  1. Most people I talk to think the weapons are a far higher priority, and the necklace too. Then maybe the shield. If you'll be GWDing, it'll be mostly likely as a damager not a tank, given your herb and future prayer. If I were you I'd go for CLS.
  2. Sadly, the expected value of doing a boss is many times higher than any constant monster. It would be great if you could get a constant 2-3m/h killing monsters, but you can't. (At least not without a yak at DKs.) I know you're saying the game rewards risk taking. That's my point, that I really wish it didn't (to such an extreme extent), and think it's harmful to the divide between rich and poor.
  3. Teaks and mahogs are mostly for the super rich. Oaks are quite fast already, if construction is your thing.
  4. Chaos gauntlets and fire bolt is quite cheap. Quite slow too.
  5. I would say, weigh the ups and downs yourself. Each of the following may or may not matter to you. 1. Getting to extremes is easier and cheaper than getting to turmoil, if you're willing to stew. 2. Using turmoil is easier than using extremes, especially since you may spend hours stewing for extremes. 3. Extremes come with spec rest and super antifire. 4. Extremes will eventually get you to extreme ranging and then overloads. 5. Turmoil comes with soul split. 6. To get the most out of turmoil in camping lesser monsters, you need to use ppots. Personally, I did prayer first. I actually wish I did herb instead because super antifires are quite convenient.
  6. You take more from kree and less from the melee minion. KC on avians is also easier. It was my old setup. These days, with summoning so prevalent, it's probably outdated.

You can't consistently solo all three kings. Tanking sup on entry is one thing. Tanking him every kill will wear you down too quickly. You can't expect to finish sup consistently before another king (in particular prime) respawns. The best you could do would be solo rex/prime using telegrab for prime's drops. Even then, have a friend let you into the lair so you can avoid tanking sup even once.

It comes with soul split, too. Great healing source in many settings.

Don't use big purple letters. People won't take you seriously. What you ran into was a revenant, designed to be a replacement and sort of doppelganger for player killers from the old wilderness. They're especially powerful monsters using all forms of combat, able to teleblock and immobilize, and will eat to heal themselves when they take damage. (Just like a player killer but dumber, really.) If you want to fight one, do like you would fight another player. The easier way is just to run fast and teleport if you can. It helps a lot to use dragonhide armor so that you're not as easily tele blocked. Since green dragons are in relatively low level wilderness, just teleport on sight of a revenant your level.
  10. Bring two maxed friends to a theme world at a non peak time. Have one barrage and the other score. This isn't nearly as effective as before themed worlds, but it still works.
  11. Some years ago, the best boss monsters to hunt were the Dagganoth Kings (and maybe the Kalphite Queen). Back then being a DKer (or KQer) pretty much meant you were an elite player. They had some nice rare drops, but the rates were still quite reasonable. That is, they tended to be pretty consistent. Spend a week at DKs and you were almost guaranteed an amount of axes, rings, and other such drops. As far as wealth went among monster hunters, it was largely a matter of time and dedication. These bosses averaged a nice x gp per hour, but more importantly, if you spent so much as ten or twenty hours, you were pretty much going to come out with your expected value of return. Enter the God Wars Dungeon. GWD introduced some new high tier drops, much rarer in terms of time to obtain. In particular, hilts were not only quite rare, but they came from a difficult to kill boss. At the time, being able to solo even a few kills off the boss was an accomplishment. This began a stream of wealth disparities. Someone who soloed for example an Armadyl hilt would be up over a hundred million gp, quite a large sum at the time. By sheer luck and potentially very little time invested, they were already ahead of a DKer who had been going consistently and building up wealth. Did GWD have a higher average payoff than DKs? Maybe, but that's almost besides the point. The point is that person A who spent a week at GWD and person B who did the same could be vastly differently off at the end. One could well have had a set of party hats while the other was still scrounging up gear. Corp is the unfortunately progression of this trend. An increasingly more difficult boss, taking increasingly longer to kill, with increasingly rarer odds of dropping something increasingly more powerful. To get a Divine or Elysian today is the epitome of luck based success. Now don't get me wrong, someone on a pro corp team invested a ton of their time and effort into getting there. Certainly they deserve some benefit. However, I believe it was a terrible mistake to purposely widen the gap between someone who had lucked out on a sigil compared to someone who didn't. I don't believe it's reasonable to talk about odds or expected value so much any more. What's the 95% confidence interval for getting an Elysian/Divine off corp? Something like a year? I think it would have been much better to have new bosses drop something that while good, is not exceedingly overpowerful nor too uncommon. Make it something players want, but not an absolute end all be all. Spread out the drops and give players something for their effort most of the time, rather than an extremely large lump sum very very rarely. Now, I suspect I know why Jagex did this. It is important to them to maintain certain items at a very high perceived value to compete with and hopefully keep down holiday rares. Honestly, if GWD hadn't come out, and corp hadn't come out, who knows where the rares would be by now. At the same time, who is it that is usually willing to pay for a party hat these days besides merchants and guys who luck out at corp? To those who've received a sigil, congratulations on your work and your luck as well. I only wish it didn't have to include the luck.

I heard the necklace doesn't work well with every other target except your primary. Anyways, suppose you do a good job barraging, get a consistent 8 lobs a cast for an average hit of 16. 52 base xp + 8 targets * 16 hp damage * 2 xp = 308 xp You need 1.34m magic xp for 99. 1.34m xp / 308 xp = 4351 casts That doesn't seem too off. I remember I did a level somewhere in the mid 90s using burst and 150-200 xp a cast sounded about right for that.
  13. Black dragons are terrible exp given the time to safespot them and how much you miss, not to mention you'll need to bank if you want to get a decent return. If you want to do dragons to get prayer as a side benefit, try blues since they have a good safespot, lowish defense, and are usually empty. For good exp, fight something with low defense but high hp using knives. Yaks would be nice if they weren't so crowded.
  14. Northeast spot has a far easier time trapping stray demons.
  15. I can't find a guide, but the northeast spot is a lot more consistent, personally.
  16. What's a specific amount you have available / are willing to spend?
  17. I seem to recall Damis (the shadow guy) being the only tough fight with flat 70s, and that was because he drained pray. Honestly, just go in and walk over them. You have the stats.

Fury is the best amulet in the game, but only marginally better than a glory. There are probably other things you should worry about buying first, that either cost less or give more benefit.
  19. Huh? You can get lunars on tabs? How?
  20. If you want to end on 40 def, don't train it at all. Dragon slayer gets you 1-30something. Rune/zerker/etc pures are recommend to quest almost all their def exp to get the best available rewards.
  21. Zephy replied to Slaykan's topic in Help and Advice
It lowers the chance of getting horribly burnt by dragonfire, somewhat. Still quite a bad idea, though. I'm not entirely sure on this, but I do remember it working once.
  22. Maybe not max, but I certainly need improved melee. 85 slayer would be nice too. I dunno really.
  23. Regular energy potions would get you there for less. They're low exp but only 18.65 gp/xp buying unfinished potions. They have the advantage of not relying on being able to sell the products. They're also lower exp than your other options. 84 is really enough if you don't care about extreme defense. Moreover, 84 unlocks the lower untradeable potions that you will probably want as well, and making those will get you some exp.
  24. XD I have about 30k reg energy potions. Then maybe another 5k whatevers. I won't be able to play that much either. Ironically, I might be even less able to play during summer break. Anyway, while I may well beat you to herb+pray, I have a ton of melee left to do too. You have quite the melee head start.
  25. I'm very confused about stat decays. I've heard conflicting stories about whether they decay on your logged in clock or a global game clock.
