From XKCD Interesting find no doubt, but I fail to see the purpose... I support the search for life, but aiming a telescope at something only raises questions. It's doesn't even provide halfway decent answers. The best the Kepler Telescope can do is see how large the planet is, how close to its star it is, and what its average density is (Only if the planet is relatively close. Don't know the specs on this with Kepler). If all those answers match up with the numbers related to Earth (huge error, btw, since the technology isn't perfected), then we can only assume that it can support life. There would be no clue as to if there's a huge asteroid cloud bombarding the planet 24/7, if the planet has an active core, or if it's actually a dense gas planet with a dense rocky core, which produces an average density close to that of Earth. So many questions... But I suppose it's a decent venture into the abyss. Hopefully technology gets better at it.

Don't the 4 overloads seem excessive? Do you really camp there for an hour 20 minutes? If so... God Damn. Lol.

Edit @ rahzaM: Also no. Melee attacks are common; rage attacks that hit 49 max aren't. When I duo with my friend (both GS), I only get maged by Kril's rage attack once. Occasionally twice. I don't see the purpose of sacrificing huge amounts of accuracy and str in exchange for no rage attacks. Also, melee hits very often and very accurately. Putting on mage prayer would just mean you'd take constant 20's to the face, and for longer periods of time since SOL wont kill Kril' quickly enough. I don't really see a use for SOL in PvP... If you're a mage, you're better off using ancient magic from far away where melee can't do damage at all. Mage isn't supposed to be used in close range. Also, wasting 50% spec on SOL is stupid. You can easily get a dds and use that for specials instead. The way I see it is the SOL is just meant to be used for maging. It's too slow/weak to be used as a viable melee weapon in place of everything that exists, but it's a great combination of the two. If I ever wanted a melee and mage weapon in one without the risk/inventory space involved in carrying two different weapons, I'd buy the SOL. For now, the only use I can see for it for me is bursting rock lobbys.

No. Staff doesn't hit very high at all, and any GS in a duo at Zammy GWD with stats like that will pwn way more than a staff with mediocre melee stats. Even then, you always melee pray against Kril, so 50% reduction in melee damage is worthless. I'd rather take the random 20's from mage attacks than a 50% reduction in melee attacks, which come out to be common 20's. Other than that, the staff would pwn for barrows. No need to melee pray against dharok, considering you don't get pwned 25's a lot. Just ancient magic + spec. If dharok attacks you, nothing to worry about. It's also a great staff for maging in general. Other than that... nothing really. It's meant to be a mage staff with some melee properties, not a hardcore melee weapon that you can use in place of everything else that exists.

Yea. It sucks for people who can't access a public library either. It also sucks if people can't logout between waves to rest, which would mean they would actually have to spend the 1+ hours needed to get to Jad. I have read it through a few times, and NEVER did they say that gems, rune javelins or keys where rare items, in fact, they didn't state what are on the rare items list, just that some have very rare drops (visages/ godsword pieces) Also notice that the phrase 'Very Rare' has the word 'Rare' in it, which thus proves that visages and hilts are in fact rare drops, which means, that instead of your nothing drops, there is a CHANCE you will recieve something of this nature. So please don't flame me for using some logic, as it is obvious from my original post that i have read the ROW article, and I, unlike yourself, actually understood it. Edit: Also, in the last ~200 solo bandos kills, i have never recieved; rune javelins, gems or 'nothing', and i have recieved 2x Bandos Boots + 2x Godsword Shard, all with a ring of wealth :) QED, The Logical Crusader of Can't Read Obviously i can't read, however it still makes no sense for the ring to even exist if it has no actually useful use. Assuming equal probability of all possibilities from 1 to 30, the expected value (or average) is (1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 30) / 30 = 465 / 30 = 15.5. Yea, skew left. Vocab fail there. And also, I took 0 into account as well. I'm assuming 0's are important in the calculating average hit. Do the math again, and you'll get 15, not 15.5.

Well, that's assuming it's a perfectly normal distribution. I'm fairly sure it's skewed to the right, in that most of your hits will lean towards the higher end of the damage spectrum, so your average hit will be a bit higher. If your case does apply, then a max hit of 30 would imply that your average hit would be (30+0)/2=15, not 15.5. Also, Runescape damage doesn't really work that way. Your average hit with a torso would be increased by 1, not .5, because +4 str entails an extra hit per hit you inflict. Considering no one really knows the facts, that's as far as I can go. You'd have a 3.33% increase in damage, but that's only if your max is 30. If your max is 1, you'd gain a 100% increase in damage, and if your max is 100, you'll have a 1% increase in damage. Sorry if the the above text was confusing. In conclusion (transitions that take you back to 6th grade, lol), your average will be increased by 1 hit. A 3.3% increase is misleading, as your max hit will always change.

Sometimes the timer gets crossed off even though the timer hasn't completely ran out. Try timing it yourself. I agree though, it does get confusing.

I usually finish within 1 unicorn/war tort pouch on Kuradal tasks. I use trumoil + ext pots though.

Nice... Built in mouse keys with laptop, if you work it that way. The high exp/hour yield with cleaning herbs comes from cleaning lants and dwarf weeds. Basically, the high level herbs.

I just rushed random people with hand cannon to use my last pair of range brawlers, lol. It was fun. I suggest using rune bolts on Black Demons under Edgeville. It's single combat, and there's a ladder you can run up, so you wont die if you're attentive. You need POH to use prayer brawlers effectively. War Tort with bones and glory tele in house. Go to house, use bones, tele to Edgeville with glory and repeat. You can also go to +1 world and bury the bones in level 1 wildy. Should be safe, since 3 steps and you're safe.

Sit down at a computer and sing along with iTunes while looking around for random info on teh intrawebs, lol. Sounds gay, but it isn't... well, kind of... 4chan usually does the trick.
