Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
hey does anyone know when the Kingdom Keepers mini-skill is coming out? it looks like a great addition to dungeoneering.

The death of dungeoneering?
I've learned it's better to just drop a gatestone at base or outside the boss room and going in unprepared and usually beating him, than by wasting time by being overprepared. though, it's more fun to prepare and overkill the boss

Castle Wars Improvements - Faithful Shield
Instead of them saying "slows the drain rate of prayers," couldn't they have just given it a prayer bonus since it's basically the same effect as a proselyte helm or a god mitre?

Maging mithril dragons
As a frame of reference, it takes on average about 30 fire surges to kill them.

Comparative Profits
Claws are about 1 in 250... at the rarest, 1 in 300. If you kill 50/h, that's about 6 hours per claw, or 5M gp/hour. Right?

Well after chopping ivy from 75-88 wc, fletching from 76-88, and fishing from 70-80 while AFK, I've levelled up my AFK skill to include FoG too! beaten pikmin 1 & 2 and kingdom hearts 1 & 2 while AFK'ing on RS so far lol recharging robes in F2P is so easy... very impressive-- I can't even fathom going from 69-75, I hate rc so much. If its profits weren't completely overshadowed by boss-hunting, I'd enjoy it more :(

Defense xp: AZs or slayer
Train it to 94-- at that point, you'll get an extra def lvl from super def pots. It's also the last lvl that you get a bigger boost from super pots (same applies for att/str)
-
Defense xp: AZs or slayer
don't get 99 defence. My old account was a maxed-out tank.... fights got harder once I went from 94 to 99 defence. The extra combat levels aren't worth it. Your opponents' increased offense will be more potent than your increased defence.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
On that note, if you want to be better at socializing or developing your persona, a good way to do it is to constantly hang out w/ people who have the qualities you desire. They'll start rubbing off on you. For example, I met my childhood best friend in 2nd grade and he always had a great sense of humor. I never had much of one until I started hanging out with him, and after a while I was always joking around and making people laugh. Similarly, most of my friends have unique senses of humor which crack me up-- I've noticed that I have a tendency to adopt some of their comedic style as my own after a while. I never change my comedic style to theirs completely-- rather I always keep my own but add a little bit of theirs to my own. So after all the friends I've made, I've learned a wide variety of comedy styles that I use to make people laugh. Some people find certain things hilarious while other people don't. It's really easy for me to tell what'll make anybody laugh nowadays, and that ability has all mostly come from hanging out with my hilarious friends. Similarly, if you wanna be more confident or outgoing, start hanging out with people you know who are really confident and/or outgoing. This is probably one of the main reasons why joining my fraternity was the greatest decision of my life-- instantly making 70 new friends whom I've learned so much from. I've improved just about every aspect of my life from hanging out with all of them. It's important to note, though, that I've never really tried to emulate any of my friends-- their personalities just rub off on me and I start acting slightly more like they do when I hang out with them unintentionally. So if you've got a friend who's a [kitty]-magnet, don't try and act like him and do everything he does or say everything he says-- just hang out with him a lot and it'll just automatically internalize. Semi-relevant anecdote: One of my closest friends I've made at college is a natural ladies-man. The funny thing is, we'll be eating dinner somewhere and a hot waitress will serve us, and he can say ANYTHING he wants to her-- he can say "You have beautiful eyes" (he never says that btw) or "What the [bleep] is wrong with your face" (that wouldn't be unusual...) and regardless of what he says, the girl will always melt and find him irresistible. When I first met him, I had no clue how he could pull off the things he did, so of course I asked a girlfriend of mine what she thought about him. She said "he has a very genuine smile." --apparently that's all you need to say whatever the [bleep] you want haha. Anyways, I've known him for two years now and so his personality has rubbed off on me a little. If I want, I can talk to a girl the same way he does and get a similar response. The main reason why he's so charming is because he's himself. If I had tried doing what he does two years ago before I met him, I'd probably get slapped because it would look awkward since I'm not the kind of person to say such things (and that's obvious to girls). Like I said, though-- now that I've hung out with him so much, things have become much different. . . Hope my incoherent rambling was informative, lol.

smuggling extreme mage pots out of dg = 300 * (1 + 0.21 + 0.20 + 0.78) =657 max hit which you can use in pvp, using bug abuse though so its not as fun ;o The mage pots in dung don't have the same magic damage multiplier as normal pots... they barely increase your damage They do outside, I've seen pics of 600+ and ingame 500+ but I refuse to post them as they incriminate the person doing it, who I know bug abuse sure is popular these days

Tank Maging
Edit-- just saw that you said you wanted a SAFE setup. Just choose the optimum equipment options listed below. It depends on if you're using this for safe or dangerous PvP, so I'll offer alternatives. Bolded is what I prefer to use My tank mage setup for PvP: Verac helm > torag helm Stream necklace > phoenix necklace (if dangerous) > fury/glory/plain magic Ahrim top (zuriels isn't worth it imo) Ahrim bottom Arcane spirit shield > Blessed spirit shield > dragon sq shield (cheap) > granite shield (range def) Zuriel staff > staff of light (staff of light doesn't protect over much, and its spec isn't as useful as it would seem. miasmics is like a longer-lasting sol effect but works on rangers too) Infinity boots > mystic God cape > soul wars cape seers ring (i) > seers ring > recoil barrows gloves Anyways... a while ago, I sparred against a friend of mine about five times in the duel arena. His stats: 99 hp, 99 defence, 99 range, 99 magic, 99 prayer my stats: 98 hp, 87 defence, 99 range, 99 magic, 70 prayer he was using ranged only, I was using mage only. I won every fight. Also, he summoned a wolpentinger so he had an extra +7 magic levels, plus the 5% extra mage def from the familiar. and FURTHERMORE, he was using protect from mage the WHOLE fight, and I NEVER used protect from range, LOL! I began using that setup once I got 70 defence, my stats at the time were about: 90 hp, 70 defence, 99 range, 94 magic, 70 prayer, 1 summoning. I tested it out at the duel tournaments and got all of my ranks [score is 2077] from there, at about 94 combat. all of my opponents were at least lvl 130+. it is extremely effective, assuming you know how and when to use the proper spells and combat tactics ;)

POLL: Have you ever submitted an idea for a Runescape update to Jagex?
A lot of my J-Mod friends kept telling me about this one guy who kept bugging them so I suggested a lot of updates to them like armor with strength-boosts to piss the guy off and then they started releasing stuff like that. It was cool. Here's a few to be on the lookout for what aren't released yet. New quests. New armor and weapons. New dungeoneering updates. New improvements to older skills.

Rune crossbow, really the best?
I did an experiment like this back when GWD was first released, cuz I wanted to see the quickest way to kill aviansies. Rune knives are the quickest XP in any normal range-training situation (meaning, the target monster has decently low range def). Dragon darts and rune darts were a close 2nd and 3rd. Chins were still the most efficient way to train ranged though

jungle strykewyrms
My precious RSOF Zarfot guide hasn't been updated in a while. In a paragraph or less, someone give me a setup to kill them with. I've got 99 range though I'd prefer to melee them for XP.

The Degradation of PK Videos & Amore
I quit watching PK vids after people started over-editing their footage with programs like Sony Vegas. If you have to include extra effects, chances are your footage isn't very exciting to begin with. If I want to see cool special effects, I'll go watch Avatar 3D. There's nothing new or exciting to see in any PK vids nowadays, they're all just showing off lucky hits, rather than skill. It's more fun to watch people pick fights with stronger opponents than to bully weaker ones. If I ever got around to making a PK vid, I'd only include footage of me fighting people much stronger than me, or me alone against groups of people. Anyone ever heard of Howatt3431? I watched like the first minute of those vids then X'd them out >_> Too many effects or nothing new/exciting for me :\ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ho5C7p4iiM fun watching him take on dishonorable teams by himself and win always enjoyed that vid-- I used to hop from world to world, looking for RC pkers to kill :D got consecutive kills w/o banking-- never used item protect either, he was that confident haha

Soloing Tormented Demons.
I started doing TDs at like 80 att/str/def, 99 range. Used welfare gear, you should be fine.

Monster Aggressiveness Timer
Just wondering if monsters stay aggressive longer or shorter depending on the world population. Like, would monsters stay aggressive for the longest or shortest time in a full world? Or is there no relationship?

FINALLY finished my goal of 80 fishing for clayland: got my first big swordfish within the first 15 minutes of starting my goal at level 72. didn't get my second big swordfish until level 79. went to shilo sometimes, but mostly just used clay harpoons at the fishing guild with swordfish gloves. used to be 100k xp/hour but now it's only about 60k. either way it's not very efficient, but I'd rather be inefficient and have fun playing my favorite minigame (stealing creation) than spend more time fishing. collected my MTK afterward-- hadn't collected in months:
