What the hell do you mean pretty close? If you actually mean not even half way there - then I guess you're right. There are a lot of people who are pretty close. Who is this "person" that updates a thread quite frequently and why would that be pretty ridiculous?
-
I was looking around and I couldn't find the answer so I decide I would ask somebody here: So, can you make extreme/overload (4) by using a (4) of the potion that you need as primary ingredient?
-
6 more wc levels and a dragon hatchet will not give you a 33% reduction in time. Most of that time will be spent running to the bank anyways. Have you been doing this for a long time or is it just a one run deal and then you extrapolated the data for an hour? I don't think you can get 60k an hour - especially if you're waiting for the oak logs to respawn.
-
I would probably start off leveling all the skills - you should probably start with magic/farming. Magic is nice since you'll get a lot of teleport skills and it'll just save you time in the future when you're questing and what not. Farming is not a very time intensive skill (what I mean is you only need to go on a 5 minute farm run then come back in 75 minutes and do another one) and it's pretty decent money as well. If anything, you could always use the herb for herblore. For now, since your combat isn't really that high - you can buy gold bars off the GE then make gold bracelet which you resell on the GE. Doing this would net you about 120ish k gp in an hour as well as ~25k crafting exp depending on how much attention you're paying. If you don't want to craft - just steal from master farmers. It's a pretty good way to level up thieving and once in a while you'll get some nice seed which will sell for a handful. The seeds you don't use can always help you in farming.

Does the CLS attacking at normal speed only work for one turn? Or do you keep the rapier speed? I'm guessing it's only for one turn since you can't just switch to cls right after you use the rapier - so why not keep switching speeds. Since the cls stats are higher - it would be better attacking at rapier speed and the rapier with lower stats would be attacking at ls speed. Am I missing something here?
-
From your stats - it looks like you can start farming ranaars. They're pretty decent money and you don't have to wait around. Another idea is to chop yew although your wc isn't high. The best way to profit (probably) right now is to find people who are trading 2 nats for 1 rune essence and just go to those worlds and run runes for them.
-
A decent way to level is to superheat steel then to smelt them into items for fast exp or turn them into cannonball for good gp. Although the fastest way would probably be to superheat gold ores - superheating is A LOT faster then normal smelting (especially if you're going for bars that take multiple ores - bronze, steel, mith, addy, rune)

Skilling and untradeable high level rewards.

I think the bigger problem is the discrepancy between some of the skills. It's not like melee shouldn't be important, but what the hell is the use of getting 99 in some skills if they produce nothing special and they're a money drain. For example - firemaking and smithing. They don't really provide that much of a benefit and their cons definitely don't outweigh their pros. The only reason people like training them is for more overall exp/another 99 -
So most of your magic defense actually comes from your magic level? Does anybody have any concrete evidence for this or is that just hearsay? If that's true - then I'm going to rush leveling magic >.<
-
And by rush you mean just run through killing the monsters? Rushing is basically only killing monsters you need and doing the bare minimal to finish the dungeon. You don't have to kill all monsters - just the ones behind Guardian doors (i.e you need to kill them to open doors) Just run through the map - getting your puzzles, keys, etc - kill the monsters you need to kill and then killing the boss ASAP. Things that may slow your rate: Farming herbs/training herblore Training magic/making runes for RC exp Killing monsters that are NOT needed to open doors Fishing/Cooking for exp Mining ores/Smithing armor You first bind should be a 2h or a poisoned spear. I felt that the 2h is a LOT better then the poisoned spear. If you're careful and you pray the really high level monsters - you should be fine and most of the time you won't die. With this being said, smithing armor that you won't have in the next lvl DG is a waste of time. ALSO, it's important to get the either the first rank in attack or str specialty in the ring. It's really cheap and gives you a HUGE dps boost in calculating damage - this will speed up your dungeon sooooo much.
-
Just go solo - most people suggest going solo until level 70ish DG. Just rush the dungeon - don't waste time trying to get skill exp/etc and only kill guardian monsters For your first bind - get the highest 2h you can use / getting a poisoned spear is not a bad idea either from what I've heard

Dragon bones are 10,000. Frost are 1,000. I was gonna say that didnt seem right because yesterday i bought 5k d bones in 1 go on my noob account to get his prayer up. What are you talking about? 5k d bones is less then 10,000...
-
Hey guys, I'm going to be selling close to 40k cannonballs. (Trying to make some money - haha) I already have the steel bars and ~10k at hand. I'll be smelting some everyday, leave a message here if you would like to buy them.

How many equipment bonus points equals a level?
LitterBug replied to runevirage's topic in Help and Advice
Is there a formula that dictates how much damage you do? I'm aware that there should be some sort of random generator somewhere but I was wondering if there was something I could look at -
Truth is, there are barely any items like this. Very few people would pass up the chance at getting free magic exp especially at a rate of 75k an hour. Especially all those people at camelot just teleporting around.
-
I think imma just do ape atoll now. Will be working on the quest in a little bit :P
-
Sweet start-up, that's super impressive. Keep it up :D

Is there a multi room with pretty low leveled monsters? Something like hill giants maybe? I get close to 7k an hour with a bone crusher - yeah, it's slow and pretty bad training but I figure the charm drop/prayer exp ratio to combat is second to none. Charms from low level monsters aren't that good as they mostly drop gold/green charms. You're looking for crimsons as they give the best ratio of gp/xp.Wouldn't want to waste tens of milions on very expensive summoning xp. ^ My summoning is pretty low so I thought I would just to get it up a bit. I didn't think it was a bad idea. Is there any decently low level monster that would help me get charms extremely fast? I can get about 85 gold charms at hill giants without trying so hard and I'm enjoying the nice prayer exp/combat exp ratio. I was looking up some good monsters to kill for charms - there were some logs talk about cave bugs which were level 6 and have a 50% chance of dropping green charms. However, that's a total lie :(

Congrats! Just in time - you look like you're out of charms :P What's next in your goal list? -
So the general consensus is to do the brimhaven thingy?
-
^ Thanks for the help! There's nothing to give me more then 8-10 k agility per hour? That's really not cool :( I have the requirements for ape atoll - (minus the quest which I can do if needed) should I start training there? I've heard lots of stories about pkers just wandering around, coming into the course to kill people then leave. I don't wanna have to deal with coming back and avoid any pkers on the trip. EDIT: I just got that comment about the Ape Atoll. How is Brimhaven comparable? If I use my tickets on agility exp - would I be getting >10k an hour?
-
Hey guys, I was wondering what are the best routes for agility training? Right now, my agility is level 50 but I plan on getting it to at least level 70 - probably higher sometime soon. I would appreciate it if you guys could give me a course/outline of where I should go. I've been at Barbarian Outpost for a long time now and the exp rate is pretty bad ~9-10k per hour. I wouldn't mind training at Yanille but bringing antipoisons are a hassle so I wanted your input. What's the best agility exp I can get now? When should I switch courses? Any information is greatly appreciated!
-
I can't think of a place with tons of oak near a bank. It's certainly not the greatest idea to cut oak til level 70. Willows are definitely your best bet - once you hit level 50 or so, you'll start chopping like a mad man. Cut at Draynor - it's a bit crowded but if you're somewhat paying attention, you'll get really good exp here.
-
For F2P- Fishing lobsters at Karamaja was a great way to make money Yews are also probably really good for making money A skiller tries to max all of his skills - there isn't an order people really follow. However, it seems that most skillers tend to max an easy skill first - I'd start with wc/fishing because they're probably the fastest skills to level.

^ they provide basically some of the best items in the game Check out the reward section of the dungeoneering guide. In addition to weapons, they offer a few special items that make different skills more profitable/easier to train. For example: 1.) Scroll of life - returns seeds you have planted 10% of the time (if the plant survives - 5% if it has died) 2.) Bonecrusher - automatically buries the bones of the monsters you have killed ... The list goes on
