  1. I had a question before, and Quyneax was pretty good at answering it I figure that you're fine on either 148 or 117. Your combat is definitely high enough, and your DG is pretty high as it is. If these two don't work out so well - keep with some parties on whatever world you've been doing it on. Hopefully, you'll come across a few good parties that you can run with for a long time or at the very least - you can develop yourself as a keyer. It sounds like most of the time, the keyer brings the skill set needed to finish a dungeon fast. If you can handle that task, then I'm sure gathering up a group of consistent decent players won't be a problem. Good luck anyhow - sorry about you losing that Chaotic Reaper. I feel like dying and all I want so far is a Bone Crusher :(
  2. I'm not entirely sure of what the thread poster was trying to get at. You started off by saying "You hit both not often enough and too low as a new player and this was drawing new players away" Then later you want to reduce the numbers again. So in essence, to solve this problem of newer members actually sticking to the game - you think that changing the color of splats will solve your problem? Additionally, you make it sound like this: (for example purposes) you hit 50 damage - this will show up as a red 50 you hit 500 damage - this will show up as a blue 50 Honestly, that sounds horribly confusing and nobody's really going try to figure that out if they can easily just see a 50 and a 500. Your older members can also see their progress. When they train they have different varying highest hits (shown in yellow obviously) and they can see that it can go up slowly (i.e from a 325 to a 326) An easier way to solve this problem is just to have RS show you your highest hit in the combat option where you can select your stance - so it'll be different for each stance. Or I'm sure there's a way to code something that is on the side and can show you your max hit with the current equip/stances.
  3. To keep it short and simple: Haters going to hate. Honestly, half the fun of getting to be good at something is so others can notice it as well. Although, if people get mad - that means a.) they're jealous b.) you're doing something right However, I don't really understand why you would even be in a f2p just to talk to people. There are a couple (not everybody obviously) of legit fishers to be found. I've found that the couple of times I've started a conversation in the fishing guild - somebody is bound to reply.
  4. If I were you - I would probably work on skill money making methods. Often, training requires tons of luck - you can go kill a handful and get one or kill hundreds and not have anything useful drop. Also, since you already have 99 in your melees & constitution - you're probably better off training another stat. TD's are weak to magic, but IMO there are plenty of other more efficient ways to train that.
  5. I hear that! I figure bonecrusher is pretty useful (as I like to train prayer as I combat) I want to camp at hill giant (for charms) and the bonecrusher will help a lot at that point. I have to wait til 90+ DG to get into good parties? The solo xp is sooo horrible, should I be doing C6 the whole time? I hear that some people rush C1 to the last few levels then do a large dungeon or something? Is it something reasonable to solo?
  6. It says that you live in SoCal and if you can, try to stop by a large store like: Kmart, Duane Reade, 7-11, etc You can just buy some of those runescape cards from them and get member that way. Sounds a lot safer then trying to figure out a legitimate business that well sell runescape membership to unverified paypal address. Paypal is pretty bad with customer services - so chances are that if you do get scammed, there's a very unlikely chance that you'll be getting your money back. Just speaking from personal experience with paypal.
  7. Hey guys, I just started DG and I want to rush for that Bonecrusher :P Anyhow, it costs 34k in tokens and after that (not immediately after but sometime in the future) will be going for some other items probably start off with scroll of life and if I ever get to a respectable DG level where I can actually make more then a couple of hundred tokens an hour - hopefully one of those chaotic weapons. I was wondering should I begin to specialize in any classes? The beginning costs are pretty reasonable and I was wondering if investing in this would possible help me to get any of these items faster. I know it's hard to actually calculate if/how much faster these rings will make you - so any tips from people who have though about this/tested this method out before? On an additional note, when should I try go for large dungeons? I tried to party in the lower floors and 99.99% of the times - the party I'm in failed and was a lot less efficient then actually just solo-ing the floor at C6. Thanks for your time!
  8. http://runescape.salmoneus.net/construction_help.html They have a couple of different ways to level construction. However - the SC hammer sounds like a great idea - and a genius way to save costs as well. I was wondering if anybody compared the costs of buying Oak logs and turning them into planks and making larders/tables vs cutting the Mahogany logs and turning them into planks and making larders/tables. I figured if you're in it for 99 wc, having some maples to help with construction wouldn't be such a bad idea. EDIT: Yikes, I meant Mahogany - Not Maple. Sorry for the brain fart
