  1. Mage set is underrated imo- I use it a lot and once forgot the gloves, so that I didnt recieve the magic bonus.- i hitted about half the time compared to void (vs people in max mage). So you compared voids effectiveness to using void amour without the set bonus's effectiveness.... :wall: It is crap.
  2. Herbs last time I checked.
  3. Or get a group of 5 people and have a mild amount of fun C6 rushing your low floors like I did for fun. Avg of 3 min a floor, 2.5 k exp per at my prestige = 50 k exp/hr
  4. Just sold mine for 15.8.....we'rebestfriendsnow?kthnxbai.
  5. Really? this thread is from july....
  6. Play WoW. Trololololol Seriously though, go get into dungeoneering. Its lots of fun once you get the hang of it and a good group of people to go with.
  7. The spear is useless, join dungsmith clan chat and they will make you your prom 2h.
  8. Jadinkos (a mix of common and draconic) max at 250 k/hr with an arctic bear, 99 hunter, and zamorak favor potions. Black warlocks are better if you highly value agility exp, jadinkos are better exp/hr and the herb seeds are invaluable. Black warlocks are I believe 150 k exp/hr but I could be wrong.
  9. Its better to c6 med your last 5.
  10. If there's anything I can do to help let me know and Ill try to do what I can.
  11. Void is better on high defense monsters, its great at miths cuz you pray melee and it has decent magic defense. Max str bonus is good for slayer because of the loss of a helm and is about even (within 2 k exp/hr) on powertraining (aka low defense) monsters. For miths definitely use elite void.
  12. What is your question? The topic title leaves a lot to the imagination and the OP doesn't help. If you're asking if you should the answer is yes. If you're asking how many ppots you should bring there has already been a wealth of answers given about it. If you're asking about how good your set up is then the answer is upgrade to a berserker ring, a firecape/SWcape/ardy cape. For the cape if you're going to be using bandos and want to maintain optimal prayer bonus use SW cape. If you're sticking with prossy/veracs go with fire cape for sure. Use an ardy at places where you need the stab and prayer bonus.
  13. Stick to sallys/penguins til 70. After that you should only be hunting in Herblore Habitat.
  14. Yep, that's general best plan. Penguins when you get the level are on par, if not a little better, than red sallys.
  15. So you're saying that you can get a return on investing in a skill, but denying that it's possible for that same investment to be devalued? LOL okay. Not in the way that items are devalued. You will only get more added to a skill. If I get 99 mining right now and quit and a year from now a new training method comes out at level 90 that halves the time to 99 I will have access to it without having to grind up to it. If you feel like new exp/hr methods are a devalue of a skill you trained that's fine, its just what I define as devalued. I got 99 hunter when red chins were the fastest. Was I mad when barehanded butterflies/jadinkos came out? Nope, because I had the option to go do them and get those rewards right away. Investment into 99 hunter was totally worth it, had farming jujus at day 1.
  16. It is faster to drop than bank, with banking expect 30-35 k exp/hr. Obviously use varrock armour for the 10% chance of an extra ore (exp included) and if you haven't mined your shooting star do that as well. Lastly if you have a master penance horn its worth using it.
  17. Don't grow your own ranarrs. Opportunity cost isn't worth it. Farming snaps/torstol/lantadyme would provide you with enough money for far more prayer potions than the ranarrs your farm would give you. Ranarr herbs are what 6 k each? So if I farm snaps instead at 12 k each I can then sell them and get more than double the number of prayer potions you did from farming your own ranarrs, due to the finished ppot being less than the ranarr herb itself. OT: Use piety as often as you can. The only places where it may not be worth it is when your cannon is doing a significant amount of damage (~65% of your total or higher) and even then Id say still use piety.
  18. yeah i'm pretty sure, the right combination of sub draconic jadinkos (like aquatic + common or something) will still net you better xp/hour than red sally. You are correct sir.
  19. This is wrong. There is no reason to train hunter on anything but jadinkos after 70 unless you value agility exp at an obsenely high level and want to barehand butterflies as a result. The herb seeds are too valuable to waste getting exp anywhere else. Im in the process of researching how much herblore/farming exp you will get from leveling hunter completely at HH but its substancial enough at my early estimates that any other training options are a waste. On top of that the exp at commons at your level is on par with red sallys if you're doing it correctly. If you just want 74 you can boost to it with the ooglag spa. Otherwise level on commons to get seeds. Follow the HH guide in the general guides of these forums for whatever else you need to know.
  20. Yes but that doesn't devalue the bonuses you get from using them. And for the people who invested in herblore before extremes were released they got a huge return on that investment. Same as the people who trained prayer before curses were released. People with woodcutting to 68 got to use ivy right away instead of grinding to it like I had to because I hated woodcutting. People with 77 mining didn't have to wait to do con coal at LRC like I have to because I still hate grinding that skill. I could go on and on.
  21. What are you talking about? Of course they do... Last time I checked the boost you get to combat from extremes/turmoil doesn't diminish relative to gp over time. Neither does your ability to do the entire beacon network at 92 firemaking.
  22. Fix'd Who are you talking to? And no one said that he shouldn't get a whip if he wanted to train attack or defense. I said its not worth training them until after he gets 99 str because strength is the only thing that contributes to your exp/hr after you hit a certain point of accuracy. That point is reached on any monster you should train on if your gear/prayers are correct.
  23. Which would become ~150 k an hour once he gets to snaps with jujus and a scroll of life....unless you can't get magic secatures on a 3 skiller? If you haven't finished rune mysteries you can use the drop trick to harvest air talismans. Pretty sure there are some daily shops you can visit for profit as well, feathers for sure will make 6 k into 13 k every day. Start doing hunter (you'll need to eventually) and hunt regular chins. Run oak logs to the saw mill and resell the planks. That's all I can think of...im sleepy :/
  24. Just do blues, nothing else will come close to that gp/hr, maybe cannoning black dragons but you lack a yak and chaotic rapier. They have the benefit of ok effigies though.
  25. Depends on how highly you value slayer exp :P Do them, they're a different monster to fight and decent exp, great charms, and small profit. Karils, fury, fsh, dragon boots, berserker ring, SW cape/Fire Cape, Saradomin Sword, barrows gloves. A zammy spear is a slightly worse alternative weapon. Bring a bunyip, pray range and piety. You'll want 1-2 emergancy sharks, prayer potions, and swallow whole scrolls. I personally bring a placeholder for crimson charms/valuable stackable drops so I don't have to juggle inv that much and I don't mind banking midtask.
