  1. This is what I'm doing right now. Clean Harralanders and chocolate dust buy immediately for med. Granted, they are a bit slower than other pots, but ranarr is already climbing back up and other options are significantly more expensive. Plus, unlike other pots where you need to sell the product to buy more supplies, energy pots have almost no resale value, so you don't have to worry about selling them. Personally I buy harralander unfinished potions. You have to pay an extra gp or two per exp, but you save like 30-40% of the time depending on your banking speed.
  2. I forget the exact method, but if you're just looking to clear up that bank slot, dying with the serums 28 at a time is faster.
  3. This. Range is annoyingly impractical in dungeoneering. Aside from being underpowered as far as I can tell, you have to retrieve your own arrows from the ground. Trying to range will just slow you down. Range has certain merits against certain bosses, but for that just fletch a longbow on the fly. Also, hood is probably overpowered, especially while rushing. ... I personally got a rapier yesterday. I am enjoying it very much in both training and safe pvp. Longsword or maul would be more impressive/devastating hits, but also far more limited in their useful scope. I've beaten all the longsword users who've flamed me so far, for a small sample, both in safe pvp (clan wars) and monster hunting (crashing kbd).
  4. You'd do fine. The effects of random chance far outweigh stat differences at your level. Someone 99/99/85 or so would have an advantage in theory, but just how much is probably less than significant. Your max hits will be a few hp lower but that doesn't significantly affect your finishing ability. Get 94 magic base, for barrage when you're using it, or vengeance otherwise. Both really help you get kills. Most I've talked to say chaotic crossbow is severely underpowered compared to other chaotics, and is only a marginal improvement over rune. It doesn't give any more damage, and the accuracy is minor and situational. You wouldn't want to risk it in pvp or protect it in +1, too much opportunity cost and not enough benefit. Melee (dds or claws in +1) will probably be your finisher. It hits a lot better than range with piety vs just eagle eye. If you wanted to be a range tank, you've already raised melee too far, and you'd get outclassed by meleers. Proper range tanks have atk/str in the 70s or 80s. Use range to weaken and dds for a ko. Mixing in barrage can give you the upper hand through immobilization. Gear depends a lot whether you're looking to tribrid with barrage or hybrid with venge. P.S. I suck at PKing according to everyone I've ever fought, as well as a lot of people I've talked to. But I get kills occasionally, so that I don't mind their words too much. Honestly, RS pking is all luck, if you ask me.
  5. Regular energy potions are down to 18gp/xp from their usual 20-21. They're slower than what most people do, but I find they're worth the savings.
  6. This is totally wrong. Don't do this. The ideal setup (and the one pros like Fredmcgarry use) is: 1-25 C1-C4 5:1 small 26-35 C6 5:5 large I'm 88 DG. This assumes you have a reliable team on demand. Which, indeed, the pros do, but you may not. If you need to resort to using w117, then suddenly larges become a lot less attractive. A w117 team takes an hour and something to finish a large, and that's assuming you don't get some asshat who ragequits or some other form of intolerable idiot. Factoring in everything, you're looking at one floor completed per 1.5 hours. In that case, it becomes more important to get more exp out of your lower floors and do fewer larges. Then you may need to start doing some of your medium-high floors as c6, and some even as meds, and do relatively fewer larges. Doing 1-20 c1 small and 21-35 c6 med, soloing completely, matches or beats w117 in terms of exp. Only on a good day can I get w117 to match. Usually solo is better for me.
  7. Tell is if you're f2p or p2p. Approximate stats too.
  8. 1. Dragonhide. The absolute bonuses to accuracy from it is better than the percentage from void. Damage is less of an issue when accuracy is so poor. 2. Archer's ring is such a small boost. Your money may be better spent elsewhere. 3. Rapid. Accurate is only slightly more so and one speed slower. 4. Very. Always pot. For everything. There are very few exceptions to this rule. BIG IMPORTANT POINT: I'm not sure why you're ranging black dragons. If it's not for slayer, let me say this, STOP NOW AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE. Black dragons have maybe the highest defense of anything in this game, and for almost no reason is it efficient to fight them. Especially not at your levels. Whatever you're looking for, surely there are better sources.
  9. 30k/hour overall, roughly small c1 early floors for prestige runes solo med for middle floors large in w117 for highest floors assuming prestige 35 (aka level 70+) You can definitely do better with good teammates. But w117 is not the place for that.
  10. The tools last a set amount of charge. The rate that this charge decays is constant for any skill but differs between skills. For any particular skill, there's an amount of exp you get per tool. If your tool is volatile, resetting it also lowers this charge.
  11. I know some people prefer to EP on PVP worlds in seemingly obscure places. Can you recommend some such places to hunt EPers please?
  12. Add me and maybe I can show you. You need one person to help you get past the initial doors. Having a person help you enter the lair itself saves you from having to tribrid on entry. It's really not hard.
  13. Spoken like a true elitist. Although, from the perspective of said maxed folks, this really is true. Lower leveled guys can do just fine, especially with the dungeon scaled to them. Good luck getting a team based on that idea though.
  14. I tried solo meds the other day, then duo with a clanmate. Both beat w117 larges for xp/h on average, even accounting for increased need to prestige rush. Which is only to say, the average w117 team sucks incomparably. A good team knocks the socks off solo any day, but finding one is hard if you're not max everything with 80+ dunge. I agree with c1 rush for first some floors. Really it depends who you ask. I was doing mid 20s for meds and getting pretty decent exp. Depending on how well you do your c1 prestige rushes, it may tip the favor one way or another as to when you stop rushing, when you switch over to meds, etc etc. When to exit and reset complexity is debatable. I've had good personal experience with going c1-c4 and then reset. I stay in p2p to get good use out of my binds, for convenience. The true optimizers may disagree, but I doubt it's a huge difference. Personally, right now my plan is: c1 rush to around 20, med solo/duo up to around 30, w117 up to 35. This is of course flexible, and I'm happy to take other floors if I can get a good large with clanmates, or do more solos if I can't find teams, or rush to prestige earlier if I can expect larges later in return for resetting. Realistically, it's worth losing even a 30s floor to c1 rush if it gets you onto a large with good teammates, assuming you don't already have a reliable dunge clan on demand. When a dungeon starts, I also buy a bowstring and fishing equipment. At the cost of some extra seconds in the dungeon, I have far fewer food worries and can deal with certain bosses better. I consider it a time/convenience tradeoff, as well as being prepared for the occasional fishing puzzle. Somewhere between 15-20 minutes is normal for my meds too. Given that w117 is taking me 1.5 hours on average for a large, I'm actually getting comparable exp soloing lower floors. Don't be afraid to leave rooms for speed. Conversely, don't be afraid to kill stuff for free level mod if it's easy. The majority of exp is still from uncovering the map.
  15. 1. You have to pray the whole time. The damage you take isn't that much however. Depending on your internet connection and switching ability, you might last anywhere between 4-10 pray pots a trip using a titan. 2. One titan summoned. No pouches extra. It's hard to stay longer than a pouch. Might want to start with a tort of sharks, then switch out to titan. 3. Besides which, the bank trip is under five minutes. 4. Diamonds don't help much. TDs are relatively low defense. Broads, rune, xbow, or hand cannon are most commonly used. 5. Use the north eastern spot. Even if you only plan to kill one spawn. The big rock and surroundings form the most consistent obstacle. You just need to trap the demons you're not currently fighting. 6. There were historical reason to use a halberd. They no longer apply. Use a whip or godsword or something. Oh, and add me. I may want to duo after next week. Working on chaotic rapier first.
  16. I don't have access to barrage yet anyways. I was just giving my usual rant against the ancients+salamander crowd. My salamander does fine on its own, thanks. Pretty sure this can't happen. May have just been an odd configuration and confusion. I heard horrors were 500-600k/hr including masks at 1.6 or something. Barrows can hit 1m+/hr with fast kills and good running.
  17. Barrows should be faster if you're efficient. Use guthan's and do like five chests a run. Personally, I prefer to tank hits, since each barrage is 2.something k and at that point you may as well just use pray pots. Of course, praying everything is pretty efficient too, even with the drain rate and the cost.
  18. It's probably one of the most significant/useful buyable stats, especially at its price range. Prices these days are insane. If you have something that needs the gp, maybe it can wait. But still, by far one of the best 10m investments you'll ever make. Also, consider different bone types. Big bones beat dragon at even somewhat high incomes.
  19. If I'm going to be rushing 1-20something small, should I use C1 or C5? How does C1 speed things up, and by how much? Is it worth the exp loss? Thanks.
  20. You can't. It's a level-oriented world, and you have to pay for exp. If you buy both nats and items, you'll end up with a net loss. Some items alch for more than they cost. You lose less than the cost of a nat. If you were to rc your own nats, you would only lose the cost of ess. Then you might come out ahead. (...at the opportunity cost of time spent rcing, of course...) EDIT: Ok, so... there are some very obscure examples of high value items that have since fallen to alch value on the GE. If you get one of these near min, it alches for profit even if you buy nats. This includes things like dragon meds and godsword shards, depending on the market. Lots of alchers compete for them, and they definitely can't be bought in bulk.
  21. Bagged plants are really fast. They're also really expensive. Since they have no farming requirement, they're very good at extremely low levels.
  22. 1. When you reset, your current progress is set to 0. Your previous progress is set to your old current progress. Prestige is only given for floors you have not yet raided in your current run, and it is based on the greater of your current or previous progress. 2. You should reset when you have no floors left to do on the current run, that is, every floor has a check mark in the selector. Right now, go do 19 then 20 first. 3. Well, you'd still get prestige from your old progress. But, to get more, you need your current progress to exceed it, which comes from unlocking new floors as well as completing old ones. Just to be clear. After you reset, you'll still get prestige calculated off the 20, until such a time as you'd get greater prestige from your current progress in your next run.
  23. For someone with prestige 35... How long would it take to solo 1-25 small and 26-35 med? How much xp is that total? What about 1-25 solo small, and 26-35 as 5-5 group large.
  24. How long does it take to complete a solo med high floor? How much exp is it? Same questions for team large. Is it possibly worth soloing med for high floors? What about, at times when I've only got high floors left and can't get a team?
  25. You get the prestige bonus for any floor you have not raided since your last progress reset. The bonus depends on the greater of how many unique floors you raided before, or how many you raided since resetting.
