 It's the first big snow of the year here. It's snowing like crazy and we're supposed to get more than a foot. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow morning and do some sledding.
  2. I'm Only Sleeping - The Beatles
  3. But there are 386 Pokemon when Leaf Green came out. In order to catch them all you'd need Fire Red, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Colleseum, Gale of Darkness, and another Gamecube game. Everything above 151 is a ruse meant to steal money from little children who want to pay for expensive pieces of paper with cartoon animals printed on them. My brother had FireRed, and we did this thing where he restarted the game 5 times so we could each get all the starters. I started getting the Pokemen from Ruby to trade to Leafgreen for the pokedex, but it's a huge pain to go around collecting every little critter, especially when most are just reskins of the originals. I actually almost went to one of those conventions to get Mew once. I was pretty intense.
  4. I won't post pictures of my alarm clocks because they're pretty uninteresting, but I will say I use two, and they're on the opposite side of the room. I somehow still manage to get up and turn both alarms off each morning and then get back in bed without waking up. I need one of those alarm clocks with wheels.
  5. I played Ruby and LeafGreen (both GBA), and got all 150 in Leafgreen. I guess you could say I caught 'em all. Those were the days (last week).
  6. Here, There, and Everywhere - The Beatles What a beautiful song.
  7. TF2 Beta is essentially Vanilla with no unlocks, no hats, and no (lasting) drops. People play it because they don't like how TF2 is becoming an MMORPG with the way people focus on hats. They refresh it every so often, removing any hats/drops, and you start out with all the weapons. They also pre-test random stuff in it, like the recent Natascha downgrade, and the upcoming Scout shortstop nerf. I woudln't encourage playing it unless you're interested in trying out a weapon you don't have and can't be bothered to get. The main reason is that there are no hats. TF2 without hats is like life without God. Why even bother?
  8. Revolver - The Beatles
  9. In addition to my previous post (Foosball table, etc.), I got a couple gift cards, some random stuff, a pocket watch, and Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut (I asked for it a while back, I have no idea how anyone remembered). One of the gift cards is for Barnes and Noble, so I'll head down there at some point to pick out a few more books. Also, the family got some random board games and Wii Sports Resort, which is decent as far as the Wii goes. And socks. There will always be socks. There was a suprising lack of Legos in my house this year. Do kids just not like them any more? It probably has something to do with the fact that my youngest brother has tons of video games, while I grew up without even a TV. E: Also, my dad bought the Beatles album Revolver for the family. I know what I'll be listening to today.

Lol k fine then, it just got a fact about Yossarian wrong. He wasn't physically disabled at all, if anything he was mentally disabled. I guess it's pretty cool. Like reverse google or something. I bet you could find new characters by putting in the traits you want, although I don't know why you'd want to.
  11. Dupin replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
It just looks up the character, asks you a bunch of questions, then tells you the character. There's no guessing involved. Wait...was I not supposed to put "Yossarian" into the "Username" thing? Oh and God hates them and they should be ashamed. Church has shown me that African-American society is doomed, and the whole Harlem Renaissance was just a fraud stolen from the Europeans. Religion: Amidoinitrite?

With Daxter, I beat him on his first guess, but when I continued he got me. EDIT: Try two I truly beat him with Valmont. This is fake. I accidentally clicked "Yes" when asked if the character was physically impaired, but he still guessed correctly that it was Yossarian from Catch-22.
  13. I disagree, actually. You're right that they both need space, and moving out will be good for healing, but for someone as overprotective as she, leaving like that could cause a lot of problems. She needs to be prepared and accepting of any sort of move towards independence. College is exactly the sort of thing that would work, but just disappearing for a bit, even if you tell her beforehand, will make her worry more rather than less. Her worry is, obviously, that if she lets you be independent something may happen to you like the way things happened to your uncle, and you need to assure her it won't, even if you aren't entirely sure yourself.
  14. Well, it's still Christmas Eve, but I know a couple things I'm getting. -My Grandpa gave me $100. I'll let it sit around in my wallet because I don't need anything. -I didn't ask for anything from my parents. Or, rather, I did, but I wasn't specific enough to expect anyone remembered. I thought I would go down to the bookstore with my mom at some point to get a few books I had pointed out to her, but she refused. I guess I should have gotten my license earlier. So anyways, I'll probably get some money/gift cards and some random junk that I didn't want but won't mind getting. And some socks. -I just spent two and a half hours with some uncles putting together a Foosball table which was a massive pain in the ass, but should be fun tomorrow morning. That's a present for the whole family from Santa. My youngest brother still believes in Santa. It's pretty wierd. He's like 9.
  15. True story. What is scarfed? The term "scarfed" refers to the item "choice scarf" which drastically increases speed, but it only allows you to use one of your four attacks. But "Shock Wave" has a special effect that it always goes first, so wouldn't it not matter which items you equip? Well, first of all, shock wave doesn't have that effect. Shock wave just ignores accuracy and evasion modifiers. A scarfed Zapdos would create a speed tie, and then it would be a coin flip to decide who goes first (and therefore who wins). It's been years since I played the thing, so I'm sure you know more about it than I. I always thought shock wave was super-fast, so I wouldn't have to worry about any annoying speedy guys getting a move in. Zapdos is pretty fast too. And I think Drill Peck is fast. Moves have a certain pre-set speed, right?
  16. Is it me or do all liberals hate America? That's a pretty big umbrella statement coming from someone who wants to downsize the government. Nobody trusts a big government. You're just taking a contrary stand because you know he's a radical. It really makes no difference when the billionaires control the government. Guys lets keep this topic gay, please. His statement seemed pretty gay to me. OT: The real issue here was that DADT was allowing military officials to fire those who were openly gay. It's going to be difficult for some to live with a gay guy, but nobody's any gayer than before, we're just protecting the rights of those who wish to be open about it.
  17. Micheal Phelps is freaky. He might be muscular and wear skimpy bathing suits, but he's like all [bleep]ed up from spending his life swimming. I read it in the paper a few years ago before he was big. He has wierd walks and strange joints and stuff.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone. Celebrating with the family, then I might actually go to bed early for once. Maybe. I also went to church for the first time in years, and it was not awful. Bad, but not awful.
  19. The word "week" implies that it extends until next Thurs/Fri, the thirtieth. I think they've got rid of the drop cap as well. Also, found a pot for the soldier.

  21. True story. What is scarfed?
  22. Fat chance. Drill peck and Thunder are both very fast attacks, and if I'm really worried, Shock Wave's special effect is that it always goes first. I doubt a flying pokemon would survive an electric attack from a lvl 100 Zapdos. If I have the time, though, nothing survives Thunder. NOTHING. My brother had a lvl 100 Charizard, I know these things.
  23. I'll bet my lvl 100 Zapdos can beat it. I'm not even joking. Thunderbolt [bleep]ing owns. I used to only take my level 100 Charizard and like 5 eggs to the elite four. Why? For fun, I would guess. In most games, how quickly eggs hatch would depend on how far you walk with them in the inventory, not on combat. I've gone through the elite four with just one pokemon, the Zapdos, just for the hell of it. My favorite thing to do, though, was take a low-leveled pokemon and give him that shared exp thing, then just go through the elite four one-hitting everyone. Fastest training evar. By the way, as a flying pokemon, lightning attacks would be super-effective against Charizard. ;-) Gf.
