  1. Relationship to Lumbridge Swamp for their resting places has no purpose. Guthix put the stone there looooooonnnnnnng after the Elder gods, he put it there after the Godwars and sealed it away with all his Guthixian puzzles and what not. In the Interim it had been at the Fist of Guthix, wherever Zamorak was using it from during the Godwars, wherver Saradomin used it from during the god wars, whereever the moonclan found it to invent magic and whereever guthix found it (on a hilltop) and carted it around with him.
  2. Tbf slayer does make reasonable profit per task from about 70 onwards. It's by no means gonna make ya super rich, but it does make money. As for tips 1) Use the best slayer master you can 2) Do not use only range & mage, if something has a melee weakness meleeing will get ya through it faster which will mean better slayer xp and cmb xp in the long run.
  3. I could see the climax of the god series coming to this. Maybe Jas will end up being the white wolf mountain (would slightly justify the living rock creatures. Where Ful might be I'm not entirely sure. I would like to think that these elemental beings as being quite huge. Conversing with them might only explicitly be done through a conduit such as tokhaar-hok. Jas would be Ice Mountain if it were used to explain the Living Rock Creatures.
  4. It's super deep in that they threw 4 godly concepts in as 'aspects of faith' opposed to ethos already tied to specific gods and threw caution to the wind with the application of godly colours in relation to said concepts. It's SOOOOOO deep its taking everything we know and love about the godly lore and throwing it out the window for no reason at all.
  5. We know that they all have 100% definitely killed another god OR spent a long time with an elder artefact. That is how one becomes a god. Bandos as a war mercenary type coulda easily killed a god, Seren I'd suspect perhaps was not a 'true' god when first hitting Gielinor but the whole Guthix romance would've given her time around his artefacts or perhaps something to do with the crystals has a source in artefacts. Tumeken I got no idea but he either killed a god or had an artefact for ages, I could imagine him killing he doesn't seem like an especially nice god. His two direct children are like gods of death and his dream aspects Het had a warrior training ground and Scarbas is deffo violent/evil ideas. Whilst we don't currently know for certain how they became gods we know they did, so we know in their backstory they killed a god or had an artefact. Plus we do know all 12 are going to end up on Gielinor, so that does leave 6 mystery artefacts that assorted gods presumably have or had and dropped before they left. I could imagine something like the Kharid-Ib transpiring to be one and it'd make sense for Tumeken to of had it. I could buy into Armadyl staff as a weather thing, it deffo has links to air runes from what we've seen, like coulda been used for creating the climates. Presumably it has to have a really good perfect world use, they left the cruddy tools behind on other worlds so we know the Stone, Horn, Staff and Kiln found on Gielinor had to be the awesome ones they decided to bring along. Whilst we know the Crown and Sword got left behind wherever Saradomin and Skargaroth found em. I really wanna know what the other 6 are.
  6. They are powerful because they are a god. The lore works that they either become powerful due to long term exposure to the artefacts (essentially it seems to be the absorb some of its power) or they essentially steal the power from the blood of another god. Obtaining the status of godhood is what makes them so powerful, the artefacts just effect them they same as they do us, such as the Stone of Jas supercharging the user or the Crown locating other artefacts. The proof of not needing to actively have the artefacts to be powerful lies in the fact that Guthix did not actually have any of the artefacts to hand (at least not functional) towards the end of his lifespan; yet he was still able to hold up the edicts shield thingy against all the others. Plus we actively know not all the artefacts are about pure power. The Stone of Jas is sure, but nothing about Saradomin's Crown, Staff of Armadyl, Skargaroth's Sword or the Elder Kiln actually mentions any sort of pure power given by it. The Crown just finds other artefacts, the sword can cut portals between worlds, the kiln makes the Tokhaar to build worlds and the staff does something we dunno despite the fact we (possibly) touched it in Temple of Ikov, as has Zamorak, Lucien and Sliske; the only suggestion we do have is it might act as a power transfer device - though in the context of the Elder Gods this doesn't seem all that likely and in the Zaros stabbing can be easily bypassed with the blood thing.
  7. False assumption is false. Gods become gods via the blood of a god OR long term exposure to an elder artefact. Having an elder artefact will amplify/modify their power in some way, just as it does for us. Nothing about them requires them to have an artefact to be powerful. Zamorak, to our knowledge, did not have the staff long term at all. Zaros got stabbed with it then Zamorak went away and the lore of Temple of Ikov etc would suggest Armadyl reclaimed the staff whilst Zamorak was away becoming a god. Zaros did not necessarily have the Frostenhorn - there has been a long time between his death and the present for it to of wound up in his old fortress; plus we do not even know it is an elder artefact - we only know one is a horn. Much of the god lore would imply many did not have artefacts Guthix was so powerful precisely because he had the sword and stone (and presumably the staff and horn too since he got here first) for a long time, this would suggest Zaros (Guthix only equal pre-stabby thing) perhaps had some long term, but it would also suggest most of the other gods had none or at least had none with enough power to really super charge them. In the whole lore there are only 3 gods we 100% know had artefacts for some time (Guthix, Saradomin and Armadyl) on the basis of them being named after them or other sources. We only know of 6 gods to have had at least brief contact with them for sure (Guthix, Saradomin, Armadyl, Zaros, Zamorak and Skargaroth). This from a set of at least 13 or 14 confirmed gods (Saradomin, Zamorak, Guthix, Bandos, Armadyl, Zaros, Seren, Tumeken, Marimbo, Tuska, Skargaroth, Un-named Fremmy God, Un-named Karamjan God and Brassica Prime).
  8. I kinda fell a bit 'meh' at the bookcase content. I mean sure a few bits are cool Jas and Ful and their 'powers' But most of that you coulda guessed, we already knew many of the artefacts were not on Gielinor to begin with (the crown and the sword) so we knew they must've been left behind. We knew some of the artefacts were kind a bit pants (hence left behind) - The sword doesn't do a whole lot (to our knowledge) and nor does the crown, arma staff seems to be rather weak too. Could've guessed the Kiln got moved since it is one of the artefacts and we know the Elder gods took them around to make new worlds. Anyway going by this picture and new descriptions: I guess the left is Jas since it's like a mountain and therefore Earth Middle gotta be Ful since fire Which leaves miss nature spirit thingy who still looks remarkable like the Dramen tree sprit so I reckon it's gonna be Dramen.
  9. Seriously thats the frigging solution!?!?! How on earth is that meant to of been easy to get - the mere fact you HAVE to get it all right to even know it's part right makes it insane let alone the fact it requires ring of stone and an insane amount of shards plus the ring to be empty & the shards to match frigging runedate. I'll wait til someone posts the bookcase info and enjoy tht way.
  10. 'the best gear available to them' =/= 'top tier items' What they said implies an association to the level the content is aimed at; if the dungeon came out as a level 60 piece of content 'the best gear availble' would mean dragon armour and its kin. Admittedly it is supposed to be 'high level' so I doubt lvl 60, but I'd think lvl 70-80 will be the targetted ballpark which would firmly palce their statement as GWD/barrows/Nex, but never the less the point still stands your claim of them saying it would need 'top tier armour' is invalid as they did not say it in the slightest - it is a false conclusion you have drawn by twisting their words and it is that kind of practice that leads to false expectations and claims Jagex 'lied' when they did not.
  11. It'd be nigh impossible for the range slayer dung to be a 'tank armour' dungeon anyways. For it to be a high level dungeon it has to have high end monsters that need t70+ gear to battle effectively. For it to be a high level dungeon specific to tank armour it needs monsters that hit SO hard *only* tank armour is viable - for this tot be the case they've gotta hit hard enough to need barrows/gano > GWD armour, which would fail as nex armour would still be better OR they need to hit SO hard only PoP is viable, which would likely sign a death warrant for it as being a waste of time. Not to mention this assume Jagex design works for more than a few hours when people suss out the best ways, not to mention the fact the defence difference between nex and pop is so minute you'd have to be talking pretty insanely high hits to warrant the extra slither of def. Also let us not forget that as it stands you don't even NEED tank armour for the top end bosses - for this dungeon to NEED it would require the monsters to be more deadly than KK, QBD, Nex etc. and that just does not make sense at the moment. Sure someday 'normal' monsters will likely surpass these current top end bosse, but as it stands there is a pretty big gulf between the likes of miths and gano beats that account for the current top 'normal' and even these guys and it doesn't make sense to leap frog that gap and more in 1 go. Also @above they never said the ranged dungeon would require top tier armour, they've literally said nothing about it.
  12. One of the main things to annoy me with this update is the water colours really Order = Sara Chaos = Zammy Battle = War = Bandos Fealty sort of amounts on Control (as in by giving fealty to someone you give them control of you) = Zaros Order is blue which is fine, but why is the bandosian one red, the zarosian one white and the zamorakian one purple? Also I find the gameplay of it a bit clunky the 'glowing orb' to show which bowl you can't use is barely visible and most of the time looks identical regardless of it's colour. The lack of a logical link between the bowl colours and the water they produce is also a bit awkward in my books. The attached lore seems stretched and un-runescapey. What to do to achieve the bones is poorly explained and even if people understand it the free for all nature of it is a bit awkward for achieving it, most worlds only seem to get orange consistently if they are either quiet or theres a solid group yelling at everyone wtf to do (like me and clannies did on w60 for like 4 hours yesterday) and notably 99% of those giving instructions and knowing wtf do are HIGH levels who in the long run won't even be there. It's a nice concept and for the first outting on a jmod it's not the worst we've seen, but to me it's not brilliant either - awkward lore, overly complex gameplay for the sake of it, stupidly narrow audience and various little grievances amount to a poor show imo. At the very least they could've made it f2p, I mean if your on p2p you can go do better methods regardless of level + I'd assume most scapers have surpassed much of the lower prayer levels this is aimed at before even getting p2p.
  13. ^Only a valid statement if your chosen money maker qualifies as an efficient money maker in the first place. Eg collecting feathers from chickens for money is by no means efficient.
  14. By sucking it up and doing it instead of giving up and starting a new account or quitting.
  15. Extra accounts don't really have many/any advantages because they are by rules not allowed to interact with each other. This means you can't use them for 'extra' ge slots and trade between them, even using a 3rd party. You can't use them to boost minigames. You can't even really use them as a scout in wildy all that well since you are not supposed to even log on to both at the same time.
  16. 1) 2h or DW - Though I think a few setups may utilise the spirit shields for proper high end stuff, but predominantly 2h and dw. 2) 2h or DW 3) 2h or DW, only ex exception being if you dont have super antifires for dragons and thus need the shield 4) 2h or DW 5) Entirely subjective, but lets say 1h and shield for giggles since it sucks everywhere else.
  17. I originally started in Feb 01, had many rubbish accounts that I quit quite quickly (and obsession with making bread) managed to dip in and out always missing the holiday events up until xmas eve 03 when I made my current account and stuck with it, got membs for the first time like ~oct 04 and never been bk to f2p since.
  18. If you don't plan to upgrade them they aren't worth keeping. If you do do the MA to upgrade them they rawk thanks to being 0.3% more crit (but obviously only in 1 style each) Though I'm fairly certain the time required to get the MA rank is not cost effective vs the boost they give, so only really worth doing if you have other reasons to do the MA rank (aka you want comp cape someday)
  19. Dang that crashed hard. When I cashed in just after the armour tweaks it netted 30m.
  20. Is it not redundant to note an item is NOT needed, when the logical assumption would be that if an item IS needed the tip would specify such? Eg the tip does not say after the quest you can make illuminated prayer books by bringing any prayer book and gold leaf to... It only says you need to take a prayer book implying you only need a prayer book.
  21. How is having a useful icon more sloppy than having an icon that you 100% know does not exist and technically has no purpose?
  22. Unless you got the mils upon mils for Drygores melee based = no go. In EoC to maximise kills and xp and such you really ought to use all 3 classes as a minimum. Ideally you'd follow most of the weaknesses more exactly, though it's not entirely vital for most things.
  23. ^ I thought it had been established the +100 traits > +1% because +1% would require a 10,000+ stat to be 100+
  24. And yet you can't spot your bad ports setup  Just kidding Urza But he's not a mile away from himself so he can't spot his own bad ideas! But you miss Kimberly got all the wins today.
  25. That Nexus vid made me go a bit 'eh' Why must wall beasts by a symptom of something 'wrong'? It sounds like the mod had a really odd idea of what wall beasts are and ran with it; I always just thought wall beasts are a trap laying predator type kinda akin to them spiders that hide under little rocks etc. Also the tentacle hand things just seem weird in my book, plus the description of HOW you use it sounds strange, why would you collect the corruption to purify to pour back in? Surely it'd make more sense to i dunno just bless the water to pour pure holyness down on it? Also I'm kinda like why Lumby swamp? This is supposed to be a relatively desolate place that Father Urheny (sp) moved to for peacefully solidtude. The ellpy shed/zanaris entrance being hidden away there too. The fact he now lives right next door to this thing is a bit wtf? Couldn't corruption been seeping out near Draynor (where its clearly corrupted) or just over the border from Morytanina (eg the edicts gone the block is starting to leak) And I agree she sounds like she doesn't understand wtf prayer ACTUALLY does at all, either shes really out of touch with the game (wouldn't surprise me with expanded team, they can't all be players some gotta just be 'doing a job') OR they are feeding them PR bs scripts for the intros to the latest videos (it has annoyed me no end that lately they explain the skill/game at the start of vids it's like yeah we know already! Especially since half the time they are awkward and very clearly polished pr pieces that don't quite fit with whats in-game. I get that Jagex is trying to market themselves better, but many of these latest pr moves just kinda irk me. They are polishing the pr too much, to the extent where some of it can be called outright lies, which just is not good. But then it's not too surprising with the obvious pr bs they fed us on controversies over the years. "We added buyable spins cause you all love sof so much!" Erm NO 90% of us moaned about it being annoying & the design very obvious had space for these buttons in the first place. "We know you've complained about sof but our stats show that 99% of people are enjoying it as they use their daily spins" erm NO that shows we use it to make the button go away. Few months later "I never said people enjoyed it, only that they used it." Erm NO you said the exact opposite. Few months later "We were making a lose til we added these new payment models" Oh FINALLY you tell us what we all knew. Few months later webzine pr thing "We added sof and soloman because players wanted another way to support us and they were very popular with the playerbase right away" SJFJEFBHWFBU NO, just no. Of course OSRS wasn't much better either 'we wanna do a poll to gauge interest for a few months down the line'...poll starts to flat line SPAM TEH ADS EVERYWHERE and put it front page...poll flat lines again, move the tiers!...and again oh btw we spent like a million hours so we can have it up this weekend...oh look results say it should have a fee...HAVE IT FOR FREE! Oh and btw we aren't gnna explain why but the biggest quest ever is delayed and heres stuff about OSRS, cause clearly those million hours we spent getting it running did not in any way effect the quest release... I think Jagex needs to learn to give us some credit, we can usually see through their pr bs and they also need to learn quite quickly to be HONEST. If they had told us day 1 of sof we are changing this rule and bringing this in cause this is the way the games market is moving and we have been making loses a good 75% of the rage woulda been avoided. With OSRS don't give us a poll and then mess with it part way through quite obviously when the votes are failing either give it low tiers to start with since you obviously want it passed OR just skip the poll and give us it. Anyway I've gone a bit off-point so I'll stop now lol.
