I feel like I only turn my thoughts into words when I talk to myself in the same way I would if I was talking or arguing with someone else. When I do, it's English or French, depending on the subject matter. I'll think about Runescape or TIF in English, but I'll think about school in French. Same. I'm not even bilingual and I quite often think in English when it's about the english book I've just read, about Runescape or something similar.

I hate to be a pedant, especially in a language that isn't my mother tongue, but 'mais j'ai oublié' needs a direct object pronoun to make sense, i.e. 'mais je les ai oublié' ('I have forgotten them'). I've never hard that rule before. I could be wrong (someone correct me if I am!) but I think it's just the same as saying "but I forgot". http://de.pons.eu/franzosisch-deutsch/oublier this lists oublier as both transitive, and intransitive, so 'j'ai oublié' should be okay

Did you quit because of the Squeal of Fortune?
I'm not quitting directly because of updates. If they continue this long enough, the game may potentially not be fun for me anymore, at which point I would quit. But right now, that's not the case and I doubt it'll ever be before other reasons make me stop playing.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I wonder if they're even supposed/allowed to post stuff like that considering it suggests a rift within Jagex...it wouldn't be too farfetched to assume Mod rathe has stepped the boundaries here, given that he's not CM and might not just be as aware of the guidelines as CM mods....

Ready for Nomad!
What do you die on? Do you run out of food or does one of his special attacks get you? If it's the specials, you might indeed want to use range. Maybe this will help you out, it's the method I used(What I mentioned above about only using brews): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTIQ8NjfcL0 I had no access to ganodermics at that time, so with that it should really be doable (especially considering I'm far from a bosshunting expert) also, range penalty of gano doesn't matter here.

Why on earth would you LIKE to learn german? It´s a horrible language.... Anyway...for me: Dutch (native) and the local dialect (which has minority language status) fluently. I also speak german (good enough) and quite a bit of french. My english is also quite good. Everyone has different preferences...I for one cannot stand french, at all.

06-June-2012 : Fish Flingers Improvements + Squeal of Neptune
I have to say I don't quite understand why people are upset about that, or rather, why they're more upset than before. I don't like the SoF either, but this isn't worse than what they've already done. So while this annoys me (I'd really like to have a news post without the mention of the freaking SoF), it's not *that* big of a deal either...

Ready for Nomad!
Take a spirit terrorbird filled with additional food. When it's empty, dismiss it and summon a kyatt and use its scroll for attacking nomad. You should also fill your helmet with those scrolls, this will allow for even more attacks of the kyatt. It hits frequent 250s and does quite a lot of damage. You also have the option to just use just brews instead of brews+restores. This will obviously bring your stats down to 0, but neither the kyatt nor the ruby(e) special effect need a range level to hit. Advantage: You can take a lot more food into the fight and the fight itself is more relaxed. Disadvantage: You do less damage(That of your regular range attacks) and possible will get hit more often (Because your magic is lowered, but I'm not sure if that has an effect in the fight) I would recommend that approach if you're not used to using brews+restores, as it's simpler and you're less likely to mess up. If you're comfortable with brews+restores, I'd take the regular approach.

Cryptic Clue Fest 2012
This is what I have for reasoning...most of it already mentioned, some it it very obscure, but well... [hide] Clue 1: We hear the prenom of Robert from 802 for this offspring. (3) King Eggbert ruled from 802, take away the bert(As that is already in Robert) and you have egg, which is offspring) -> Egg A shortened friendslist which is initially under royal oath ambiguously is milled. (5) the shortened friendslist is fl; initially under royal oath - take the initals: u r o; ambigously - It's an anagram of f l u r o, and has to do with a mill -> Flour This drink is fit for a thousand Empress of England who is missing mad Mat, but has the K. (4) Roman thousand is M; Matilda(Empress of england) without mad mat is just il; plus the k -> milk Clue 2: Aethelred roughly lost his quick elemental shield in this stitch up. (6) Aethelred lost his elemental shield, so take away the ele(for elemental) and you get aethrd which is an anagram for -> thread Point north east as these eight kings take fifty east. (6): northeast shortened is ne; eight kings reference the edwardd, so ed; fifty(roman) is L, east abbreviated is e -> needle Particularly tough Aethelred without Edward about for this armour. (4,7) -> particularly tough: hard; aethelred without ed is aethel, an anagram for leather -> hard leather Clue 3: Fifty opulent Georges initially a bit wooden (3) The roman fifty is L; opulent georgoes initally: take the initals, so og; a bit wooden -> log (This should theoretically be logs....) Like copper the 500th Queen fights with fists for this firemaker (9) Like copper is tin; The roman 500 is d; A queen who fights with fists is boxer. A friemaker hints, rearrange this to get -> tinderbox This great can't read about the start of our own royal ground (6) Aelfred (The great) without read is elf or lf, depending on how you spell him. This should probably spell out -> flames, but I'm not sure how to get the mas or emas out of there. [/hide]

German as mother tongue, fluent in English and I've learned french for a while, though it's getting rusty with years of not speaking it.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
I heard there was 2 seasons? So wouldn't it be more like 20+ episodes? Your point still stands though and I agree. Yeah it's 26 episodes altogether, though season 2 will most likely focus on a different story from what I've heard. So Riku's right, there are only really 12 episodes to tell the entire story of Amon.

The Third World
The biggest problems Africa has is corruption and instability. A good democracy would greatly reduce both those problems.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Well, I believe that this was done intentionally to show how much Tarrlok has them in his control, but I agree with you that they should by fleshed out more, maybe explain why they are always agreeing with Tarrlok etc...

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Unless Tarlok is a BAMF who can bloodbend 24/7 and over distances, it doesn't seem likely(The council members would speak out after they are free from bloodbending control) But I agree that the council doesn't seem to matter at all. Not only is the whole concept of it very flawed and open for corruption but as you said, Tarrlok has the other three secure in his grip. I hope the show offers an explanation for that later...

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Yeah, he flipped out, but why? What I've read is that many people considered his expression to be "angry" which wasn't my observation. For me, it looked more like a cross between being shocked and terrified, which would obviously make a connection between those two much more likely. I also agree with that. The pause in the series last week led me to rewatch TLA (I apparently can't live without my avatar fix every week :P) and damn, it was good. The legend of korra doesn't have that effect by far. I guess I'm being a bit unfair as I've already watched 60 episodes of TLA(several times) which is obviously more than those 8 of Korra, but...I really don't feel that emotional investment. I couldn't care less about Asami, and Bolin and Make aren't really established characters either. Even Korra is somewhat...bleak. I also feel like the plot isn't really moving forward. Amon has been established a few episodes earlier, and while things have happened, they kind of always fall in the same category. It's always Amon and the equalists doing their thing, Tarrlok using that ridiculous idea of a council(Really, who thought that was a good idea?) to oppress non-benders more and so on. At least it looks like we'll be seeing some more epic bending fights now...

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I'm disappointed that they specifically mentioned not having the healer role, yet there's no word about upping the effects of lunar spells...I like lunar :(

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
I agree with both of these statements. -looks up who yakone is- Ok. I totally thought it was Tarrlok in the flashback. I guess it would be that Yakone guy. Still. I don't have enough information on what happened to Yakone, but is it possible Yakone = Tarrlok? Since this happened around 40(?) years ago and they look somewhat of the same age, I doubt it. Maybe his father though? They look somewhat the same...

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
What I found interesting is that he started attacking her after she said "You're just as bad as Amon". It could just be that this was the point where he knew there was no chance of Korra working with him...but I think there's more to it. Amon and Tarlock working together for a common goal?
