  1. Or just put it to a set rotation. So it does like pink egg, blue egg, green egg, stripy egg, pink egg, blue egg...
  2. We do not know we have touched the horn, since there is no confirmation yet as to precisely what the horn is. Also I'd question your definition of a demigod - All the known demigods are children of a god being they biological (Ictharlin and Amascut) or children created from the mind (Het, Crondis, Ampken, Scarabas) and notably the dream ones are weaker plus its feasible that the dream 4 aren't true demigods just powerful immortals. I don't think anything has actually outright said they are demigods (not 100% though)
  3. Thats narrow minded. If the means to gamble exists people will gamble regardless of some token mass-ban. Exactly the same as it works with botting and gold farming. The only way to remove them is to punish them in line with the rules AND remove the means to gamble; it's why Jagex bot efforts have been largely unsuccessful in eradicating the problem. They have the bannings and the rules but their tech updates to remove bot functionality is still behind bot technology. Some token banning today won't suddenly make people stop do it in the long term, it might discourage some short term but given a few weeks and hosts and layers would be back flouting the rule in to great a number for enforcement to be entirely effective.
  4. It's a tricky one for sure. I'm kinda on the fence as to where he falls now, but I like my later listing the best now. With the exception that Tumeken would be in ascending or lesser if he is edict effected. The tier sub-edict is needed though for Brassica Prime since it is a confirmed god (even in most recent QA) and could appear during Edict times.
  5. My main issue is where Tumeken goes. On the one hand he is described as a god and the origins of gielinor very clearly shows his silhouette when showing 'gods trying to get back in' Yet at the same time they say the desert pantheon was entirely unaffected by the edicts. Thinking about it more I'd be tempted to do: Elders: Jas/Dramen(?) etc. Supremes: Guthix (pre death Zaros) Gods: Zaros/Saradomin/Zamorak/Tuska/Skagaroth etc. Lesser Gods: Bandos/Seren/Armadyl Ascending Gods: Marimbo/Karamjan Gods/other minor gods ---Limit of the Edicts--- Minor Gods: Tumeken (Brassica Prime) Demigods: Ictharlin/Amascut/Het/Crondis/Scarabas/Ampken
  6. What about Zamorak, Seren and Marimbo? Plus lore suggests Zaros was equal to if not more powerful than Guthix, however they also mentioned via the killing thing Zaros will be weakened now putting him equal with Zammy. Also the Elder gods are the top tier. I think it'll be more like: Elder Guthix (And pre-death Zaros) Tuska, Skagaroth etc. (basically all the older gods) Saradomin, Zamorak, Zaros (the younger/weakened gods) Bandos, Seren and Armadyl (the lesser gods with smaller followings) Tumeken, Marimbo, Karamjan God, Brassica Prime (the even lesser gods with very narrow followings) Demigods (Amascut, Ictharlin, Het, Crondis, Scarabas, Ampken)
  7. I think one misconception people seem to have with the God of x things: It is NOT a descriptor of their powers directly; it is their ethos of HOW people should live and why. And in order to achieve this Ethos they may not live by the same rules as they set their people eg Sara wants peace and love and all tht but he knows he can kiss-ass if needs be to sort it out. Zaros as God of Control means his ethos is that everything should be controlled so people know their place and stick to it; which is a fine line away from Saradomin's order - everything should have a place and a purpose but theres room to move around and its more self regulated than a strict line of command. Zamorak's Chaos means he thinks everyone should be left to their own devices essentially - murder, betrayal, hardwork it doesn't matter how you do it as long as you do it. Armadyl's Justice - there is a set of rules governing everything and justice will be served if they are breached, but aside from that do as you please. Bandos War - proving self through battle etc.
  8. Yeah, it makes sense, I'm just not sure what to think of that explanation. On one hand, it's a fairly unique approach to one and they've actually made it work. On the other, it works more or less the same way as a 'vanilla' universe (with some fairly ridiculous flavor, if you know a bit about astronomy), and they could just use the abyss in the same way that other fantasy uses planes. I guess it depends on what they do. The abyss could actually be pretty unique, if they gave it some attention. Well, they've been saying the pocket dimension thing for a lot of time, so that explanation makes sense; now it's easy to say in what context they used the term dimension (non-escalating term, meaning they used it in the context of other universe). Turns out it's a mix of both, small worlds with their own natural laws within one universe, and other universes with their respective small worlds and natural laws, which might be different. Now, it should be fun to try and determine in which universe each world is; I guess we can rule out of Gielinor's Universe any world that doesn't follow the same natural laws (such as runecraft altars, or that golden mine with rocks flying around). Gotta love how they just keep leaving more and more doors open for future content lol... Your muddling your references pocket dimensions or pocket realms has only ever been used in relation to the rune crafting altars and the runespan - they are minute as far as the eye can see alternate dimensions created around a particular thing - eg the runecrafting altars or the wizards guild. And most importantly they have all been self created by creatures (directly or indirectly) This theorem is to do with the broader home worlds of species as created by the Elder Gods. Eg Saradomins seat of powere where Icyene came from, the Avianse home world, Frenaskae, Kethsi, Goblin home world, Guthix homeworld.
  9. Thats the thing though. He didn't. if he was such a control freak he wouldn't have let any of his follower get strong enough to the point where they could actually pose a threat to him. And would have known to keep on guard because all of his strongest followers would have been constantly trying to break free of his control. Power fits better then control. Dragonriders- lend your power to my armies and i'll give you power to continue your lineage. demons/vampires- help me and i'll give you power over any mortal race who tries to defy me. marahajatt- help me and you'll each be given your own kingdom free from the constant warring of your home world. But Zamorak only killed him because he was one of the most trusted and favourite generals via clever manoeuvring and he stabbed him in the back, literally. There was no battle or chance for Zaros to oppose him or stop him. Just because you have control doesn't mean you can't be blind-sighted. And no matter how he controlled them all he still did it. He had control of the demons and the dragon riders and the mahjarrat and the vyres etc. Plus their god of status is to do with their ethos for life. Zaros ethos is to do with controlling the lesser beings for the greater future. They don;t have to be the ultimate embodiment of their ethos, they are still fallible people.
  10. Its a video game. You're on private property, you follow the rules of the property owner. It is that black and white. I feel like he's trying to make some philosophic point about the world not being black and white - it's just a shame it fell short of the mark because he based it off a dodgy premise (the obeying of authority). Because, well, obeying authority (that has genuine power over you in some respect eg service provider, game provider, law, boss etc.) is black and white - you obey or disobey and if the later you face the consequences.
  11. Marimbo isn't Karamajan - he's the monkey god. Mod Osbourne specifically said the Tokhaar, opposed to the Kiln, but then in many ways to Tokhaar are the living embodiment of the lava from the kiln - so is there really a finite line between the Tokhaar and the kiln? As for the Thzaar its a curious one but I'd say there's nothing special about them vs the Tokhaar - They just splintered off and lost some memories. They are still essentially the same race genetically and they still require the lava of the kiln to survive (BoE the turning off of that conduit of the Kiln was killing them) and they have the same powers and creatures, just slightly weakened as they have been out of the lava too long. I think of Thzaar and Tokhaar as kind of like an American vs a Brit. They are fundamentally the same species and have the same conditions of life, they just have superficial differences derived from culture. And Control totally makes sense - Zaros commanded a massive empire and a whole host of powerful races precisely because he had great control and enforced order brutally upon that empire. I mean just look at how his races and empire splintered and in fought without him, the lack of control really ruined them. Plus do not forget Zaros was an exceptionally powerful god - equal or possibly even greater than Guthix in power. He certainly had the means to control such volatile races.
  12. This is a downright crazy explanation, time will tell if it's the kind that's just crazy enough to work. Makes sense though and it does kinda iron out the issue we had where everything was shown as a universe but had multiverse references.
  13. But the coin of balance doesn't say anything in public does it? So it's hardly practical.
  14. They don't need to disable any other methods. The message has clearly been given that it is NOT wanted and is against the rules. Hell... why not use one of those annoying login popups to explicitly state it. That way there is no excuse for anyone to play the naieve card. Anyone caught doing it now risks instant ban or mute and the punishments now need to come down harsh not only on the hosts but also the players participating. Do so at own risk. Using that logic, we'd have no troubles with macroing, gold farming, scamming, spamming... Yet the game still evolves to combat each of these. Why should this rule be any different? Because it is very very easy to spot people running gambling games compared to bots, especially when they rely on specific items or locales that are not widely used in day-to-day scaping. Plus I'd be interested to know what these random things are? I can't think of any left that have any practicality too them.
  15. There's everything wrong with gambling if it's not within the context of the game. There's no reason for gambling to be part of this type of game. If you really want to gamble why not just go to a site that has.....gambling on it? I agree that forum mods should have an opinion but if that opinion is against gaming morals in general then you should keep that opinion to yourself. Gambling addiction is a problem in general and a game of this type doesn't need to either start people in that direction or exacerbate the problem. I do not play an adventure game to gamble, I want to play a fantasy game. Inb4 posters with no responsibility for children do the usual mocking 'think of the children' routine. But gambling has pretty much always been part of RS - the duel arena is a form of gambling and always has been. Gamble rewards at BA. Rat Pits. And I'm sure theres more I'm forgetting. Heck one could even argue monster hunting and questing without a guide are forms of gambling - you are gambling your gear, resources and time against victory and/or valuable loot, even pking is a branch of gambling. There's nothing wrong with gambling being in RS at all, it's always been there. The only problem is the unregulated often RWT and scam linked player-player gambling.
  16. Bits I liked from the big Lore QA 1) Ancient mage should soon have it's old names back. 2) Karamajan god will be central to a lot of upcoming story 3) Theres 1 god who used to be a Gielinor mortal that we dont have back story to yet. 4) Theres a god whose name appears more than once of the world map that we dunno about at all yet (My personal theory is Avarrocka or Ardougne - Ardy cause it appears twice Avarrocka cause they've built it like 3 times! First at the digsite, then at current local then rebuilt at current local as Varrock) 5) The Elder Twelve mostly have built in defence mechanisms akin to the Stone having the Dragonkin 6) The Tokhaar have been reconfirmed as one of the 12, meaning we know 6 for sure (staff, sword, horn, stone, crown, tokhaar) 7) Mortals can become gods by spending a lot of time around elder artefacts 8) There are more than 3 Elder Gods and they are elemental (as seen in the vid) - but only the 3 are associated with Gielinor - also an Elder god other than Jas is specifically mentioned in the lore already. (Totally Dramen I reckon) 9) There are currently 7 tiers of God that Jagex have worked out BTS, each with at least 1 god in them 9a) They mentioned Amascut is a demigod, which is the lowest tier of godhood, though she is a strong demigod. 9b) They also mentioned Zamorak is an ascending god 9c) They said the desert Pantheon was entirely unaffected by the Edicts 9d) So we got at least 5 tiers of god right there - Demigod, Tumeken's level somewhere between the demis and the gods, Ascending gods, gods, elder gods 9e) I'd speculate the missing levels are possibly splitting 'gods' into the 'younger gods' and the 'old gods' and perhaps 'new god' or something for gods that have just been made and have yet to start ascending (eg gathering more godly power) 10) Apparently Seren took 'extreme measures' to avoid the Edicts 11) Explanation of the universe/multiverse thing - Swiss Cheese. Each hole is a universe with a solar system or two and a few planets, the cheese itself is the void known as the abyss which we utilize for teleportation. 12) All the Elder Twelve are going to end up in Gielinor eventually and will be important to coming events (though the tokhaar won't be included story-wise) but the 'majority' already are here ergo there has to be at least 1 more we dunno of to give 7/12 (I'd guess the enchanted key based on previous qa randomly mentioning it) 13) Zaros confirmed as the God of Control (sidebar: woot all my years of theory kinda right I always said 'might' which is kinda the same thing roughly) 14) Daelyt Ore highlights a weakness of Vampyres/Vyres 15) The Bloodline of the Vyrelords and Icyene is complicated - heavy implications they come from the same source. 16) Guthix is so powerful despite being a relatively new god because he stabbed Tuska, killed Skargaroth and had a long time alone with the sword, staff, horn and stone (which is the most powerful artefact) to basically supercharge him. 17) Brassica Prime is a real god, but not one who will be further explored 18) Duel Arena is currently being overhauled (at least graphically) and the overhaul will bring lore and design elements that explain who built it and why.
  17. Fair enough I honed it down to: 1 - Slice - Dismember - Sever - Decimate - Havoc - Assault - Destroy - Massacre - Guthix's Blessing 2 - Slice - Dismember - Sever - Smash - Cleave - Assault - Hurricane - Overpower - Guthix's Blessing 3 - Piercing - Frag - Needle - Dazing - Ricochet - Rapid fire - Bombardment - Deadshot - Guthix's Blessing 4 - Wrack - Combust - Sonic Wave - Chain - Dragonbreath - Wild magic - Asphyixate - Omnipower - Guthix's Blessing Leaves 3 empty spaces (4 if you count guthix as an empty space) to play with for any items/prayers/watever i may wanna throw on there for special situations. I know I got needle and dazing shot on ranged bar, but I can deal with that without being confused especially as it keeps my numbers balanced and ranged I end up swapping between 2h and dual a lot (arrow vs bolt) Mage I ditched concentrated blast since I don;t even have dual wield mage weps and I can't see any benefit to acquiring them when I I got arma bstave and can easily grab chaotic if I want tht extra dps, where as best I'd do wand wise would be the t70 stuff.
  18. By staying in combat; unless your doing some of the slow spawning bosses keeping adr up isn't necessary. And even at them bosses I'd question whether the effort of using 2 slow cooldown moves to try and sustain adr is really all that worth it.
  19. Because if they didn't the GE would go from h/c x2 spam land to egg x2 spam
  20. Right so my 4 bars are now (I like having 2 melee since they vary so much in thres/ult for dual vs 2h) 1 - Slice - Dismember - Sever - Decimate - Havoc - Assault - Destroy - Flurry - Frenzy - Massacre - Guthix's Blessing 2 - Slice - Dismember - Sever - Smash - Cleave - Assault - Hurricane - Quake - Pulverise - Overpower - Guthix's Blessing 3 - Piercing - Frag - Needle - Dazing - Ricochet - Snap - Rapid fire - Bombardment - Deadshot - Unload - Guthix's Blessing 4 - Wrack - Combust - Concentrated Blast - Sonic Wave - Chain - Dragonbreath - Wilde magic - Asphyixate - Omnipower - Tsunami - Guthix's Blessing The ults are there just because, sometimes nice to have tht little finishing shot for a dg boss or w/e (though I know they largely useless); Guthix blessing just because it seems like a handy emergency trigger 40% heal in 10 secs, especially for dg where u may wanna conserve food. Obviously amendments can be made to end slots like if using a shield or if I need fast prayer swaps, the early half is the main thing.
  21. Gambling may still exist, but they stomped out the vocale issue and any minor obscure work arounds are totally stamp-able now thanks to the amended rules. So win-win in my book. Of course they can never entirely eradicate something, but this is certainly going to derail it into a dark and dingy corner of people who knowingly break rules - especially since they specified the rule allows action against both hosts and players of any such game.
  22. With recent tweaks and stuff I really got lost on what these are now. Can anyone advise on the best basic rotations for: 2h Melee Dual Melee Mage Range I'm assuming for mage and range the 2 new ones in each (1 2h and 1 dual) can just be switched subject to 2h vs dual where as melee has enough to do more dramatically different setups. Preferably no dragonbreath for mage, I never seem to be in range for it, but if its a must so be it.
  23. ^ There is an official 'hack' in the runescape wiki that tells you how to modify the client to load 07scape.
  24. Classic is shut, you can only use it if you logged in at a time when it was open. 07scape is currently free to all members for til summer, after that (if jagex keeps its word) you will have to pay an extra fee. You start from ground 0 on all games, they are entirely independent for stats and bank, but your username will remain the same on all games. Classic is buried somewhere on the site, 07scape has a front page 'play old school' button. All 3 are entirely separate games, you have to load them separately and they run different applets - 2 dont even have the lobby.
  25. Well yes. All the original races are created by the Elder Gods. Tokhaar, Dragonkin, Human, Fairy, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Nargi (sp?) etc. That is how everything in the Runescape universe/multiverse came to be. Of course theres a sprinkling of newer beings created by the normal Gods and other races eg Dragonkin made QBD KBD and the dragons.
