  1. How do you plan on training prayer? Seems like a hard thing to do on f2p :( I remember the old days when there was a graveyard in the wildy. Had a ton of big bones + normal bones + burnt bones. Pretty sure that's how I got most of my prayer :P
  2. ^ are we really arguing about the exact value of RS gold? >.< I always felt that when I tried to sell stuff in games - these games got real boring for me. Especially Maplestory - I used to merchant like crazy and scroll tons of stuff. It was fun at first, but when I started to trade the items for money - I didn't feel like playing anymore. Off topic but had a beast ass chief bandit. So much goldy gear, could wear timeless without even adding into dex.
  3. If your end goal is the extremes - you might as well start preparing for it. Beats trying to figure out prices - making/sell (or wait to sell) the potions then buy the potions you need to make anyways.
  4. If $1 = 1mil gp, you take around 10 min to manage thy kingdom and make 1.25mil per week, then you sell the 60mil gp at the end of the year into $$. You are basically playing for free with minimum time spent. Any extra cash the RWT can make is their bonus and not everyone in the world can get $3usd per hour. What's the point if you're going to value everything in RWT terms? It's a game - you play to have fun. If you really wanted to make money - get a job. It pays a lot better (not to mention consistently)
  5. ^Oh and if you're going to work on extremes - you might as well start storing up batches of the super stat potions. You're going to need them later on anyways :P
  6. Do you farm your own herbs? I would suggest making super energy potions / super attack/str/def/mage/range potions as these are the ones that probably sell the most. If you can be bothered with getting ingredients - I'm sure that Antipoisons will sell - they're pretty inconvenient to make though. However, my herblore isn't that high - I read few guides so that's where my information is coming from. I could be wrong though. Oh, and Super attacks are pretty easy to get the ingredients for albeit they don't give much exp. The eye of Newt can be bough in boxes in Taverley.
  7. Is there a multi room with pretty low leveled monsters? Something like hill giants maybe? I get close to 7k an hour with a bone crusher - yeah, it's slow and pretty bad training but I figure the charm drop/prayer exp ratio to combat is second to none.
  8. He stated he doesn't have much to work with. You never want to risk everything to train because you'll be stuck with no money. It's always a good idea to keep some money on hand just in case something big happens. There's no telling what could happen - getting prayer to 70 is a great idea but what do you really get out of it? However, a good idea is to get your prayer so that you can protect against everything. The one skill you really want is piety and that comes at lvl 90. Sure lvl 70 is closer to 90 then what you have now but it's not going to be a HUGE difference. However, skills like farming/rc will help you out right now. Honestly farming can be one of the best money makers a day. If you spend like half an hour a day farming (5-6 minute runes) that's at least 500-600k profit and that's barely doing any work. For now you can thieve the master farmer til you level up a bit - some of his seeds are worth a ton (namely Torstol). Plus leveling up some of these skills would unlock quests - some of which are pretty damn profitable. I don't recall the requirement for the two quests for manage thy kingdom but I would 100% put that as my top priority.
  9. You still haven't told me why scamming scammers is bad. It's like saying executing murderers are bad, because then you'd be killing too. Oh you probably would be against that. Nvm. Biggest reason it's justified is that it's an efficient money maker. There. That's different - there's a whole legal system for that. (Also, the death penalty isn't active in most states - if any. Maybe texas but I don't think they've executed anybody in a while) You are in fact scamming - you not only targeted the scammers on the market but also people who didn't do anything as you said yourself. All Tip.it is trying to tell you is that - there are tons of way to make >250k an hour without risking your account. If you try to log in one day and you find that your account is banned or even if you get hacked - don't expect sympathy. You brought it upon yourself.
  10. Yeah, you guys are naming skills that take million to train. Some super easy skills to level that would make decent money 1.) WC - super easy to train and yews sell for a decent amount 2.) Farming - pretty easy to train - start planting everything you can in the beginning (vegetables/flowers/herbs/bushes/hops) then switch over to limpwurts + herbs once you can plant ranarrs to save time. 3.) RC - hard to train but very profitabe - running abyss for nature/laws make a decent amount of money. However this is a notoriously boring skill to train. You can't really afk here - you gotta keep clicking and clicking and clicking :(
  11. ^^That's not nice :/ Congrats on your farming level - keep it up!
  12. Nice army you got going on there :P That would be extremely impressive if you actually had 287 quest points yet didn't make even one high score list. Not that it's even possible :P
  13. There's nothing wrong with taking your time and leveling. I enjoy having nice equipment - and makes training all the more fun. Train your farming - once you have enough to plant ranarrs - you'll make 125k per run (at the minimum - usually around 150-175k ish) It doesn't sound like a lot but it really only requires about 5-6 minutes per run :P Remember to grab supercompost and do Fairy Tale Part 1 asap for the magic secateurs for the additional herb gain!
  14. Maybe the black kite was hindering him from swinging his pick ;)
  15. It sounds like just a price manipulation. I'd attribute it to some merchants buying out items that are pretty rare and then just keeping them til the prices go up again. Stupid free trade - you can't tell what prices are real or fake anymore :(
  16. i swear you always post short statements on every post that just make you sound like a [bleep]. anyway i think jagex should jus do it based on the ge, why the hell not? its a fairly accurate representation of an items worth, usefulness etc.. why should i have to worry about keeping oak logs over my santa?! or think about what i pick up when i pk with ags/claws, which kinda makes us hav to learn 2 prices for all pk items.,. loads of people think thats a bad idea for some reason tho.. It's not a bad idea - but how do you factor in untradables? What about GE prices that are wrong? There are plenty of items whose market value is vastly different then that of the GE based on how the GE has limitations on the average worth of each item. It's not as easy as you think.
  17. Melee being better than range/magic is not relevant to me. And may i remind you? Runescape is about using all three forms of combat. Not just one of them. So that you shouldn¨'t use a magic weakening spell while meleeing don't make sense. This topic aint about discussing which combat form is better than other. If you ask me, the three of them are pretty good except for magic. Now lets end that there and go on to the topic: How is my suggestion of 1 magic attack bonus= 1% spell performing success ONLY FOR weakening spells a bad way to go? This means you need magical equipment to achieve +100 magic attack bonus to always be able to weaken a high level monster without splashing. Now, its stupid that one would weaken a level 1 rat. Or a level 100 greater demon. Whats the point of casting a weaken spell on them? They are very weak as it is. However casting weakening spells on a high level monster is better. This way the spell serves its purpose. And how is it not fair for someone to be able to weaken a high level monster without splashing once, if they bring magical equipment to get 100 magic attack bonus? Is it better that weakening spells continue to splash and noone using them for their true purpose? Or should Jagex work on making them useful. Do you even think before you talk? I'm not saying only use one form of combat - I'm saying you can't use multiple forms of combat at the same time. Casting magic when you're in full melee armor is paramount to ranging with full melee armor - it's not going to work out. It seems that whatever anybody else says, you're still going to qq about how you can't use weaken spells on high leveled monsters and propose downright dumb ideas for spells to work. Why would anybody train/wear any type of defensive armor if you can just get your bonus up to 100 and never miss regardless of what their defensive stats are. It's like you're not even here to have an actual conversation - you just want to rant and have things your way without thinking of any consequences. Have fun with that, I'm outtie.
  18. I wasn't referring to PvP situations. In 90% of the case - the best melee set up would always be better then the best range/mage set up. I was just saying that it's almost always easier just to melee then to do range/mage. I think that casting stat changing spells should be revamped not only to include magic attack but also defense. It's not fair if you're going to stun a lvl 300 dragon just as easily as a lvl 1 rat.
  19. ^^ It just seems like in most of the cases - melee is always the best option to choose when fighting a monster. Especially if the monster is at your level or high - otherwise half of the equipment of mages/rangers are made useless. It just seems like they need to rehaul the classes, start balancing out some of the things. I can understand part of it, because especially if you're using magic/range - you can safe spot and not even get hurt whereas if you're melee - it's a lot harder to not get hit. It's a moot point with higher level monsters because they have multiple attack styles but short of a pretty huge class overhaul - there's nothing that can be done. I'm just glad I'm not f2p anymore - where magic/range was pretty much useless compared to melee.
  20. Well they already coded gridded keyboard movement? :D but they did not implement it because it did not work well. I can think of a a number of good reasons why this would not work well in RS. I want a way to promote and demote certain developers. I feel like RS some good quest lines. And some that are just complete garbage. Agreed - some of the ones are pretty fun to read. That's a large part of why I do quests - it's nice to have the stories behind some of the quests. Some of the quests just don't make any sense whatsoever. Some of the tasks they ask you to do have no relation to what they want accomplished.
  21. ^ Yeah, I ran through some math on my own and it seems that Trees + Herbs are always going to be the best way to go. Especially with the FT - the cost of coal/fishes are dropping but the birds nest are pretty great income at ~5k per.
  22. It's not any different. You can be a melee/range/mage but not all at the same time. I'm sure you don't train range with a full set of rune/dragon on. It's just not viable - you try to maximize your damage output by putting on gear that increases it not decrease it. Additionally, monsters have innate resistance too - there's a reason why greater demons are easier to kill then fire giants despite the level difference. Also, magic resistance depends not only on your gear but your level and magic level as well - I'm sure this is the case with mithril dragons. Since they can't actually have a level, I'm sure Jagex incorporated their actual combat (which is pretty damn high) into factoring how hard/often you hit for.
  23. I HATE that game. That one game plus my lack of self control destroyed my ability to do any school work last term :P Tips: If you turn on the sound and play - you'll notice that certain sounds come before a star. That way you don't have to be looking for the star when it's not there. Also, I think this is a glitch but sometimes no stars appear for a while but you still have to grab the other rainbow thingy. If you don't, you'll still lose your consecutive bonus :/
  24. Again i know they have high magical defense. But Jagex should make a exception with weakening spells. They are not being used at all. Only purpose they have is for splash magic lvling. Imagine how nice it will be to be able to use these spells and not actually splash! And here is a formula or whatever you'd call it: with no magic attack bonus you have 90% chance of succeeding to weaken a monster. And if you have +50 magic attack bonus, you will be guranteed to weaken a monster each time u cast a spell. That "formula" is just a example of how it can be dealt with. That would be pretty op. Everybody would just bring runes for those spells and cast it. Basically - you have to choose, do you want to go melee / magic / range. If you can always choose between multiple combat stances - then there would be no triangle would there? It's a pretty fair thing, mages can cast it and it'll be successful more often but because they're already using magic. EDIT: Your question is like saying - "Why does the Fire Blast spell not work well when I'm melee-ing? It splashes pretty often so they might as well just take it out of the game" That wouldn't make much sense would it?
