Why do people with 99 in a skill stil need to collect those two rocks? That's stupid imo. You mastered the skill, but apparently you didnt... <_<

Will ZMI be worth it in the bonus xp weekend? (2X the 2X xp in runecrafting) I am planning on spending 7 hours in that weekend on RC if it works. First a tree run, then make all my blue charms, 2.7k super prayer potions, crimson charms til 99 summoning, rest of first 10 hours RC (or fishing)

First: You don't "beat runescape" by abusing a bug. Second: There is this little x-button in the top right corner, you can click it to close Runescape. You should try it if you really think that you are wasting your life. Three: Alot of those who were banned will make new accounts and start again. (just like some of my maxed friends do, start all over again with a new account)

I'll be profiting from this "exp weekend", but I don't like the idea at all.

It is not his point that everyone would/must buy it. Even if only a few people buy it every day, or even some people in a month, it would still have a lasting effect on the economy/inflation. Good idea in my opinion, those people who would like to buy it are happy and nothing changes for the ones who don't. But aren't prices already dropping as we speak? It seems the peak has been reached imo.

This morning, a guy was on his way to join us for a game of non combat sc, he missed the game by a minute. When he realised it, he said 'imma go kill myself' and he ran away. I thought he was joking and said 'lol', when I could have reported him and have the local police show up at his door. Lol! I know what I'm doing next time... :lol: (maybe I can't advertise here, but 'fast sc' is a great non-combat stealing creation cc ;-) )

I didn't include it because I didn't feel a need to address it. Since you want me to, here's a brief explanation. The nominal value (i.e. how many coins it's worth) of the partyhats may fall, but their real value (i.e. that they are worth more than other items in the game) will only increase, since supply is ever dwindling. Making money will always be faster now than it was three years ago. Even if coins are "nerfed" and you only get 1 coin for every 100 coins you used to (e.g. a nature rune is 3 coins, an Armadyl godsword is one million coins) - which would cause "average" income rates to drop from 500k/hour to 5k an hour - the true value created (in terms of potential xp or whatever) will be far higher because we have new items that multiply our productivity. This is called capital. New teleports, better weapons, better armor, better prayers, better potions, familiars, and still others greatly improve what one hour of playing yields. If a purple partyhat drops to 10 million coins, I will guarantee you that your Armadyl Godsword will be less than 3 million, your Bandos chestplate will be less than 500k, etc. For more reading on this subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_versus_nominal_value_%28economics%29 That is correct, sir. :^_^:

It is FAR easier to earn the money for a partyhat now than it was a few years ago. It is conceivable to make 3m an hour, which if paying "street prices", it'll take you about 130 hours to buy a purple partyhat at that rate. A few years ago, you topped out at about 400k/hour (excluding 91 rc, which was around 900k/hour), which if paying the 90m a purple was worth at that time, would take you over 200 hours. You forgot to quote the first sentence: "Also: "In the long run rares will always rise" you say, but Jagex can make it so hard to make money that rares can even drop in price in the long run." You are correct, making cash these days is relatively easier, but you can't tell it will stay like this forever.

A friend of mine his opinion after reading the clue: Fishing distraction and diversion . Quite possible. (And my hope, fishing + rc = most boring skills in rs atm imo)

But you can't compare wearable rares to edible rares either imo. Most people buy rares to show off, with wearable rares the point is easily made. If nobody can earn 100m, how are they supposed to pay 100m for a partyhat (even if it's getting rarer every day)? I think the removal of free trade took away the inevitable rise of phats in the long run.

Late congratulations on 99 hunter!! :thumbsup: My goal was set on 83 (for dragon implings) and recently took it up again, I can't spend more than 1 hour at it... So quite an achievement in my eyes! And it's true, alot of bots on the chins spots. Alot of bots at monkfish too, never seen them there before.

If you want to be 100% correct, items worth 1 coin can double in price overnight. :twisted: But how would that help in any way? If items could double in price over night, why wouldn't merch clans buy them out for a week (or even months) and then dump? They would make 100% profit the first day, 200% profit the second day, 400% profit the third day, ... Compared to now, thats even worse. So in addition to all of the existing nonsense that saps the fun out of the game, you want MORE places where bureaucrats who barely if ever play the game telling you how much you "honestly" need? 5,000 iron ore takes less than 5 hours to smelt. Oh, what's that, we could pick a different number? Sure -- how do we decide? Hmm, take one part of his reasoning and take it down, nice job. Now take down his point "how you could possibly need 100 sets of armor" please. And you don't decide, Jagex decides. That's what I'm trying to tell everyone all the time, but they don't seem to understand it. If they would update prices constantly. ->Merchants would camp at ge, constantly renewing their offers. Making 5% every ge update (multiple times per day) If they would update prices once a month. -> Wouldn't this make bought out items to be sold with even more junk? How would any of those help? :mellow: Jagex has alot of staff working for them, some of them must be smart enough to figure out a way to handle this mess we call rs-economy.
