  1. It sounds like with your no attack/def stats - hill giants may be the best place to train at. However, you could also try training at the ice giants - but you would probably need a friend or two to pull aggro for a while. At least til the ice warriors stop attacking you. If you're really active - I say you can always try minotaurs. They don't really do much damage, they drop arrows, food and they have a pretty good spawn rate.
  2. I dislike because the lyric is "Hope you ain't too tired to cry, and I hope you know you ain't never to alive to die" :P
  3. You're always able to complete the dungeon (at least in my experience). However, the doors that you "sometimes" can't open would be the example of a bonus room. I can't tell you for sure that ALL bonus rooms are behind skill doors because then they would just be behind a normal door and I go into every normal door. If it's a dead end room, I'll just go in and pop right back out. However, people seem to say that once you open the door (as in click it so you see what's inside) you get the bonus. That makes sense I suppose since once you click it, the ? disappears on your map of the floor.

    Scamming!

I'd always be wary if somebody pm'ed me specifically asking to buy/sell something that I was not advertising :( Sorry to hear that bro - hope you can find a way to get back that money :/
  5. ^Thanks for the help guys! So, I should stick to my whip/ddf, neitz, torag plate/legs + whatever else I normally use for melee? Should I be switching to more prayer conservative gear when I reach the required level/finish the quest for piety? I probably won't range too much, might use mage though. Is it any good for slayer tasks?
  6. Yikes, I meant bowstring. I sent you a pm about the bulk ordering :D
  7. Can the deflector not replace headgear? I was under the impression the deflector could be worn in the place of any other item. I didn't know if it would work with the helm cause you had to wear a specific one for each combat type.
  8. Hey guys, I wanted to start slayer (skilled for about three weeks since I started members and I got bored :P). My combat stats are not that good and I think I'm going to continue training defense so I don't get hit as often. Mainly I want to be going for speed when doing slayer tasks - but at the same time I don't want to be banking every 15 minutes because a fire giant is bashing me to death. I will probably be doing tasks from Sumona/Chaeldar if that gives any additional information. So, my question is - should I go for a full void knight set (+deflector and a slayer helm) or should I just stick to some normal gear - i.e barrows/bandos/etc I'm not that rich - about 5 mil at hand and I can easily make 12 in a few days. Any other tips about slayer would be great too!
  9. I remember seeing this when I first started DG but it seemed that as I leveled back up I got all my prestige back. However, I never really did C1's much so that might account for the difference in the prestige (although I was led to believe that prestige was based on how many floors you've done only. This may be a stupid question but when you're rushing floors 1-20, you're not resetting after that right? You do 21-30 on C6 or whatever then reset after that right? That is the only thing I can think of that can account for the drastic lowered prestige rate.
  10. Firstly, fletching isn't that fast, it's about 200k. It might be one of the easier skills, but it's tedious. Secondly, you've completely ignored the time it takes to get the money to train the other skills that that rate. Just because physically getting the experience is a fast process doesn't mean that training the skill as a whole is fast. If it was, everyone would be running around in herblore and construction capes. Often it costs in the hundreds of millions of coins to get into the real meat of a skill (see: Prayer). I think that as it is, the amount of effort required to get a 99 in a skill is alright. It's difficult, and demands long term commitment, but it's not completely unreasonable. I love how 999134 has 104m herb exp so he thinks the cap should be raised to that level. Why not just set the master caps at 200m? Because that is indeed when you have mastered the skill - even if you try to continue you won't be learning anything new (i.e you're not getting any more exp) I agree with will_holmes but sometimes I think that some skills just don't skill properly. I guess it would be unfair to change it now after people already invested billions into some skills but honestly prayer? If you tried to actually level that skill without trying to buy any bones, it's terrible to train. Whereas skills like wc/fletching/fm aren't terribly tasking to level and have a pretty decent xp/level. I think it's just not all skills are created equal. It'd be impossible to make all skills train at the same rate but the discrepancy between some of them are so large, it makes the easier capes to get laughable.
  11. Lol I think the OP already knew that. He just never threw out the pins he used so he has a pile of used and unused one but he can't tell which is which.
  12. This is a pretty nice video but I thought it was pretty long. Maybe 5-7 minutes would be better but that's all up to you. Also, I disliked how you input the effect where the screen shook. That's just the artist's preference though. It was pretty fun to watch it (most of it anyways :P) I liked how you timed some of the songs. We would reach the song's peak as you killed the other player and I enjoyed that! I also liked how the guy called you a nerd after trying to kill you right after you killed your target right to the east of the Varrock square
  13. I haven't heard of most of these games. :( I felt that sega dreamcast was a very under appreciated game system. One of my favorite games was Ooga Booga - sounds stupid I know but I had tons of fun playing with friends. It was such a ridiculous game. If they even sell it anymore (or the sega dreamcast) I figure it's probably a couple of dollars since you'll only find a second hand copy of it. I miss the days of my Sega Dreamcast :(
  14. That made me lol. Just wondering, since this thread has been going on for well over a year - (for those who have followed this thread for some time) are the people at the top the same as always? Have there been anybody who has been really close before giving up, or at least a large amount of people who were in contention for first to 200m before they gave up. That would be so awesome 200m in all skills :/ Jagex should give an award for that or something :P
  15. ^ How long is the mute for? It is considered scamming even if it was you scamming a scammer back. In any case, at least you're not banned - just find a clan with teamspeak/skype and it'll be the same :P
  16. ^ That sounds a little heartless. Not everybody who wanted the free trade back/wilderness deserves to get hacked. A lot of the glitching/scamming had more to do with the way Jagex followed up on some of their updates rather then as a direct consequence of Free Trade. If you think about it - the Free Trade/Wildy coming back was not entire a bad idea. Most RPG's don't input a free trade restriction but rather the players of the game dictate how much an item is worth. In addition, think about how annoying it must've been to trade for a hard to get item that was underpriced on the GE. You would have to overpay then get the item + junk only to resell the junk later on. Truth be told, it's just easy to be a scammer on RS. For the most part, Jagex doesn't do anything about these scammers so many probably get the impression "I might as well, what do I have to lose?"

    Today...

Woke up, studied a little bit of organic chemistry. Test on Thursday and it's a pretty rigorous course (only 8/300 people got A's last term). Then went to the gym to play a little basketball. Studied a bit more, now I'm playing RS/watching videos on hulu/looking at Tip.It. Gotta love skills that you don't have to pay attention to level :P
  18. Haha, I don't think that cows being the dominant species on earth argument works very well. Not that they couldn't be the dominant species, but this whole moral qualm point of view. If you think about what you said - it sounds like cows would eat humans because they are superior. For some reason, that reminded me of wars/fights. In some cases, the victor would destroy the opposition and slaughter tens of thousands of people. However, I've yet to hear an account of a story where the victor began to eat the losers. I know my argument is a little farfetched but I don't think we eat cows just because we're "superior" and they can provide milk and meat for us.
  19. I hope you have a weapon! Some suggestions: Take that 1 mil - pour it into MTK and just make money for now. Go on some farming runs while training slayer - (I'm assuming you have the slayer helm? - If not, you should go get that :P) For some decent/quick money making - go on Herb Runs I'm planting ranaar seeds (even though my farming is 61) for the money. I have access to 4 patches and magic secataurs and on average I get about 25-30 herbs on a trip (the actual number is probably around 28). With clean ranarrs at around 5.5k and seeds being 9k, you would get a profit of about 100k per run (operating on a 25 herb per trip assumption). That's pretty decent for 5 minutes of work and especially because ranarrs pretty much insta-sell (I only put them on the market after a couple of days or so) while the seeds tend to trickle in throughout the day. Plant limpwurts as well - they're not great for money but you're already hitting up all the allotments.
  20. Your stats are pretty decent - you can start solo-ing. However, having a few duo runs might be a good idea if you haven't played in a while. You might want to list your armor/weapon/etc so that people might make other suggestions. If you're totally broke - slayer is always a good idea. EDIT: Dungeoneering might be a good skill to train. However, I suggest you do tears of gunthix or something to get out of the first few levels. I would wait until at least level 15-20 to actually start DG-ing. One problem with DG is that it won't cure him of his money problem and definately wont help to gear him up by the time he hits 85 to go to frost dragons. On top of that his summoning is 70, and most people recommend having a pack yak before going to frost dragons.
  21. They're definitely buyable around that price. How many/how much are you looking for?
  22. If you're worried about skill-ing being a time sink, I can assure you that farming is not. Herb runs take only 5 minutes or so and you can do them whenever. If you really want to go combat - I figure Barrows/DKs (if you're pretty alert) are both good ideas.
  23. Sweet idea! 02/13/2011 - LitterBug/LitterBug01 - 1,000 Oak Logs / 25k 02/13/2011 - LitterBug/LitterBug01 - 1,000 Flax / 125k I was wondering - how long do we have to wait before placing another order? (I.e if you want more of the item and you're already buying maxed) Do we have to wait until the order is claimed/completed?
  24. ^^ I'm going to assume these rates were calculated with the best exp rate in mind. This would probably change for the worse if it had to account for afking and not being totally concentrated. Even assuming that those rates were right - if one were to play 12 hours a day (which is highly unlikely), they would have to play for 2 years straight before they would actually finish their goal. While that may be very possible - I find it hard to maintain interest if I play for a handful of hours consecutively.
  25. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Desert_strykewyrm The description makes it sound horribly not fun. You have to initiate combat by inspecting each one and then wait to complete a emote before you can even begin targeting it. It has a special attack which probably isn't too hard to avoid but will make afk training a lot harder. Sounds like something that would be canceled pretty often.
