  1. Tomorrow, it's been confirmed by Mod Emilee. Thanks for the answer(s). ;)
  2. Exciting! Gonna be hard to resist when studying. :ohnoes: What does it not involve to call it batch 2?
  3. Except row has no effect on dragon chains, neither on rune stuff. You are correct on the half key part though.
  4. Drop rates of what items exactly? They are pretty much useless anywhere.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply, that is a lot of extra xp for one of the best money-making monsters ingame. Nice reward for 85 dungeoneering. :^_^:
  6. Since many people on this thread claimed Frost Dragons to be great effigy droppers, could someone give a rough estimate of how many kills/effigy?
  7. With a boss like Corporeal, wealth is also a bit luck-based. Some friends had several sigils and are now considered uberrich, some other friends have corped the same ammount of time and are stil "poor". But you're right imo, the insanely rich get rich richer every day on a whole different scale. That's greed for you. <_<
  8. Gems are on the rare drop table. ROW only affects the chances of getting items on the rare drop table. I don't see how it is misleading. It's explained quite well. I honestly don't remember seeing this on the KBase until you guys posted it. O_o And yes, it is still misleading. A lot of people still assume that it increases the chances of rare drops, when it doesn't. I'm guessing this may have been obvious for a few peeps but there were lots of theories behind the ROW regarding it increasing coin drops, charms, clues, etc etc. When he said this in game, people were shocked at the response. They promised to be clearer on the workings of the row, a few weeks later they added the article. And yes, I was as shocked as you were, it is utterly useless.
  9. Overpowered you say? Capped at 30k xp/day it isn't really that much...
  10. I had 3 so far, but I haven't exactly been slaying a lot. (one from gargoyles, one from dark beasts, one from steel dragons) Assisting effigies got me 97 herblore and an easy 30k xp on farming/herblore/crafting. At first they seemed overpowered, now I consider them a nice little extra on my way to 99 slayer. If you guys have problems with effigies: w117 Daemonheim, 'assist clan' or 'effigies cc' might help
  11. Thanks for the pictures! Looks promising.
  12. Interesting, seems that a lot more people use bots then we could have imagined. And with the current handling of assumed botting, these numbers will only increase.
  13. That would make the GE completely obsolete, not? You people do know in which hands the vast majority of phats/crackers/half wines/divines/elysians are at the moment, right? Merch (manipulation) clan owners and friends, who else has rising items to buy them and later on has billions of crashing items to sell these phats with? The problem in my opinion is the GE, it can be abused too easily by frauds who create monopolies. Via this monopoly, a lot of cash is generated for those who are in control and a lot of junk by those who are being scammed. Take a look in the rares section on RSOF, people selling phats are the people stuck with manipulated items, the worst crashing, useless junk imagineable. How did they get this in the first place one should ask. If GE mechanics would be modified to take away the possibility of making monopolies with sufficient cash, this would be one step closer to a solution. Monopolies are forbidden in the real world, why not in RS? If you think my point is invalid, could you think of any circumstance a normal player (be it skiller or a monster hunter) gathers billions upon billions of junk?
  14. +1 Would make their life a lot easier. (although I like a surprise but with BTS the surprise-effect is already gone :-P)
  15. Won't this put them under alot of pressure again? Which lead to bug-infested updates in the past, I don't want to go back to that.
  16. I don't get it... They plan updates per week, if an update gets postponed, what happens to the update planned for the week after? I guess they have different development teams working on different updates at the same time. Team A is working on this update, planned for this week. Technical problems lead to a no update week so team A continues working on this update to make it bugfree. -> perfectly understandable Team B was working on next weeks update, due to technical difficulties from team A their update gets postponed a week. -> Team B has next week off? :P To sum it up: Wouldn't a no update week increase the likelihood of two updates the week after? I'm not familiar with developing a game, if someone can enlighten me, please do. ;) EDIT: I know they don't to 2 updates/week, at least not on a regular basis, I know they did it once. Simply don't understand why, when the update was supposed to be ready after all.
  17. Not necessarily the same workers work on the new skill/last skill. It takes a lot of time to develop a skill, I think it would be safe to put 'minimum a year' on a new skill. From drawing board -> bugfree release. If they aren't working on a skill right now, this would mean no skill this time next year. That is rather disappointing... :???:
  18. That just about killed every worthwhile non-skilling ring. You are correct, this is indeed in the FAQ. Can't they do something 100% correct for a change! Berserker tier 7 btw, on my main and pure... <_<
  19. [hide] Such as what? fishing blue crabs, cave morays, and maybe salve eels. Enchanting high level bstaffs is great runecrafting xp hunting of mastyx is also good if you leave traps and come back for em later. err, that's all for off the top of my head :) yup, every 9k coins = 100+ fast rc xp so if u have 200k at the end thats 2k xp on 1 quick inv, i always do that last after alching my stuff i might also add, thieveing those chests are always worth it tier 8 9 and 10 trees are about the same xp as mages/ivy but you get a log every 3 seoncds, so thats 2k fast xp herblore isnt *faster* than the outside world but i dont mind grabbing 1k herb xp off of all the high pots i get, lycos and winters grips i pick up for 5-10 pots at the end, some are 200+ xp per pot on those 2 so that might actualy save you 50k on herb per dung tons more but yea its fun skilling in a solo medium, althought its inferior dung xp/h [/hide] Just tried a medium sized dungeon, the rock room gave awsome xp. (490 xp each rock)
  20. Well, it IS world 1 after all. And only 2% of all the people playing RS actually reads the updates. If you want to team up with a friend and do a large 5:5, you still have to advertise to be sure you're in a team with your friend. This should be an option when you enter the auto-group-make room imo.
  21. Yes to #1 and #3, don't know if #2 is technically possible. Also #2 is unfair if you lag out, which I encounter several times/day on w117. If you meant making it 5:5 again if someone rejoins, I agree. Yes please, I suggested this too on RSOF. Considering it is a skill, it is very unlikely though.
  22. Was also really looking forward to this, refreshing the RS-frontpage several times/day to see if it updated. Oh well, it's a good thing they test it thoroughly before releasing. This update probably involves a huge ammount off coding.
  23. A few hours ago alot of buying threads with noone replying, now alot off selling threads with noone replying. Seems I spoke too soon.
  24. Santas seem to be bought out again according to RSOF-threads. Bought one extra yesterday, sold instantly for minimum.
