  1. Lmao wtf? El Shaddai. You know, the video game.
  2. There is no way on earth I'm ever getting another CoD game. All four that I have are virtually the same. In the words of Sarah Palin: "Thanks, but no thanks".

Nope. From what I've heard, the majority of the audience is males and females ages 15-35. :wall: These people need jobs/hobbies/bedfellows. Edit: Just saw the above. I swear MLP is aimed at girls of age 3-6 approx? Or am I completely mad? I have a job as a courier, a hobby of computing and a girlfriend whose sex drive equals my own. And I [bleep]ing love ponies.
  4. This.

  6. If you're going to throw around silly accusations, at least spell my name correctly - last time I checked, there wasn't a user called "Crossefico" on TIF. I wouldn't say that I and many members of the community are "overreacting" and have "high expectations" when we slate this loyalty programme; I'd just say we've seen throught a badly thought out ploy to try and get people paying. It's undoubtedly the influence of Jagex's new owners: private equity firms. And no, none of what you said about me feeling "forced" to renew my membership holds any basis in fact. I cancelled it in December when the referendum came out. I call myself semi-retired because I play sporadically but can't do much with two accounts with little raw cash and mostly members' items. I don't really want to play much anymore, however, so it suits me fine.
  7. Bienvenue au monde. :-D I'm sorry you got scammed. Generally, once you do something like that, there's virtually no way you'll fall for it - or any scam - again. From now on, if you ever meet these type of scammers again, do the trick whereby you say something along the lines of "if you double 500k, I'll get you to double 10 mil". Scammers are usually just a little more intelligent than their victims, so they'll normally double your 500k and expect you to hand across the 10 mil. Once the 500k is doubled, walk away calmly and contentedly.
  8. Thanks very much for the feedback, Central Keeper. It's especially nice to know how you met your friend due to randoms - meeting friends on RS can happen for so many reasons, but I can honestly say I've not heard it being throught random events before. Thanks for posting. ;)
  9. Me neither. I once saw a list of the 'Worst 10 Books Ever' in a newspaper, and the four Twilight books were listed 10th, 7th, 4th and 1st. To put this into perspective: Mein Kampf was in 5th, and Amanda McKittrick Ros in 3rd. I think this was a pretty spot-on list.
  10. Christ, this troll must be a pro.
  11. Done. Merci beaucoup.
  12. Perhaps someone could also add me in in Swanage, England please? It's in the county of Dorset on the south coast, and it's a coastal town. Thanks
  13. Technically we don't, but we vote for our MP on the back of what the Prime Ministerial candidate is offering us. I've never seen or heard anything in terms of policy from my MP. The services the MPs offer via surgeries are virtually the same from party to party.
  14. Especially when Construction's already so damn fast to train. Seriously, fire the butler, relocate to the Yanille portal and use the bank. It's the next best option.
  15. The incumbent Prime Minister of the UK - David Cameron, for whom I voted - has an ideology that is very close to my own. Just because he is the richest campaigner or whatever does not mean that he shouldn't lead the country. In the world, there will always be those who command and those who are commanded. But we can at least choose who commands us.
  16. The democratic system does have its flaws, but everyone heeding your proposal would be a disaster. The voting system would collapse, creating a power vacuum which would inevitably give rise to some sort of autocratic government. Just because nobody votes doesn't mean nobody would take power, in some way or another, and a government that doesn't have to sway an electorate is going to act with far less regard for the people. Obviously, the western democratic system is not exactly on the verge of collapse. I'm just using a hyperbolic, hypothetical situation to try and illustrate what an awful idea not voting is. ;)
  17. I really wouldn't read the Potter series. It's a load of cliché trash. Trust me when I say you'd be wasting your time. I read books one to four, looked back, and seriously regretted it. Once you start doing what the opposite sex tell you to do, it's a slippery slope to womanhood. I've seen rugby loving 'macho' men turned into virtual slaves with eating disorders by their girlfriends. The same principle applies to women with despotic boyfriends, incase you thought I was being sexist. :P

    You must be an American.
  19. That's your opinion. Mine is that random events are a fun diversion from the monotony of skilling - if you just read through this thread, you'll see plenty of people who agree with this -, so the idea that all legitimate players are annoyed by them is a lot of rubbish. Someone having a different opinion and someone trolling is a distinction that you, and some others, need to learn to make.
  20. I was responding to the problem of underfunding that you mentioned, which was caused by excessive spending, that resulted in massive national debts, by Labour. I think we all know how much money is going down the sink on NHS admin, benefits fraud, and other such things that have been caused by Labour's dual policy of extending social services and centralising the government. I don't think we need to go into detailed discussion about such common knowledge.
  21. If they are indeed under-funded (though I've not seen any evidence, I won't deny it's a likely scenario), then there are three very simple reasons for this: Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya. Admittedly, Cameron got us involved in Libya, but it is the least expensive by a country mile. Instead, we've got the "left wing", but somehow economically neolibera and foreign policy hawk, Mr Blair to thank for all this money thrown down the sink in nation building in Asia. Then there's Brown's extensive borrowing after the crash. Any and all problems with funding are a matter of necessity caused by the shambles of a government that was Labour from 2001 to 2010; prior to 2001, I didn't think they were doing a bad job. I will admit that. EDIT: From here on, all people who vote incorrectly will be named and shamed in the first post of this thread. Look out for your name there and recast your vote.
  22. This. And I think they know it. For some, of course, the product isn't even good enough to justify putting up with the bots. If such an opinion were to become commonplace, then Jagex would go under. It's a very precarious situation to be in.
  23. But it doesn't help their cause, especially when everyone knows they're lying. It only makes them seem more incompetent and helpless than they already are when it comes to bots.
