If we have lvl 90 ranged gear and lvl 90 melee gear one wonders if they'll let the mage spell cap up to lvl 90 (even if they are more dependant on weapons now so til lvl 90 gear theyll be a bit behind)

f2p cant play 07 f2p servers... W T F ?
Lol no-one voted specifically for 07 to have a fee. It was the original poll to gauge interest that, even after they pulled the levels down by like 250k votes didn't reach the "free" tier and of all those hundreds of thousands of votes most quit 07scape already. As for the content polls for 07 anyone who plays 07 and DOESN'T look at them is just a plain [wagon]. It was made clear from the very launch there would be forum space to suggest updates and semi-regular polls to vote these changes in or out. If you care so much about the game you'd know this due to having read the info on it and you'd WANT to take part in the polls to have a say in how 07scape is shaped. It is the ultimate recognition of listening to all the opinions on something. But I'm bored of this thread now, the more you reply the clearer it becomes you are just a butthurt kid stooping to childish insults and retorts because you don't have anything decent to respond with.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
They really skimped on the Random events for ports imo. They could've at the very least done: 1) 2-3 DIFFERENT events per person. 2) Included events for John Strumm (til he dies), the Navigator and the Seasinger 3) Included a few events for the random nameless and even perhaps added a few more characters eg chamber maid type person for the lodgings, the shipwright, artisan in the workshop. The Black Marketeer one annoys me no end. Why 90% of the time do all 5 give the same dam clue? Great it's someone with a hat! They all have dam hats! Why like 50% of the time do they just give wrong clues? Oh it's a woman you say, let's go click a woman "well thats the wrong gender for a start" Ok that last guy was a liar give it to me straight, blue top you say, let's click one of them "Thats not right their top is a different colour"

Random events are still limited to one a day, so it's pretty bad. You only really want telescopes, jade statues, or parrots. And once you hit the endgame, you don't want telescopes. I'd add Cherry Trees to the list of handy ones; when your grinding through for upgrades the boost can be handy and Parrots are only good if you lack the 99s of course. Pandora's just suck, it's kinda rare to not get a random within the day, even only sending out 1 or 2 rounds of voyages. One a day is the limit and if you get that 99/100 anyway why boost it?

Looks-wise I agree the basic elementals are pretty bad-ass since graphic reworks; most other staffs look ugly by comparison.

f2p cant play 07 f2p servers... W T F ?
RSC was only open to accounts that had previously played on it; it was opened for a few short windows for members to be able to log in and create an account. Now it is entirely closed to new players. And it's not BS. The main game is the product they WANT you to play. Old school is a side-line perk for those with nostalgia that can be used if you are a paying member. Heck on the basis of the poll results in around June/July Old School will require an EXTRA fee to play than just normal members. Also as for 'next to noone' liking the EOC - The lovely Misplacedme has been running online player scraps for eoc vs OS since it's launch (http://www.misplaceditems.com/2007online.php). At launch they were around 50:50, they are now at around 70:30 in favour of EoC and that is WITH a fair portion of bots disappearing from EoC and appearing on Old school. Anyone still trying to argue Old School is more popular needs a serious reality check; the numbers just don't agree with you.

f2p cant play 07 f2p servers... W T F ?
Because people LIKE F2P pking over P2P pking sometimes; even back when it was 2007 lots of members went to f2p for an evening or w/e to pk. The 07 users ASKED for the servers so that they COULD pk with f2p limits in place. It went through the content polls, it passed. They ASKED for it.

I think it's worth pointing out since Jagex failed to announce it anywhere: They are posting the podcasts on runescape.podbean.com now - the podmatic one seems to be abandoned.

Thing that makes me lol with these weapons: Release 15 weapon sets to cover all the bases for cosmetic weapons in tandem with the weapon keepsake boxes. Only let us have 1 mh or 2h and 1 oh keepsaked... Seriously you MADE THE WEAPONS TO BE KEEPSAKED did you not realise when doing this how many keepsake slots we SHOULD have had?

Because things are always balanced in a way that the worse outcomes are more common. The same is true of everything in runescape. Spicy Stews give lower boosts more often. Crops give lower harvests more often. Monsters give common drops more often. That is the nature of Runescape, or any game in the same vein.

We were all kind of hoping the Ranged dung would bring t90 to bow, crossbow and thrown leaving just mage to catch up; but given the snippet on the end of a bts A powerful new item I kinda suspect it'll be t80 Thrown since thrown has virtually nothing beyond dragon and sagies.

They could work in the context of Elder Artefacts perhaps: Stones = Stone of Jas = Jas Gems = Obsidian Gems = Elder Kiln = Ful or perhaps gems > crown > Ful or god 3? Or perhaps the Kharid-Ib is one? Sticks = Staff of Armadyl or perhaps Skargartoh's Sword = Elder 3 perhaps? There's potential there, we just lack enough pieces of the puzzle to complete it for sure. Actually, the Gemstones that you get in the task look VERY, VERY similar to the Shards of the Armadyl Battlestaff's orb. It's essentially the same inventory icon rotated a bit. If there's any link there it's probably the armadyl staff. Trees are pretty commonly linked to the passage of time, and the Kharid Desert was originally a giant forest. Grasping at straws a bit, but Jas could be represented by the sticks potentially. I think your Jas link is flawed in that Jas IS about sand - fact confirmed. So why would a forest that became a desert long after she left be anything to link her? The shard I dislike that link simply because why would it be likened via something that represents a broken artefact? Just doesn't seem right to me, but its possible. Plus arguably the gems look equally similar to the fight kiln crystals - a bit smaller perhaps but similar.

Strange issues.
Sounds like your flash installation/plug in is corrupt seeing as videos = flash and using them seems to be what is causing things to lock up.

f2p cant play 07 f2p servers... W T F ?
It's quite simple really: 07scape is NOT a f2p game. The 'f2p style' servers only exist because back then, even among members, f2p pking was popular and users wanted servers with those restrictions in place. People asked for them, they got em. If they fail to use them thats their own fault and hardly surprising in a game that was so highly demanded yet seems to be dying faster than RSC ever aspired to.

You do realise 50%-99% = loss right? The return is a % of what you put in. Putting in 1m 50-300% return means you get back 500k - 3m in rewards.

The map includes the new Wizards' Tower (though not the updated Duel Arena) so it's more recent than 2011. I don't see why the Desert being shaded for Tumeken/Pantheon is an issue either. Jagex are by no means saying these 8 are the only options and that all of gielinor must follow them. They are just the gods big enough, in terms of story, power and desire, to warrant our following. Marimbo, Tumeken & co still exist in the lore. We even know the Fremmy god and Karamajan god are going to be revealed to us AND a few more gods are gonna come to Gielinor who never came before eg Tuska

The map mildly bugs me in that they've said about 3 or 4 times now there IS a fremmy god yet all the fremmy-linked areas are marked Guthix. Lol at digsite though

But he is consistent, I appreciate that. Saradomin is annoying, I actually find Zamorak more reasonable. Saradomin seems really Christian to me, a jealous god etc. - Zamorak would at least recognize that other gods simply took opportunities, even if he disagreed with the lot. Also, Zaros as god of Fate, me likes. That's an important job. On the map with worshippers, Meirditch is Saradominist. Interesting - apparently the vyre god is not the biggest there. Not surprising considering the numbers, but the power balance is definitely in favour of vyres. == On the whole, the lore aspect seems unbalanced. It is hard to tell the difference between different gods sometimes. I read: Bandos - War, fighting, basically for fun? Easy message, understood. Also the (physically?) strongest should rule, which is basically a non-policy where gods are concerned, because there's no way he can enforce that. Seren - Hide away from trouble in an impregnable fortress/city. Understood. Protect followers - ok. Godless - Gods go home. Understood. Protect ourselves. Saradomin - Banish all other gods. Understood. Protect followers. Zamorak - Go for what you want, do what you want, sort of individualistic, opportunistic philisophy. Understood. Armadyl - Will protect everyone following him? That's what all the others promise as well. Sliske - Uh... what? Unknown plans, questionable divinity. Zaros - It's been preordained, but his plans are beyond us. Not war or destruction anyway. The last three in particular are a big vague. The first five are good. I'd point out a couple of flaws there: Seren - Living in harmony with the world, give back more than you take, pacifist. Armadyl - Promising same peace and order Sara and Zaros ultimately want but not uber tiered boss around ur lessers do what ur greaters say that Zaros wants and not the im the one and only ultimate power and you will live peacefully or ill smite you Sara wants more everyone has an equal role and puepose to make peace together.

He said he was going to return home. Home =/= Gielinor. Nor does it mention the Edicts falling. [spoiler=Bandos]Bandos sends letters to every single Goblin clan that follows him, telling them that all the other clans are stockpiling weapons and are plotting to defeat them. Informs them to stockpile weapons and prepare to fight the others. Essentially, he's smarter than he looks--he wants constant bloodshed, even if it means killing his own followers. He abuses the goblins' stupidity against them. If you pay attention to the names, he doesn't do that at all. Though he is still douche. Tribe 1 - Gets told off for making a big gold statue and told to tear it down and research weapons. Tribe 2 - Gets told Tribe 1 are going against Bandos as they pulled the statue down and are making the weapons Tribe 3 - Gets praised for smushing tribe 1 & 2 off their own initiative, after 1 and 2 had fought and stealing the weapons. Urged to cross the mountains and seas to fight more. Tribe 4 - Get's reprimanded for trying to be diplomatic and refusing to fight Tribe 3 even after being given the same weapons tribe 3 has via tribe 1's work. [spoiler=Saradomin]A bunch of Icyene quarrel a bit about farming and stuff but Saradomin steps in and tells them to fight for him. Apparently they would prefer to be peaceful, but Saradomin motivates them to war. What a jerk. The Icyene are fighting rebels on their homeworld whilst Saradomin is away. A priest urges them to fight the rebels as Saradomin is finally returning (due to edicts). It's never a full out war and Saradomin never actually featured until the very end when he saved the writer from his depression. [spoiler=Zaros]A chronicle of Zaros' followers before and during the God Wars. As the godwars started, his followers retreated to the wilderness fortresses. Most of them died during the God Wars, but those that remained stayed true. The last part is his most senior follower, who realizes Zaros' true purpose---when he returns, he won't care about his previous followers. He will take interest in whoever will best execute his plan. He has no care for loyalty. Ends in a VERY interesting quote--that she sees a throne in a realm of shadows, but that noone sits on it. She says that he is there--in the nothingness. The empty throne is occupied by him--for he is the Empty Lord and rules without directly influencing. Apparently it implies that he has no real physical form, and never has. Not entirely true Zaros had ORIGINALLY surrounded himself with followers but was cast into the shadow realm by Zamorak stabby thing. The last follower realises Zaros has decided being surrounded by followers leads to betrayal so he is taking his control mantra further to be the unseen puppet behind everything utilising only a select few powerful allies. He still sent her a vision for being loyal and he hasn't abandoned anybody. [spoiler=Sliske]A bunch of tales talking about how the Desert Gods fought for Zaros, commanded by the Mahjarrat. Sliske's fighting style is described a lot, and he is generally called shadowy and deceitful. Nothing much about his current plans Seriously wtf did you read? The entire story is about the Kharidians and their gods fighting AGAINST the Zarosian forces and *finally* making headway when Icthalrin returned with the 'Stern Judges' aka the Mahjaratt. Let us not forget after all the Mahjaratt came to Gielinor as devotees to the Desert Pantheon and later abandoned them for Zaros before splintering to Zamorak. [spoiler=Seren]She and her followers originally came from a plane of Crystal (essentially giant crystal cities floating in space) Guthix forced her to leave the world when the Edicts were created--in a very angry way that had none of the love he once felt for her. She wanted only to protect her people and live without the influence of the warring gods--she had no part in the God Wars. She decides to comply with Guthix because of the love she still feels for him, and instead splits herself into billions of pieces of crystal to be used as weapons and tools by the elves. The elves want to bring all of these shards together to re-create her, or open the World Gate to go back to their world to try and summon her again. Seems like the most peaceful of the gods. Seren did anything but comply with Guthix, she exploded herself to actively defy him as being 'dead' she could not be expelled. Notable the Elves have ideas of how she might be restored but that does not neccessarily gurantee it will work. Added some comments because it bugged me how off base you readings were compared to what the books ACTUALLY say.

Armor Nerf or Monster Accuracy boost system?
This is correct. Best to skip them now, not even bots are killing them. Why would you? They give good slayer and range exp, and with a royal crossbow or even hand cannon, they aren't difficult to kill. They also generous with row drops. Bots aren't killing them because bots only melee in a dhelm and fighter torso with a whip. They need something to kill with that so unless it's a blue dragon I suspect a lot of botted monsters aren't botted anymore. Trudat and, if you are a bit poor and have trouble making money entirely you can bank-run all the ashes for some good profits.

True in part but the example you give only applies to speed mis-matched dual wield though, as the OH is forced to act at the same speed as the MH, which is kinda a non-issue seeing as OH attacks less anyway and its the MH that you really wanna pay attention to when prayer flicking and such. Timing wise you could do it BUT for the average player, heck even most metagamers I'd wager, you don't want to have some counter running (as a program, physical device or in your head) to count out fractional seconds to time your prayer flicks etc correctly and rely on the animations to give you the visual guide of when to act.

Silver Feedback (June)
This has no logic to it what so ever. By no definition of what has been said are Jmods or skills redudant. Skills each have their own purpose and use. Jmods are the staff of the studio that make the game exist. Pmods, in mine and others opinion, are redundant because the purpose they served no longer exists for the most part, as proven by Jagex strings and ass-all idea what to do with them. They have no real vital functionality or purpose and are therefore redundant, nothing like the jmods who have the very important purpose of doing their jobs to make them game and nothing like skills which each have a varied usage in the game. It matters that it is in-game because it exemplifies Jagex's inability to act and just put an end to something that is not working anymore, it also matters due to the stupid mutes and general corrupt mods the system harbours. Not to mention the attitude of being 'better' than average players that some mods seem to have ingrained and the wanna-be-mod behaviour it inspires in kids trying to get the crown. These, whilst not true of all mods, are detrimental to the game and the community. Plus it just looks bad to have a system and a 'rank' in place that serves next to no purpose.

The trouble is the animations are tied to speed (As other already covered). Unless you literally make 5 or 6 attack animation sets for every weapon you can't easily override them blindly ignoring speed. A slowest weapon over-ridden with a fastest the attacks animation vs the actual hits would get out of sync thus making timing things like abilities and prayer flicks a nightmare.
