  1. Dclaws for sure. Remember to use the stab option, I find it helps a lot.
  2. To answer op's question, since you have maxed melee I'd say get rapier. A friend of mine recently got cls, and I recently got rapier. we decided to go against eachother in tasks, boss hunting etc. to see which weapon was better. Neither of us have access to extremes, but he has turmoil whereas I do not. In every slayer task, I beat him by about 10-20 kills for tasks of about 100 monsters with myself using piety and him using turmoil. Using the exact same setup for bandos/ zammy, I ended up with a few more brews/rocktails than him in the end. In everything we've tried, rapier has beaten out the cls. This may not apply to someone with lower stats than you and I, but at your level you must certainly want the rapier.
  3. I'm still not going to do level 3 clues, but since I'm good at celtic knots I figure elite clues would be good for me to do. I've only done one so far, but I got an 800k reward and the clue only took 20 minutes. If I continue to get any sort of luck, I'll be doing level 4s for a long time. (Got a fury ornament from clue)
  4. I find it odd that you all think runecrafting is really tedious. Getting 85 wasn't all that bad. I found agility to be much more painful, but maybe that's just me. Money skills aside, I know that agility, slayer and runecrafting (and at the moment, dungeoneering) are the hardest (but not necessarily slowest) skills. Agility is rather slow experience leading up to 70, and has no profit involved beyond the extra run energy. Slayer is the slowest exp/hour overall and requires many other stats/skills, and runecrafting is rather repetitive but gains money. It's going to be different for everyone I suppose. Since the introduction of effigies, I can get 30k+ rc exp an hour just by training slayer, which is how I plan to get 99.
  5. Mahogany Logs --> Mahogany Tables With butler discount = 11gp/xp. 500k exp an hour. 15 hours, 80m.
  6. I wear my slayer and agility capes because I am proud of them, simply. I cam back to rs exactly one year ago with none of these 99s and to me it's a great achievement. I won't bash your cape at all if you don't bash mine. For some people, 99 cooking is an achievement. For some people, 50m slayer exp is easy. If it's an achievement for you, you should wear your cape with pride.
  7. Chaotic weapons won't make whips obsolete - They are still the best non degradable general use weapon. During slayer (once I get my crapier) I won't be using it during cannon tasks. It's a waste of money for a 3% increase in killing speed since I'll be in combat nearly 100% of the time during dagannoths etc. and I don't think an extra 1k exp is worth 200k. There will still be uses for the whip, It won't crash hard for a long time I think.
  8. I don't know if this is old news or not, but has anyone considered using magic trees for contruction and farming exp? It's about 130k in both an hour, and costs 223 gp/xp. This may seem like a lot, but any of the high level players that are good merchers could make good use out of this. 200m farming would be easily possible within a year with this.
  9. A lot of your estimates are off. Mind you these are the top players, they'll only be using the best methods. From 99 200m cook is only 180 hours done right, and it's not like anyone on the top 50 will use anything but magic logs for fm (and they should gain a substantial amount of exp from teaks.) Also, smithing, magic, hunter and agil exp rates are wrong just from looking at them. Fishing should be done with power dropping at barb, yielding about 19m agil exp for 200m fish, and 200m hunter should yield something like 25m+ for agil. Smithing and magic are a byproduct of mining.
  10. No problem for me. I use my real name for those reasons already.
  11. Regardless of what everyone else has been saying, ZMI IS profitable. At 85 I was getting around 200k an hour profit with 55k exp. You can find a great zmi guide on youtube by searched Phoenix Odin pro zmi.
  12. 1. Yes, for sure. It is ALWAYS worth it to bring super sets to every task. 2. As others said, just block what you hate. Steels are not too good without super antifire and ZS though 3.when I was 98, I was averaging about 30k/hour due to more experience. At lower levels (80ish) it was about 20k or so. Mind you, this is using cannon.
  13. Does anyone know if this method goes beyond 120k/hour with turmoil and extremes? I'm just wondering, i won't stray from slaying. Great guide though.
  14. Super attacks and strengths are worth it 100% of the time. Considering that your stats are raised by 19 each, It is a massive difference that greatly affects the speed of slayer. Use them before even considering prayer of course.
  15. December 2001. My recovery questions were last set in 2005, lol
  16. Hi, I'm looking for a clan since the other ones I've tried have fallen apart. I'm willing to contribute the clan and to particape actively, even moreso after I finish 99 slayer. Check out my signature for my stats, I hope I can be of some use :)
  17. With your stats you could even try rushing. I'm sure you know how to get to Jad effectively by now, so to rush all you need is: Your best potions (so super atk and str) Claws or dds Whip Or Gs And of course, vengeance. With my stats, no vengeance, and dds I managed to get Jad down to about 50(500) hp and died due to a bad hit. I'm sure if you used vengeance you could beat him with this method.
  18. Firemaking. At the time it was my favorite skill so I thought why not. After getting other 99s I realize how hard firemaking can actually be if you use the lower level logs.
