Spent the last two days playing Battlefield Hardline. It's pretty much the only thing i can do now that really takes my mind off the bullshit that's going on around me. Surprisingly i've been having the best few games of my life.

I don't really know. Pretty much anything and everything is a taboo here. And one thing i can specifically remember is that anything containing codeine isn't legal. Not sure why. Remember hearing a story about a year ago of this British guy who went to pick up medication that was mailed to him, at the hospital. When he asked for his package he got arrested and spent some time in jail (i think it was a month) because the medication he was to pick up contained codeine. I also don't think you can get aspirin here. But they weren't this drastic with things in the past. From what i've heard this is a new thing. They pretty much decided that if you test positive for drugs they just deport you. If you're caught selling they'll keep you around. Torture you a bit till you give them enough names, then let you go. Just when you think they forgot about you they'll repeat the process. When you've got nothing more to say, they deport you (after some jail time of course). In the past if you tested positive i think you just spent a few days in jail, or something. Wasn't nearly this drastic.

This entire experience was a massive eye opener to me though. One of the girls contacted me earlier. She actually had to spend a night in a holding cell too. She said the things she saw there shocked her. It disgusted me having to hear this. She said that one of the women there gets beaten by her husband. One night the cops came from a domestic disturbance call and took both of them, and their two children to jail. The husband when to the men's prison and she and the kids went to the women's prison. Yes, you did read correctly. She was sitting there with her 2 and 4 year olds. If i remember correctly my friend said they had been there for 4 months now. Or two week. Can't remember. But [bleep]ing children? Another girl from i think Thailand has been in there for a year. 2 years ago she met a guy from Qatar while he was away on holiday in Thailand. They fell in love, he asked her to move here with her. They lived together for a year when one day the cops stormed into their apartment, to catch him smoking weed, with a good amount of product laying around as well. She's been in jail for a year now, hasn't heard anything from him. Doesn't know if he's still in jail himself. Still waiting for him. Then there was the lady that got [bleep]ed over by her employer. Basically this women was working for a family, as a maid. For those unfamiliar with how things work here, you need to be sponsored by someone (either direct family or an employer) to work and/or live here. Her employer was her sponsor. He was also one of those people who kept her passport, to make sure she doesn't run away (or whatever). One day they had to go to the police station for whatever reason. He gave her passport over to the police officer, and next thing she's in cuffs and on her way downtown. Apparently her residence permit expired 6 months ago. Not sure how long she's been in there for. Oh, to top things off, there's no water there. You have to buy water, and you can only buy water in the mornings when they send someone to go buy it. Hooray for human rights. She told me that she didn't see any white people there. All of the women were either arab, indian (which includes pakistani, srilankan, etc.), filipino, asian, etc. When her dad came to bail her out, while they were doing the paperwork, he said something along the lines of "Your british friend won't go through all this trouble. She'll just sign a few papers and get on a plane". Ever since i started studying to be a pilot my dream was to work for Qatar Airways. Obviously that dream will never be a reality now, but perhaps it's for the best. As much as i hated admitting this in the past, this country will never change. It's funny how Qatar is always in competition with Dubai. Sometimes they out-do Dubai, but the one thing they'll never be able to out-do is basic human rights.

So this week my life changed quite a bit. I don't know if anyone can remember, or if anyone even read it, but round about New Years i posted about being part of a drug raid at a party. Well... it's 6 months later and that even has come back to take care of unfinished business. Apparently everyone's urine tests came back positive. Everyone. I pretty much expected that i would test positive as i was sitting in one of the rooms when they hot-boxed it. Despite my opinion about using drugs in this country, i decided to let it go that night because it was NYE. Yeah... the one night i decide to let it go. Anyway, so earlier this week one of the guys from that night had an accident (nothing major, really just scraped some pain off the car) and had to go to the police office to report it. Everything was handled right there and then, but the next day he got a phone call from the police saying he had to come back to give them some other information. When he got there he was pretty much taken away by the DEA immediately. He spent the night in a holding cell. Next day he was told to buy himself a ticket home. He left the country yesterday (deported). Tonight i heard that 3 more people suddenly left the country during the past week. I handed in my resignation today. I was still under probation so luckily there's no need to give them any sort of notice. Took care of a few personal matters. And now all i have to do is explain this shitstorm to my parents.
  7. I found TW2 to be kind of clunky in regards to the inventory, I just for some reason could never get anything to work so I barely played it. What can you tell me about this For whatever reason i'm finding it hard to remember what TW2's inventory was like. But TW3's inventory is really easy to navigate, really easy to use. New items will always be first in their respective categories. There's different inventory "pages" for different types of items. I'd say it's probably similar to Dark Souls 2 in a way, but with less categories.

hopefully a lion doesn't kill youNah man Lions don't bother pedestrians. They've been tamed pretty well. Was referring to thishttp://www.cnn.com/2015/06/01/africa/south-africa-lion-attack/ Lmao i stopped the video when she said American female tourist. That's all i needed to know why it happened. Seriously though. It's a mother-[bleep]ing LION! Not a little house-cat. Why for the love of sweet bearded baby jesus would you have your windows open. EDIT: Clearly those lions weren't properly tamed.

  10. Finally finished TW3 last night. Apparently i even got the "good" ending, which is nice. Really amazing game. Still have a few side quests/treasure hunts to finish then i'm pretty much done with the game. I did end up failing 3 side quests because i messed up at some point, but it's no big deal. Gotta admit, i was skeptic at first but TW3 turned out to be one of the best RPGs i have played in my life. I don't find that this kind of game has much replay value, but i'm going to do another playthrough of it without a doubt. Aaaand i got Lords of the Fallen today.

Think i might be moving back to South Africa in a week or two. Not too sure how i feel about it, but it beats deportation.
  12. Think i'm about 100 - 110 hours into The Witcher 3 right now, and i think i'm only about 60% done with it. This game is really big. So much to do, so much to explore. Really brings back memories from 3 years ago when i started playing Skyrim. This game is seriously fantastic, despite the one or two bugs i've encountered. I'm going to be sad when i'm done with it, because i don't see it as the type of game that you can really re-play. Also, for some reason, a friend of mine randomly decided to buy me an Xbox One game. Sadly he got me one i already have, so i'll have to go exchange it tomorrow. Really not even sure what to get at this stage.

Still a work in progress i think. Guy that made it doesn't have too much spare time, so it's going really slow at the moment. But i don't think anyone gives two shits what it looks like. The point is that at least we have a means to compete now. Guess your comment should really not come as a surprise though. You've had a stick up your ass about anything console related from the get-go. I have lots of things to respond to that last part, but I'm pretty indifferent. Enjoy talking here alone, I guess. Honestly, i'd rather see this topic die than have a self-righteous prick responding to my posts. Peace.

  15. She's not the one ripping their hearts out though, that's the thing. Well... it's not entirely her doing. Like i already explained, most men can't distinguish between love, lust, infatuation. They [bleep] a girl, they get all emotional about it, they "fall in love". But really, they're just mesmerized by the fact that she's willing to have sex with them without taking payment for it. They "fall in love" with that concept. Not her. It could be any woman offering the same "relationship" and they would feel the exact same feelings. I think the guy who wrote that is trying to justify the behavior of pathetic men. Men who're unable to control their emotions, men who are emotionally immature. If you need to ask you partner what their intentions are, then it's usually a pretty good sign already. And if you're asking questions like these a few days or a week into a relationship... well then you're doing something wrong as well. I find it laughable that this guy's making men out to be victims when we're no more a victim than the average woman.
  16. I think that's where people (like him) get a bit of a misconception of the idea behind why men "lock down" their women. It's not because they want to be monogamous, it's because they hate the idea of sharing (especially a women). Let's for one minute imagine that you come across a woman that tells you she's your, and only yours. She's not going to be intimate with any other guy. Additionally, she doesn't care if you're intimate with other women (or men). The conversation of monogamy will never come up. The man has what he wants. He has a woman that's going to sleep only with him. Now on the other side of the spectrum, let's think of an actual realistic situation. You meet a woman, she says either you're serious/monogamous with her, or you're both allowed to see other people. Most men would choose the former (for reasons already mentioned). So again, it's not the woman's fault (entirely). The man was given an option, and due to his selfishness/unwillingness to "share" he chose to lock himself down by "locking her down". It's really quite simple. It is not men who rule the world, after all. It was also probably a stupid of me to say he was being hypocritical. What i meant to say was that he's making the average man out to be a hypocrite. Again, i'll say that men are just the same. If not worse.
  17. Entire thing sounds kind of... hypocritical. So he's getting all hot and bothered about women who date while a.) having no intention on getting serious with them, and b.) not telling them so from the start? Hmm... Here's my issue with the matter: 1.) Men do the exact same thing. Countless times. 2.) He's blaming women because men are unable to control their emotions? Men have sex with a woman two or three times, and he falls in love with her. Who's fault is that? Hers? Nope. It's his own. He's unable to distinguish between lust, love, and infatuation. I can assure you that he's feeling two of those emotions for sure, but neither of them is love. 3.) He seems rather confused with the concept that a person once attractive can become unattractive. Pretty much just blind stupidity there. I could go on, but i doubt there's much need for that. Point it, men do the same things he's accusing women of doing. Men are sly, men lie, men cheat, men aren't always open and honest. You could take the same 11 questions and pose them to men, and i'm pretty sure you'll get matching answers.

A while ago i suggested we make some leaderboards for console players, but i didn't really have the ability to do so. Luckily, about two or three weeks ago a guy from battle.net (console side of things) decided to make some "unofficial" leaderboards for the console players. A few different learderbaords, all with their own specifications. But basically we just wanted it to resemble the PC leaderboards (more or less). It's coming together nicely now. Good to see that we actually have a few really decent players on the console side. http://www.consolerankings.com/sc-solo.html

  20. So i've pretty much been playing the shit out of The Witcher 3 since i got it. Totally in love with this game right now. I've gotten a hang of the combat and i'm doing much better than i did previously and in TW2. I'm using my Signs a lot more than i did as well. Partly because they seem a lot better in this game (and cooler) and partly because i actually realised how beneficial they can be. As always it's really hard to decide what to spend ability points on, and i'm pretty sure i'm not doing it right, but i'll figure that out eventually.
  21. So The Witcher 3 is treating me really well so far. The game is beautiful, smooth, and extremely fun. The combat feels a lot better than it was in TW2, even though it's not really that much different. I've spent about 4 or 5 hours on it already and i feel like i've done absolutely nothing thus far. It's awesome. I feel like this game is going to keep me busy for a pretty long time.

Finally got The Witcher 3. It's like no one in the country sold it. Every place i called didn't have it, for some strange reason. And then today, i found a place i've never heard of before and they had 1 copy left. Got in my car and put the pedal to the metal and few minutes later i had it. Won't be seeing sun for the next few days.

I've spent probably about.... 50k shards on Kadala gambling for Shoulders/Chests/Gloves over the past few days and haven't seen an Ancient UE piece yet. > 50k wat that's a lot Exaggeration, of course. probably closer to 20k. But still, that's a lot of shards for nothing.

Not really a fan of it tbh. I would have preferred if it was more like Dark Souls or something. I'm not really keen on the rotating thing. But i guess you get used to it after a while. Got robbed today. Had a really good 55 with this build. RG spawns with ~5 minutes left and it's Stonesinger. I think i have it all wrapped up, but turns out Stonesinger is just about the worst RG for a Carnevil build. Took me about 10 minutes to kill it. I cried for a few hours afterwards. I can't see myself getting a 55 like that again. Was literally so easy. Good density, good mobs, good maps. Just a shitty RG. Taking a break with my WD for a while now, going to be messing around with my Monk and DH. Got them both up to 53 as well. I can see myself getting 55 with the DH easily. Such a fun build once you get used to it. Still need to upgrade a few pieced of equipment too. I never found DH to be fun, as much as easy for clearing stuff fast. Being able to see chucks of HP being taken off a 50+ RG is pretty damn cool though. And DHs require a much different playstyle than other classes, so it's a fun change. Not that I don't agree with the first part, but the second part gets kinda boring especially using a marauders set. Don't think anyone will be using M6 for a while now. It's all about UE and Nat's now. Both sets that require you to actually do more than put down a sentry and run around, lol. M6 hasn't been lay down sentry and run around since 2.1.2. I have tried UE, but my Kridershot is non-ancient and it seems a little tedious to play sometimes (mostly because the lack of the pet zoo and not running Polar station to help with Bane of the Trapped). Haven't tried Nat's yet, probably won't until I get a good Nat's Xbow, the Nat's Xbow I have is pre 2.2, so it doesn't have RoV stat on it, pity as it has some nice rolls. I don't use the Kridershot for my UE build. I don't like the playstyle it forces. I just use a.... I forget the name, but it's the bow that makes enemies hit by entangling shot take x more damage. Ultimately not much different to the Krider build, but it just feels a bit more natural to me. I've been enjoying this build a lot. Managed to push 53 so far, but i seem to be stuck there. The Nat's build is really fun too. And i actually have a really well geared Nat's build (~2.6m DPS unbuffed with a 3977% belt), but that build doesn't work as well on Console imo.
