want to know how many charms/hour I'll get and if I'll even hit the things with melee. I don't think anyone knows.... Might have to do an hour run.
  3. I've heard this is a good way to get charms. Get low HP with dharoks and just go on a rampage after that with melee prayer. Can anyone tell me charms/hour on this? I would dharok waterfiends, but I'm trying to train defense while getting 96 summoning, and dharoks doesn't train defense on crush... sooooo.... Anyone help a brotha out? Thanks. 4. We have been porting money into Haiti for years and where has it gone? France and the US ultimately made Haiti into what it is today (or was, before the earthquake - a poor, crime infested drug harbor) during colonial times. Think of it like the guilt-responsibility relationship between Germany and Israel. It is bad PR for the US if they didn't keep helping them after using the land for enormous coffee, spice, cotton, manual slave labor etc. profits, and leaving the local population all alone with a corrupt hierarchy after they had collected worthwhile profits & deemed the exploitation to be no longer politically viable due to the negative response in their respective countries. You are not responsible for what happened in the past, just as today's young Germans are not responsible for what happened in WW2 to jews, but the political and moral ground for continuing aid and 'reparation' money exists, and has been paid to Haiti ever since they gained independence. As a result of the earthquake it will probably continue almost indefinitely. The deeds done in the past by others have NO bearing on my responsibility. Atlas shrugged, that is my basic stance on guilt. Honestly, although some support is of course a reasonable thing to give, it is the job of those in government office to care for US citizens, not the people of every nation in the world. To the above: there is no such thing as "citizens of the world". We all live here, but we need to fix our own countries problems first. The same goes for other parts of the world. Where are you from?
  5. I want to make love to Jagex right now. Best teaser EVER. If someone bashes on Jagex, I'll skull [bleep] them. <-- I is joking, Mods. Can everyone reading this post 5 minutes after this edit? I want to see if this thread will crash.
  6. Ouch... That sucks. Also, I don't get how people only get 3-4 drops/hour at ffa. I go in black d'hide and get more than that every time. Are you using extremes/turmoil? Edit: About how much total is all that? That's the largest collection of corp drops I've seen.
  7. I thought OP's story was fake, but I'll still believe it. Anyway, Jagex can get your phone number from your membership information or your home address with your billing stuff. It's not impossible, but the short response time seems off to me. Either way, I like the stance Jagex is taking. Good to know someone cares about something. To the people ranting about Jagex's actions, depression works in stages. Anyone who can joke about suicide can commit it.
  8. When I do defender, I drop the called food from the opening of the cave to the right trap at the start of the game. Then I make another path from the right trap to the runner openings, while picking up the hammer and logs. Works every time, and I'm only a level 1 defender.
  9. I think... You broke Runescape... Lol. You attempt to buy something for 0gp on the ge, offer almost goes through, game crashes. Coincidence? I think not...
  10. D Claws Solo yesterday Yup... That's a nice little monk robe top + Prossy Legs. Awwweeeee Yeeeeeeeee Edit: I'll fix the image in like 5 minutes... Not very detailed or cropped, lol. Edit #2: Another day... Another time... Edit #3: About as good as it's gonna get, lol. Enjoy!

At your level... Let's see... Your best bet would be to take Black D'hide + zammy spear + brews/super restores. That's it. Take a t bird filled with brews, and your inven filled with brews + super restores. Hope to god you get lucky, lol. Use stab and piety. Also, if you can afford it, take some defense reducing stuff. I suggest BGS or Darklight.
  12. I suggest you try tanking the melee brothers (other than Dharok), as that'll save you tons of p pots. All you need is a black sally to kill them fast enough, and you'll be safe.
  13. Replace these with what you're using now Nez Helm/Torag Helm Torag Plate Torag Legs Whip/DDS Obby Shield/Rune defender Harlander Tars (equipped) Take Black D'hide top/bottom in your inventory for when you melee Ahrim. Don't pray against the melee brothers (except for dharok), and use Black Sally (it's faster, does more damage, and is a lot cheaper) with Torags equipped. The melee brothers are very weak against mage, so you don't need any mage bonuses against them. Use all your DDS specials against Karil or Ahrim (whichever gives you the most trouble), and then switch off to whip for the other. As for your inventory, take these things: Spade, Black D'hide Top/Bottom, DDS, Whip, Black Sally, 3 P Pots, 1 Super set (drink super defense before you fight Verac and super atk/str before Karil/Ahrim), House Teli Tab (you should have a Kharyll portal in your house), 1 normal restore pot, 4 brews, and the rest sharks. Note that you can drink 4 doses of brew per normal restore pot dose. Also, these are only for emergency's. Drink a dose of P Pot before Dharok and only drink another dose if you're sure you can't kill him before your prayer runs out. I suggest that you don't drink a dose for Karil/Ahrim, but if you're having a hard time, just 1 dose should suffice. If you don't pray against the other melee brothers, you'll use a max of 3 p pot doses per trip. If you don't feel you're able to tank the melee brothers with Full Torags, then pray against them.
  14. Zammy Spear > BGS. Other than that, nice guide.
  15. ... Don't be hatin' on teh Guido's... Nubs... :D Legalizing medical marijuana was a good step forward, but banning gay marriages... Lame.
  16. Look at the graphs. The current trend is no different from trends that high level gear has been following the entire past year. Nothing special is happening because of the new year, updates, or whatever.

Gear: Nez Helm Fury>Stole>Glory Karil's Body>Black D'hide Body > Armadyl Verac Skirt > Proselyte Legs > Torag/Dharok/Guthan Legs > Karil's Skirt > Black D'hide Legs Dragon Boots Barrows Gloves > Dragon/Rune RFD Gloves > Spiked Black Vambs SGS Broad Bolts. Best bolts to use here, except for maybe Ruby (e). Accumulator Inventory: Rune C'Bow, DL, 11 Prayer Potions, 1 Super Restore (for Summoning points), 1 Unicorn (+1 outside), 125 Healing Aura Scrolls, 2 Pure Sets (Optional), Sapphire Lantern, House/Lumby Teli Tab, Sharks Use the north safe spot. It's very carefree, so learn how to use it. Hard to explain, so just watch someone lure it for a bit until you get the hang of it. 1.) Unicorn should heal you more than enough to deal with the damage, and you have SGS, so forget about brews/Rocktails. 2.) Yes 3.) No 4.) No 5.) Use north spot, use piety/turmoil and pure sets if you want faster kills, and just practice a lot. TD's are very click-intensive, so you have to kill them a few times, and you'll be able to pull off 30+ kills no prob.
  18. The only time I ever use combat familiars is in clan wars, duel arena, or fight pits. It's always fun hitting a 20+ with geyser titan scroll with a 70+ AGS spec for the KO. Other than that, no real use in PvP/BH worlds, since you're not going to find someone in a multi zone in gear worth killing for anyway (unless they're surrounded by 50+ dots that are ready to swarm you with dds').
  19. How does this quest NOT have a plot? It was obviously a start into a new quest series that'll branch off into the Mahjarrat series. Just because there's not as much content as WGS doesn't mean there's no plot. WGS seems far superior (well, it was) because it was a huge climax to the main story line in Runescape. I thought it was pretty obvious that Nomad's Requiem was, in a sense, a big bang to start off a new plot. It introduced a ton of new questions that will eventually lead into newer, more developed quests. How is that not good enough for a quest?

Holy [cabbage]. Wall of text. Anyway, forget about tactics. Eat to max before 75 hit, brew to max before HP-1 hit. Bam. You're set. Take highest BoB filled with brews, 4 super restores, 5 normal restore pots (Note, you can drink 4 doses of brew per normal restore pot, unlike super restores), some sharks, and the rest brews. Wear black d'hide (or karils/armadyl), zammy spear (stab), and best gear you can take after that. If you can't safe fast enough after the HP-1 attack, take 2-4 phoenix necklaces and wear them right after he freezes you. It'll help you out in your masticating ventures (yea, I went there). I wouldn't even try running behind a pillar, since you can easily eat to full hp after the 75 damage hit. You could... I'm just saying... I didn't. Forget about pure sets/ext pots, since brews will kill your boosted levels before you can get 5 hits in with them. Don't worry about his berserk mode. You can take a set of melee armor for when he starts using melee attacks, but he's very inaccurate, so there's almost no need. Other than that, good luck. It's not a very hard fight, since you know when you're about to get boned sideways, which lets you safe to max hp before said boning.
  21. I only got hit three times through his melee attacks. Granted, I was using turmoil, but I was only wearing black d'hide with whip + rune defender. He barely hits half the time anyway, so melee protect probably does nothing,
  22. You can't stop smart bots. Jagex can ban them based on activity reports (I'd feel safe temp banning someone if they play 20+ hours a day for weeks on end, assuming they're a bot), but that's about it. I don't know much about writing scripts, but I do know that Jagex can't detect bots that use a mouse with a movement memory thingy. So long as the screen remains untouched, the mouse can do its thing by using a script that doesn't interact with Java and is therefore undetectable.
  23. But those games are designed around the reload capability. They deliberately make the bosses super, super hard so that the challenge is figuring out how to kill the guy, because they know that's how the games work. Here, Jagex seems to have tried that but come up short -- Nomad just isn't that difficult. Decent equipment, a bunch of sara brews and restores and down he goes. And that's *before* all the guides are published! Hmm, well maybe I just suck really hard. I was in my absolute best gear and he still managed to kill me over 10 times (no guide used though). I've never died on a quest boss before him, even on bosses where I don't take my best gear because I'm afraid of loosing it. Personally I like the fact that there's no risk of loosing your gear; it actually encourages the use of extremely valuable gear, for once. So um, while I do agree that Nomad isn't the hardest boss ever, he's defiantly a big, big improvement on other quest bosses. I can't wait to see what Jagex has in store for us later in the year. Fight Lucien with all of the achievement diary armor on + a weapon? hp+1 special attack every other hit. Edit: @ dude who killed Nomad in CW armor. Who's to say you didn't have another armor set in your inventory? Lol.
  24. I think I'm just gonna stay with this, tbh, 1 cb lvl isnt worth giving up this acc 1 level makes no difference, but I'd rather just make it 50 defense and 70 prayer. Then you could have a well rounded pker with low defense/cb
  25. Just killed Nomad in one try with whip + black d'hide + extremes. Good... Fight...? It was easier than trio corp, and that's a walk in the park. Edit: Reward also got me 95 defense and 136 cb. The cut scene at the end was cool. I want a boss top hat, too...
