Tbf their 'thanks to html5' things need to be taken with a pinch of salt. They say 'html 5' when they really mean 'the newly recoded game engine whose big selling point is the html 5 mode but also adds new functionality to the game regardless of html5 or java run'

I think they are trying to get away from the idea that getting around easily should be a high level luxury with low levels relegated to menial walking. All of the best ways to get around still require effort, lodestones just offer a more basic means to bypass all the walking

The rule for AHK has always been '1 input to 1 output' That means 1 button can move the mouse 1 can left click 1 can right click But 1 can't do all 3.

Maxed Players Banned (500m - 2.1bil total xp)
What I love about his story is that he didn't even pick a viable skill to be 'power training' enmass. I mean even if you DO use all the plots to 'power farm' you've still got like ~1 hour down time between each run and then pittance of xp for the lesser plots means they'd only make a few k difference from just doing tree runs. Farming is like the one skill no-lifing is literally pointless for.

^I feel like the 'paths system' is something you've made up from fragments of information and quite possibly over complicated since we've not been told of any such thing. My main take away was no mentioned of a friday bts vid, so no update week?

^I coulda sworn ages ago they said they are aware some keybinds cause crashes but they aren't concerned with fixing it because keybinds is to do with the interface not the game engine AND the NIS team are re-writing keybinds entirely anyway.

Continuous digging happens if you repeatedly stun and it can't hit someone after popping up Double green happens if you repeatedly stun. You need to pick better teams :P Got a few kills, 16,665 slayer xp each now, and minions popping up where you're standing hits 2k+, so... Not fun. I finally get a kalphites task then this happens. -.- My competency at KK aside, if a boss is going to punish my use of the only tactical element of EoC by instantly ending my trip with a double unblockable and inescapable 1hko, it should at least tell me what I did wrong. Surely it is not punishing you for using tactics, it is instead punishing for trying to bypass the tactics by continually stunning thereby causing double green and excess hitting. There is more tactics in working as a team to stun him, but not over stun him than there is in just spamming stuns.

Ok so Mod Avatar posted saying gilded had some 'unresolved issues' and will be out next week - I think this is pr speech for 'bugger we forgot them' He also said Adze isn't on due to extra functions, which though annoying is understandable. I don't see why the cannon update is anything to rave about since cannon sucks anyway. As for toolbelt, I'd like to commend Jagex on doing a great job and managing to implement all the simple extras people have long been asking for...as long as you ignore inferno adeze...and gilded picks...and magic secs...and magic watering can...and jeweled machetes. I mean really? All of the above conform to the non-depleting thing, the only remotely complexity there would be tweaks to allow inferno adeze to function for fm and to make magic secs work unwielded.

Well my black friends use the n-word all the time and my gay friends use the f-word all the time, and I'm relatively sure they don't discriminate against their own race and sexual orientation respectively, so... >_> If you think gays don't self discriminate you've not been near enough gays. The gay community is one of the most divided, self-hating, self-defeating groupings ever in my experience and so many ridiculously un-accepting folks within it. You get "normal" types ranting about camp/feminine guys giving gays a bad name and that being gay means liking men so stop being a woman. You get others talking absolutely derogatory filth about how trans or drag queens ruin it for everyone and are freaks. You get camp-sorts deriding 'Straight acting' as ruining it all for everyone as they are 'acting' to try and fit in thus perpetuating the idea that gay is not normal. There's often rampant bi-phobia around the ideas that bi people are greedy, indecisive, cheaters by nature and that it doesn't really exist. Worse than girly trash mags about slagging off body-image and others ideas. And all this and more is covered several times a day in the blogs/forums on mosy gay social networks. It is ridiculous how intolerant and, in many ways, outright homophobic a great swathe of the gay community can be of their own dam community never mind the usual sprinkling of sexism and racism and all that stuff that any given community is likely to contain some of.

Slow things are the bane of my existence in rs lately. Off-topic tangent: I kinda wanna attempt to get to a point where I can earn max, comp and comp t all with a single level up. 10 total non-skill/music requirements left - Cwars, chompies, champ scrolls, top end tackle box all being included in this. Plus of course since EoC finding folks to finish up collector rank for BA 4/4 is a nightmare.

^ Nah it's deffo a bug with the 2 hour drydock time. Standing in port when ships come in I've had 1hr and 3+ hours go to drydock whilst 2 hours drydocks entirely skip. Equally having ships due in ~1am and not checking them til like 8am or so I've had 1 hour and 3+ hour drydocks start whilst 2 hours just don't happen. Until you complete the failed voyage (by checking the ship) it does not start the 'ship repairs' voyage which is the drydocks.

Which would be highly useful if lifepoints were anywhere close to being an issue, which they are not, or if shield abilities were really needed to dg well, which they are not.

Maxing
If only the nerf hadn't made warbands a huuuugggge pita and rare to actually get out with supplies unless you are prepared to go all out pker and potentially lose some high value gear. For crafting and firemaking I'd add do clan citadel weekly cap if you can, both give out pretty decent xp and aren't too slow considering they are free. By no means the top tier of training but free xp at a reasonable speed is always nice. From like 85-ish+ with 3 fealty and a t7 loom crafting can net around 250k xp a week in citadels.

The fact toolbelt update only seems to be the axe/pick thing mildly disappoints me. Was hoping for atleast magic watering can to make it on. Interested to see what other tweaks they are doing though.

As soon as you see the wheel spinning and the row of prizes it has picked what you are winning, the graphics of the wheel slowing etc are meaningless and are pre-rigged to land on the prize it already picked for you.

I think a solution to such boss difficulty issues would be going more down the instanced route that way you can do one or two things to keep bosses appropriate. You can use instancing to forcefully block out over-stated players, so they just cannot go in. You can use it to create state vacuum of sorts, so your levels and gear is nerfed downwards to appropriate for the boss. You can make the monster, much like dg bosses, spawn at different strengths according to who is in the team. I suppose it wouldn't even HAVE to use instances eg GWD boss room doors. Option 1 of above just straight up block entry. Option 2 of above apply the nerf within the room. Option 3 of above just before a monster respawns check the average of those in the rooms to pick strength - so if a load of 200s rushed in on a bunch of 80s it'd jack the difficulty up on the next spawn. Of course option 3 would only work in the context of a door like GWD where there is some form of 'cooldown' to prevent people hopping out just before spawn to weaken it.

^I think just because a word HAS lost it's meaning and people use it casually doesn't mean we should just accept it being used as such and move on. People shouldn't be allowed to use gay (in the derogatory sense), the f-word or the n-word among others without being called on it in my book because just because you and others may be desensitised to its true meaning doesn't alter the fact it is a derogatory term and using it causally makes it seem acceptable and less of an issue when people use it in genuinely offensive ways. But equally I dunno if it ever can be truly 'solved' because the idea of someone being a girl or lacking balls based on good old fashioned sexism hasn't been gotten rid of and that it like hundreds of years more outmoded in terms of equality issues than homophobia and racism. If Jagex wants to mute for that kind of thing, I'm glad. It is kind for the betterment of humanity if using words in such context can be curbed as a habit in people.

Misplaced seems to of done (48*37)*60 But that doesn't work as, for example, lets say we have 2m squares of wood, we make a 2x2 square (so it is 4m x 4m) Misplaced math: 2x2=4 4x2m=8m^2 Real math 4mx4m=16m^2 Using the real math you get 6,393,600 squares. Now a real globe we have 360 degrees of longitude and 180 of latitude. So in minutes 21600 longitude and 10800 latitude. When you multiple that out you actually get: 233,280,000 possible game squares to complete the world map. Working that out our current area is 2.7% of the possible world map. Of course this is all theoretically based on the assumption Gielinor's measurements conform to our own. Edit: I still can't for the life of me see where Misplaced got 25% from before. 7,776,000/100 = 77,760 106,560/77,760 = 1.4 (When rounded) Conversely if we do some bad math that I know some people fall in to with the whole decimal/fraction/percent conversions: 7,776,000/106,560=73 Though of course that wouldn't be 73% that'd be 106,560 = 1/73th of 7,776,000 and 100/73 = 1.4 for the percent. Even missing a 0 off one of the numbers still gives 13.7%
