  1. And maple is more than enough to get all 14 beacons burning (I actually forgot lighting one beacon and had to run back :P) Doesn't really matter anyway though, I'm sure no one's going to get broke from using magic logs for the beacon network ;)
  2. If you hide the hotbar, you can actually type like you used to. Yeah well, and how often do you get the chance not to use the hotbar, especially with an inexistant spellbook? :/
  3. I'm annoyed by the fact that we have no spellbook anymore...yeah I get that we're supposed to drag spells on the hotbar, but I liked having all spells available for me immediately. Since I'm teleporting around a LOT, having all tele spells immediately available is important to me. I wish they could just make an additional spellbook. Also having to hit enter before chatting is really annoying atm, though I guess I should hopefully be able to get used to it.
  4. But they already announced it... not properly, just mentioned it in a video...
  5. I'm happy to have the censor as it is. First of all, I really don't see the need in profanity. While there is nothing inherently wrong with the words themselves, the atmosphere is always a lot nicer when excessive profanity is banned. And I like that every once in a while, I can use a swearword in a certain situation because it'll get covered up. Doesn't really make sense in theory, but in practice I like it for whatever reason :P
  6. Meh, it was mediocre. Not something to complain about, but with the last good quest being so long ago already, it's quite disappointing. It had it's witty moment, but apart from that there was nothing special. I would have hoped we would really be able to design our own quest(within certain bounds of course) instead of only being able to choose between the position of decorations -.- Jagex is quite capable of good storytelling. Look at one piercing note, the fremmenik sagas (especially vengance and nadir), the chosen commander, branches of darkmeyer, while guthix sleeps....and I could name a lot more. I really wish we'll get a real quest again sometime soon :/
  7. Tz-Haars use a Base-12 system, which means you multiply the last digit with 12^0 (=1), the second to last digit with 12^1 (=12), the third to last with 12^2(=144), and so on. They have no 0, and as such each digit can go up to 12. In that particular example, it's 1*12 + 5*1 = 17
  8. Lolwut. Please elaborate. Well seeing as the xp is not shared good tasks i.e high slayer xp tasks would be undesirable duo tasks, as you would only get half the xp you usually would You'd only get half the xp...but in half the time. Therefore it makes 0 impact to getting good xp really. Also with any task you want it to end as fast as possible, tasks that give the best xp do finish much faster anyway because by being faster they maximise xp per hour, which makes it entirely false to say 'if the task gives good xp, you wouldn't want it to end faster' because anyone who DOES care about good xp will in fact wnat every task to be as fast as possible. I mean sure a 1 hour task killing 60 of a monster that gives 100xp each may seem like good xp, but a 30min task killing 120 of a monster that gives 50xp is much better xp because it is faster. If you duo every task, you need half the time and get half the xp. The xp stays the same If you duo only bad tasks, the percentage of the time spent on good tasks increases, therefore you get more xp. Therefore it's the better way to only duo bad tasks.
  9. The only thing I can think of is Shakira - Loca, although the lyrics really aren't that similar...
  10. I would definitely be in favor of this. It would mean we can create topics, focusing on one specific aspect of the beta without cluttering up general discussion
  11. If you aren't familiar with Sara brews, there is a method that I can recommend that worked quite well for me. Essentially, the kyatt attack and the ruby(e) special both hit regardless of ranged level. You can fight nomad solely relying on those two attacks(tbh, your normal range attacks probably aren't going to hit that high anyway). This allows you to just take loads of sara brews without having to worry about restores at all. Basic setup: Max Mage defence and soaking. Attack bonuses are irrelevant. Enchant your helm and load it with kyatt scrolls Take a kyatt pouch and additional scrolls for your inventory. A few super restore or prayer potions so you won't run out of prayer points. For the rest, load your invy and your summoned tortoise with brews (Possibly brew flasks if you think it's going to be a close call) Set your left-click option to special attack. Walk in on nomad and just start attacking him with with the ruby(e). Evade the specials as far as you can. For the clone attack, you can stay behind a pillar until the clones vanish. This gives you time to drop empty vials(if you aren't using flasks) and to withdraw more from your bob. Once the tortoise is empty, dismiss it, summon the kyatt and just spam the attack as often as you can. In terms of prayer, use piety for the normal fight and piety+protect melee when he goes berserk. You could use leech magic curse if you get 78 prayer. Also, the stepping back and forth behind the pillar...tbh I'm doubtful how much this is going to help you. It sounds like you have similar problems to what I had, and for me the pillar thing didn't really work properly. It messed up more attacks than really slow him down. You can do it without too. I did it at similar levels without damage soaking or flasks, and trust me, I'm not a bosshunting expert.
  12. Or watch them on youtube if that doesn't bother you.
  13. Yeah that was pretty ridiculous :P I'm happy that italy got through. I didn't really support either team, but if England had got through in penalties after this match, it would just have been plain unfair. (Though that is bound to happen at times of course) I'm wondering though if they're going to continue to have such big problems actually scoring a goal even with good chances. It has happened quite often in this championship already, and in the end it's goals that count, not chances. Still, my respect for Italy has grown and semi-finals against them is going to be a hard match.
  14. My last post was before I got membership again, and....wow. They certainly have become a lot worse. They don't really seem to be connected to fcs anymore either. For me the part that's actually bothering me the most is how pointless this is. Those pms are so illegible you can't make out anything anyways. If I wanted to buy gold(I don't - just in case), I'd google it and not spend minutes deciphering such a pm....
  15. I am wondering - has Suomi done livid farm? If not, would it be worth it for getting remote farming?
  16. If that is true, then by all means I should have one, but alas I don't. Unless they haven't gone around to doing it. If that was the case, they'd give it out on the 26th. The 50k other applicants haven't even been informed yet (right?)
  17. We knew for a while that Season 2 would not be continueing the same storyline, but have some new (kind of) enemy. Possibly some elements of Season 1 could get reused again(e.g. equalists causing unrest, but not as the main problem)
  18. Generally this although currently there's a bug with salamander trapping. If a salamander collapses your trap without getting caught, the spot to set up the trap becomes unwalkable for a minute, therefore you can't use that trap. Until that is fixed, I recommend only using orange salamanders even if you can catch red, as their catch rate is far higher and this will happen less to you.
  19. So, after this season is finished, I can say I liked it...but nothing more either. It was far from the feeling of awesomeness that you'd get when watching TLA. My two main gripes: [hide] 1.The season is too short. They spend far too less time on developing characters. Asami's fight with her father didn't touch me in the least (because I still don't really care about Asami) and while it's a bit better with Bolin and Mako, I can't relate to them that well either. The only scenes that were genuinely gripping in an emotional way for me was Korra standing on the cliff, Lin getting her bending back in a way and I guess Tarrlok blowing up himself and Amon, just because it was shocking. 2. The other thing is that they've tried to take the show into a more serious direction, but I don't think it worked that well. They started with civil unrest, non-benders being oppressed and the equalists trying to do something about that. They ended with a typical "the villain has been defeated, everything's good". I feel like LOK tried to make a compromise between the style of TLA and a more serious approach, and in the end failed to satisfy both sides properly. [/hide]
  20. The wilderness was the least of my problems with AC1... I guess you're right about a game just being more of the same, and reapplying a few basic things, but other games do this better than AC. This may not bother everyone I guess, so if you find it still enjoyable, great. I think one of the problems was not only that it was repetitive, but also too easy. Usually with good games, you have to apply all the knowledge you've gathered, you have to train the specific rl skills you need and you have to try a few times to get the knack of it. In both AC1&2, I never really felt challenged. In the first one, after initally getting used to the system, I didn't fail a single assassination even once, and usually no side tasks either. AC2 was a bit more challenging I guess, but most of it still felt far too easy and that you're wasting time with doing tasks that just take some amount of time to finish but that aren't really challenging.
  21. [hide] While I have to say that I still don't like Amon being a bloodbender (I would have found it far more interesting if there actually were spirits involved), I think this was done quite well with that as the planned story. I just hope that they don't completely drop the topic of non-bender oppression. Saying "everything's alright now because Amon was a liar" would be wrong. [/hide]
  22. Well I found the first AC to be quite enjoyable...for the first few missions. After that, it was constantly the same thing over and over again. It was also ridiculously easy. I was conflicted about buying the second one because it looked cool and people said it was much more diverse. Decided to not buy it in the end, but then got it as a present. Again enjoyable...until I had adapted to everything new and then it was mostly repeating usual stuff again. Both ACs have never really interested me story or character wise, just pure gameplay. I would advise playing more than the first 30 minutes (because I'd do that for every game) but if you don't like this one, I very much doubt you're going to like the next ones.
