12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
So amazing... OMG... Lol. Well, I saw some of the rewards, and I cried... Chaotic Rapier --> Corp = Boned Sideways. Repair cost, assuming you acquire a lot of tokens by the time you hit level 80, is 200k for 10 hours, which is literally as cheap as barrows, and it pwns balls. The shields are also domination for many select monsters. Range Shield + Chaotic Rapier = even more boned sideways Corp. I'm liking the layout of the dungeon, too. Sure, it might seem like a minigame, but it's definitely more of a skill than it is a minigame. Don't know why people are complaining first day (I'm assuming all the haters have played this game extensively and know how intricate it might be?), considering the rewards are awesome, the dungeon is [bleep]ing huge, and it incorporates a ton of useless skills (except firemaking... wtf -.-). There are so many levels and areas to this place, there's no way I'd compare this to any kind of minigame. Also, did anyone notice this is basically a huge [wagon] update to mage, as well? The amulet, the new staffs, and the shield that reduces melee damage. Very nice update overall.

you appear to be missing combat familiars and super/extreme sets... You would probably have been 99 slayer months ago using Combat Pots... Fix'd

Blessed spirit shield
It's an awesome shield that's pretty rare. IT's at a good price now, so I'd buy it. It's like a mini DFS, and with DFS being stable at 30M+, I can only see BSS stabilizing at a little under 10M.

Good alternative to claws for special attack
Claws > D Hally = AGS > Everything Else Claws are great for combo hits, since you can hit 500+ easily, switch off to range, then move onto GS after range hit. D Hally spec hits a lot higher than AGS, but it's also slower, which is why AGS is equal to it in strength.

WFs w/ Uni
Don't use any prayers against WFs with unicorn, except for maybe piety/turmoil. Just pile your inven with super/ext pots and unicorn pouches+scrolls. Use Melee Void or Karils.

Take... Nez Helm > Verac Helm > Fighter Helm Fury > Everything Karil Top > Black D'Hide Body > ACP Karil Skirt > Black D'hide Chaps > Arma Skirt > Tassys Ranger Boots (I don't recommend these) > Dragon Boots Accumulator = SW Cape > Other stuff --> Matters if you take hand cannon/crystal bow/karil's bow, or broad bolts MA Rings (Diamond+) > Archer Ring > Warrior Ring > Zerker > Rol Take Darklight, GS (any GS), D Claws for special, and Rune C'Bow + Broad Bolts 1 Unicorn + 75 scrolls, alch runes, sapphire lantern, 10 prayer potions, 2 ext range/atk/str pots, and sharks. Use the north safe spot. Watch people lure for the first few trips, then try it on your own. Luring is really easy, and you shouldn't have any problem even your first attempt.

Solo bandos, or solo TDs
Without overloads, you're looking at less than 20, for sure. With extremes, turmoil, and yak, you wont get crashed as easily, but you will quite often. Take 5-8 spec restores per trip, and you're set. Also, they're not better money than TD's, just more consistent. Dry kills at TD's are like 10k each, on average, while dry Bandos kills are like 40k each, with bones.

Solo bandos, or solo TDs
Yes, easily. You don't have turmoil, therefore you're an easy crash. I could literally crash you with whip + dds. Stick with td's.

Verac Helm > Torags/Dharoks > Nez Fury > Stole > Glory Verac top = Karil top > Black D'hide Top > Torags/Dharoks Verac Skirt > Torag/Dharok Legs > Karil skirt Infinity Boots > Dragon Boots MA rings > ROL (the small bonuses given by zerker/archer/seers/warrior rings are near worthless) SW Cape > Ardy Cape (3) > Skill cape (t) > Fire Cape --> switch off to accumulator when you range, if you're using bolts Whip + Obby shield (if you can get BSS, get one) > 2H --> Use EE/SGS to heal Rune C'Bow + Broad Bolts > Crystal Bow Fire Surge = COG + Charge > Slayer Dart --> Use guthix god cape when you use COG Take war tortoise full of brews with a unicorn pouch + 100 scrolls at the last two spots. Bring 2 antipoison p++, Teleport tab, 10 super restores, excess gear (listed above), and brews.

Good alternative to claws for special attack
Doubt you've been to TD's, but DDS will probably hit once every other kill, if that. Best spec weapon to use there is D Claws, followed by a D Hally. D Hally spec is beastly at TD's, and almost as good as claws.

solo maging rex
Spinop's do significantly more damage now, after the constitution update. Remainders add up when there's 2-3 hitting you continuously, and remainders on hits that barely ever reach 5 damage constitute (:D) a large percentage increase in total damage. Guthans would be your easiest option, which would let you stay as long as your prayer potions keep up. Second would be to take karils and sacrifice some prayer bonus.

Chill out , they no longer buy 1m over min , im guessing you could sell for medium atm and make a quick buck :) There are times after an update where people just panic the hell out, sometimes for hours. After the panic, things go back to normal prices. This only works with semi expensive items, like spectral, arcane, ags and sgs. Buy at min on the panic, and sell when things stabilize during the day. Edit: Also works the other way around. People put in buy offers for max, only to realize that it was a panic buy that lasted maybe a couple hours at maximum,

Hand Cannon
23 kills in around 40 minutes. The lures were really messed up because of noobs that decided it was cool to lure 3 td's in one spawn.... In the wrong order... [/rant] ... Trips are usually 50 minutes long with 10 p pots, 2 ext range/atk/str pots, 40 uni scrolls used, 1 uni pouch, and a negligible number of broad bolts (like 150 used at 120gp each). Around 400k loot each time, sometimes more, but usually never less than that. Edit at Seren's edit: I know I can cover the cost of the shot, and I don't care if I profit 100k or so less/hour using cannon. All I need to know is if the cannon break rate will start making me lose money/trip or if the break rate is high enough that I make less than 100k/hour. I just need to know the break rate.

Hand Cannon
Extreme range + Turmoil. Hand cannon is hitting around 300's with the occasional 450's without any boosting prayer (aside from extreme range pots), and BGS has an average hit of like 450, and can hit almost 650's without spec. I use D Claws for specials (After a couple hundred specials, I've hit below 400 maybe 10 times max), and then combo after spec with hand cannon + BGS after that. In the first 10 seconds of the kill, the TD is usually 2/3 HP left. Edit: In the trip I just did, I used a little under 76k in hand cannon shot (cannon didn't break) and got 400k in loot. Used 10 p pots = less than 120k. So I definitely profit... Just how much with cannon break rates added. I know I make a profit with Claw drops added in, but I'm not gonna rely on those just to offset the fast kills. Edit2: Bladewing, what's your average hit with rune bolts? That's the one thing I haven't tried at TD's.

Hand Cannon
Well, shots are really cheap, and I barely use any per kill, unlike broads. Usually range is the slow factor in killing td's, but with cannon, range is almost on par with melee, leading to bloody fast kills. I just want to know if I can still make a profit off of normal drops with cannon break rate; I know I can cover the cost of the shot/trip. Also, the rate is really erratic. My first cannon from the start of the update, lasted over 2500 shots easy in PvP, and I was using it mainly for the specials (specials = faster break rate). When I started using them for normal hits, my second cannon broke after less than 10 or something during the first fight with it.

Hand Cannon
So, I was using hand cannon at TD's just a while ago, and I was getting totally OP kill rates (I was killing faster than spawn rate in world 2...max people), but then cannon exploded -.- I just need to know hand cannon break rate to determine if it's even worth the extremely fast kills. I'm 99 fm (13.3M exp, if that matters), and I'm not using the cannon for its specials. Thanks.

But shouldn't you be using the abyssal whip then if you really into speed???? I'm sure they hit a lot higher than d claws. ... Considering you just mastered TD luring... I doubt you know... First of all, whip sucks there. Zammy spear on crush is like 4 times better, and that's when whip has rune defender with it. I can count on my hands how many times my D Claws have hit under 500, and that includes my "01s". Also, SGS doesn't speed up kills at TDs, which is what everyone aims to do. Speed is what matters with fast banking. Sorry for the off topic post but is a z spear + claws better than using a bgs + claws at tormented demons? No. I use BGS + Claws and it's beastly. Zammy Spear + Claws is just better than Whip + Claws. Getting around 35 kills/hour with current gear.

university students
Sometimes it doesn't matter how fast you are, you can't always be the first to sign up.. I can't speak for all universities, but at mine, if you are a freshman/sophomore, there is a good chance that the classes you want/need will be filled up because juniors/seniors get to sign up before you (and sophomores before freshman). Then within each of those years, the students' sign up appointments are staggered. One freshman may not be able to sign up until 1pm on March 15th, another freshman not until 4pm on March 15th, and a third freshman not until 9am on March 16th. of course noone can sign up before they can sign up. But if you sign up at the first opportunity you have, and structure what classes you need for your degrees, you will finish in standardized time. At least with my friends, and my sister's friends all over the UC system in particular, never heard of someone who tries who can't do standardized time. You have choices within a degree, so we all get confronted with reality when we realize we can't have everything we want the first semester, or choose only the most popular classes. However, you can always make your degree, and get many of the subjects you want to be a part of that degree. There would be general outrage if that wasn't the case. :o never heard of that issue. Hopefully it wont apply to me. Anyone know the case at UC Berkeley? Gonna double Major in Math + Something else; probably medical. I've been taught as a kid that the UC's are the greatest things to happen to Indians... -.- Or so I've heard
