Where are all the good guides?
Its not the disappearance of good guides its the outdating of them - creating such guides for what is essentially entirely new combat system takes time and isn't aided when Jagex keeps making further tweaks and throwing in new hide end gear. I mean sure most major monster hunters have a rough idea of how to play them now, but some get turned on their head in an instant with minor 'tweaks' and theres not really the same honed refinement of the generally accepted method as there once was. I mean heck for GWD boss alone they been tweaked like twice since EoC launch and since TWW there's talk of them possibly having their TWW specials added on. Just my two cents.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
I don't think the 'god of...' descriptors really hold true anymore as anything other than an idealised notion the followers have. It would be an interesting twist, but compared to Saradomin that had a relative blank slate Zamorak already has a fair bit of the backstory there - power hungry, dissatisfied with status basically led a rebellion to overthrow the god he had followed by stabbing him in the back (quite literally as the story goes) then having ascended to godhood and driven Zarosians underground alongside the other gods turned around and basically backstabbed them for more power. So would be kinda hard to retcon in a twist that makes him a 'good guy' for that part of his story.

Also in RS history there have been other non-god fuelled wars/battles. Pest Wars. The war when the Fremmy's tried to wipe out magic. The elves civil war type affair. etc.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
It was the Elder Gods masterpiece, entirely perfect like a garden of eden. However that was before Guthix brought elves, humans, dwarves, fairies and possibly a few others in and then other gods followed with other races and battles and the god wars destroyed much of the land. The key phrase is it WAS their perfect creation, the state it is in now however...

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
My pure speculation on the matter is that it was precisely because Gelinor (I think it didn't) didn't have any inhabitants that it attracted the interest of the Gods. It meant that they could fashion Gelinor to suit their own purposes, whereas other worlds often (but not always) were filled with bloody wars (like Guthx's homeland) which would require a considerable effort to conquer. Also, it's possible that they were aware of the ancient energies of the Elder Gods (like the Stone of Jas) residing in Gelinor. I'd say it's pretty clear why the gods have interest in Gielinor: 1) They all want a world they can dominate as their own - Gielinor was a particularly beautiful world ripe for the taking as it was 'perfect' creation of the Elder Gods 2) They want Elder Artefacts and are searching them out - we know Gielinor had 3 of these lying around on it, including a stone that basically supercharges anyone who touches it. 4 when you account for the Sword Guthix brought with him. 3) The Crown seeks out artefacts - this would draw Saradomin in straight away. 4) The Crown attracts users of other artefacts - this would cause other gods to follow 5) Other gods without artefacts KNOW Sara has the crown and therefore follow him to try and get one.

I find Urza flawed in the sense he is working with a multiverse not a universe. It's not a multiverse its a universe - As seen in Origins of Gielinor these worlds are separate planets - multiverse traversing is only what Fairies were doing from their moon. Of everything we have seen or been told thus far the Gods haven't particularly been multiverse travellers. Only the fairies on their original home moon have been given this accolade, and in Gielinor that form of travel seems some what questionable - certainly the fairy rings have been able to send us to some pocket realms but they don't seem to be multiversing. Plus whilst gods CAN move between planets it is not implied to be all that easy or instantaneous In the Guthix memories the portal through which Saradomin emerged took time to form. Where as with the sword Guthix was able to instantly open a way to another world. Saradomin's easy return is because he stayed nearby; hence the prevalence of his followers still + as mentioned in the FAQ the other gods are either way away (eg Armadyl who left before the banishment due to sad face at avianse dead) or other things stand in their way (eg Zaros needs a new body). I agree with the idea that the swords power is what helped Guthix banish the gods, but it certainly isn't the sword he actually used in the act of doing so. But also the sword doesn't NEED to have any extra powerful hidden thing about it - it is specified the Elder Artefacts are tools for small scale sculpting and perfecting of worlds they aren't meant to be super mighty destroyer things. The Sword is perfect for this purpose as it allows, as Guthix did, to open portals to populate new worlds from old ones. The Crown doesn't do much either - it just locates artefacts and draws users of artefacts to it, like a basic gps thing so they remember where they left them. The Stone does seem insanely powerful and dangerous (which is kinda the odd one out), but note it also has an inbuilt security system in the Dragonkin to try and stop it being abused. The others we know of (staff and horn) we have no idea what they actually do. If we guessed the horn correctly it's just a simple power amplifier (like a stone of jas pre runner perhaps) and the staff we literally have no idea - the memories show are elder thing can kill a god and that the power transfer is in the blood so the staff isn't for that.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
If you watch the origins of gielinor videos he stabs the wildy crater sword into the ground when he banishes the gods and it seemed to then radiate out that god blocking shield. It seems to me as if, using the power of the Stone and the Sword Guthix created this new sword that threw the gods out and put up the shield, but it still directly drew on his power. Plus I don't think the 'he stabbed the skargaroth sword to do it' thing makes sense. The two swords look nothing alike and are not even remotely similar sizes. Oh and @debate of Bandos proved male because of use of 'god' - god can be gender neutral OR male, where as goddess is specifically female. Eg the Pantheon of Desert Gods includes both Gods and Goddesses. - The first gods is gender neutral, whilst the 2nd specifically invokes Tumeken, Icthalrin, Het, Crodis and Scarabas Or you could tell an elf 'You worship your god and I'll worship mine' - Gender neutral but refers to Seren the female god. I'm surprised this even came up, I mean most words of a similar vein use the same basic concept. Eg Waiter is gender neutral or male, Waitress is specifically female. Priest is gender neutral or male, Priestess is specifically female. Bob can be a God, a Priest or a Waiter, but not a Goddess, a Priestess or a Waitress. Betty can be a God, a Priest, a Waiter, a Goddess, a Priestess or a Waitress.

I'm fairly sure there isn't and I tend to have a bordering on photographic memory with lore stuff; but I'm not entirely infallible.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
As far as I recall Bandos has never been referred to as 'he' specifically. However the war-theme (uh-oh gender stereotyping), predominantly male force of his creatures (I mean other than Zanik & Orgeresses they are like all male seemingly) and the look of the avatar + the potential Bandos in the origins video all sort of led to the assumption of it being a he. (Though oddly enough to my mind Armadyl has always been a she, though again I don't think anything has actually given a definite he/she answer) In terms of the Guthix balance craze 3 female to 3 male would make sense - with Tumeken and Saradomin being definite males, Seren being definite female. Ignoring Zamorak since hes outside the 'original' setup. That'd leave Zaros, Bandos, Armadyl as 1 male, 2 female. Though I doubt this would hold true with any real solidity. I mean Tumeken is still partially questionable as being on-par with the others (thought his silhouette in the origin of gielinors vid suggests he might be, just with fewer worshippers) and of course there is still the issue of Marimbo's level of godhood + any other Jungle or Fremmy gods as yet unrevealed.

Fitness Tips?
Well running your figures through a BMR calc comes out at 1856 Calories a day burnt for doing nothing. Given that figure I'd question whether you actually ought to be trying to lose weight at all or if your figures are incorrect. I mean at your 'ideal weight' (according to bmi) BMR is usually around 2,000 so a result of 1856 for BMR makes it sound like you are right where you should be or even a smidge underweight unless you have a very narrow frame build. For a frame of reference I'm 6'4" and BMi says I ought to be ~200lbs.

Fitness Tips?
No such thing as targeted fat removal as you seem to be asking for in part. Body fat will add on to and be removed from wherever your body choses regardless of supposedly 'targeted' exercises. I'd say a good way to start is to get your eating in check, something like myfitnesspal or similar can be great if your not naturally skilled at calorie counting, plus if you work well with targets and numbers its a good motivator. From there you'd wanna look at bringing in some cardio, running/jogging is a nice easy one - aim to go out 3 times a week and work towards doing a 20-30minute non-stop run. Just start easy like do 1min jog, 4min walk for a week then push on to 2min run 3 min walk and so on until you can run for solid time - then work on improving distances and times and such. For muscles if you just wanna do arms, chest and abs you can just stick to a few tried and tested methods. Planking and all it's variants + crunches to help with abs. Press-ups will work the chest, shoulders and arms Get some dumbells and do bicep curls and tricep extensions if you really wanna work the arms more. HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training is a good fat burner for sure but not really necessary for most; its of most use to body-builder types with already low body fat percentages (like sub 10%) who really wanna push it to proper cut. I mean nothing wrong with doing it but for an average joe getting rid of a bit of weight regular cardio should suffice and is easier to implement.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
As are Guthix and Saradomin, whose behavior outright contradicts everything we've heard from their followers. Which makes perfect sense, considering that they've been absent for hundreds of years. The catch is that Bandos actually makes an appearance of sorts during the goblin story. I would not say Guthix and Saradomin are huge departures at all. All the Guthix lore prior to this consisted of a God who sought balance and despised war and fighting - this all fits with that it just adds a twist to his origin and a single act of violence after his daughter got crushed to death. Saradomin in a variety of quests and postbags and such has had foreshadowing of being devious and less holier-than-though than we are meant to believe. I mean the who Temple Knights have always been quite fishy. King Vallance being missing is a big mystery, especially since it allowed white knights control of the city - we already knew he was not as peaceful as perhaps made out since he fought in godwars, claims things as his own with the whole 'Eye of Saradomin' aka Stone of Jas thing and in Devious Minds or w.e it was we saw Saradominists plotting with Zamorakians to breach the Salve and let loose chaos. Idea of Bandos killing Tuska to become a God sounds quite plausible, if those races revel in strength and power it would make since that some sort of Ourg or hgh-up species in that whole set might conspire to kill Tuska. Potential for it even to tie to the Sword of Skargaroth - nothing we have heard so far explains how it is broken for definite. Only that Guthix stabbed with it and obviously brought it with him.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
It does sound awfully like Bandos, but it is rather a departure from what we know thus far 1) Female 2) Blind (by the end) 3) Didn't want worship. 4) Goblins followed her (in contrast to what they current in-game lore says about how Bandos got goblins)

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
I dunno if I follow the logic of Zaros would've probably brought one - by all accounts we have not many of them are actually in the hands of gods. Saradomin has one, Skargaroth had one and lost it. The Stone was lying around Gielinor when Guthix arrive, as was the staff Armadyl later claimed and the horn. Also 'introducing' vampyric traits sounds wrong to me since we never knew anything of him. Loads seem to assume he'd look Mahajratt but there was never any logic in that (seeing as Icthalrin brought the Mahjaratt here and they abandoned him for the more powerful Zaros). Vampyric traits is certainly an interesting twist though seeing as Drakan went Zamorakian.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Frostenhorn amplifies power (Specifically cold?), so it's probably that. Azzanadra has it. I wonder if the other items from Temple at Senntisten are elder artifacts as well. Well Guthix specifically says in the memories he only uncovered 3 - stone, staff, horn - in Gielinor. The other 2 items there seem to be too prominent and obvious for Guthix to of not found, I mean one is literally a prayer book kinda thing there'd be bucket loads of when Zaros was around. The Barrows icon also doesn't seem to fit the MO it's absorbing prayers, not amplifying anything.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Most interesting bit in the memories people seem to be overlooking. "...the boar-like beast was mindless. She did not wish to be worshipped, like the blue giant did: for all her power, she was but an animal, enraged and hungry for carnage. A brutish race of squat, green creatures followed behind her, killing and stealing in her wake, broad grins on their faces. The beast paid them no heed." Attacking Saradomin, brutish-boar like only wants carnage as 'squat green creatures' that kill, steal and laugh about it? Sounds awfully like Bandos (Or Tuska as they called it) and the goblins...but note 'she' By the sounds of all this Bandos is both blind and female, and did not want worship and followers but seems to of took them on since being blind. Unless of course Tuska is like Bandos's wife or something? Interesting that Seren and Guthix seem to of been lovers and that Seren was meant to retreat into the cave with him to hide, especially as Jmods confirmed Seren never left, is she still in the cave? Did they have a child perhaps? etc. Also the memories specific 12 elder artefacts that are 'conduits for their power' to create refinement on a smaller scale. I'm curious as to how the artefacts fall in with what we already know: Does the Kiln and Tokhaar still count as one, or is that instead just something left behind but not a true artefact? But yeah definitely 5 confirmed - the crown, the sword, the staff, the horn and the stone. 4 we know with certainty: Stone of Jas - Offers immense magical power - hidden. Saradomin's Crown - Locates the other 11 and draws god's to it - With Sara. Armadyl's Staff - Use unknown - With Sliske/Dragonkin. Skargaroth's Sword - Slices reality to make portals between worlds - Broken in the Guthix Temple. Frostenhorn thingy seems likely for the Horn in question thought it could also perhaps be the BA horn too (seems unlikely though). Edit interesting point I thought of in passing - assuming there are 3 Elder gods only that's 4 artefacts a piece and they do seem potentially divisible to themes if you consider the staff and stone as giant looming elder god-sized wand and orb, in which case you could theorise (very speculatively) the Sword has a shield or something with it and the Horn perhaps goes with a bow (for mage, melee, range) then all 3 possible have head gear based off the crown. Leaving their 4th as mystery - possibly the 4th being less an item and more a feature eg the never uncovered even by Guthix seemingly Elder Kiln, which could also allow the Dramen tree to be one (since it looks like one of them) But this is all highly speculative.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
I'm talking about the flashbacks. Well yeah the flashbacks are before Guthix was a god. I don't see how that is relevant though? The matter of debate was whether Saradomin could be the 'blue giant' considering when we've seen him he's not particularly giant.
-
Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Does this take place before he ascended? He was a god when he found Gielinor so the humanoid in meeting history, butterfly, floating skull and giant form are all post-godhood
-
Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Maybe. But Guthix said it was a blue giant, and Saradomin is only a bit taller than the average human. Gods can change how they look case and point - Guthix is a tiny human sized thing vs a GIANT cave filling monster. Not to mention he's been a butterfly and seen at humanoid size bringing people through portal in Meeting History. I'd be inclined to say the blue giant is meant to be sara - the whole razed the city because they angered him seems fitting of what we know of him thus far. Plus the 'great tusked beast' that he fights with sounds like Skargoth and/or maybe Bandos.

Yeah tears got fixed when they updated them if all 25 skills = 99+ but dg is <120 it gives xp to dg. Once dg = 120 it goes back to purely xp based for lowest.

Future Update Discussions
I have to say I agree with the idea of cosmetic override rewards being cool - they could do away with 99% of cosmetic only items in the game by making them cosmetic over-rides then they'd see much more use.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Yes it does! And no you can't go back to Nautical! Why can't you go back? Well it is a tier back setback V.V, bit a stupid question as I do not work at jagex nor anyone else here... I didn't realize that port score was a function of what you have currently built, I thought it was based of a history of what you had built at one point. It isn't based on current, the issue is you can't go back tiers, only up or switch between tier you are on - once you move to one of the stainless steel shipwrights you can't go back to the cherrywood nautical.

If you say H/c x2 in game you will be muted. (Taken from Reddit)
No. You assume that bets are not eaten on win, and at the same time assume that the payout is twice the bet. That means you are effectively assuming tripling on win. 100 separate 1m bets, 40% to double and 60% to lose, means you get on average .4 * 2m + .6 * 0m = .8m. It costs 1m to buy this result, so you lose 200k on average, per bet. For the other bets jay proposed, the results are simply 74% payout (on a 10m bet, an average loss of 2.6m), 70% payout (on a 100m bet, an average loss of 30m) and the last one is 60% payout (on a 1b bet, an average loss of 400m). That would be the math for YOU the individual on expected profit/lose per bet. My math was looking at the overal ratio for the game. And your other point is pure nonsense, I did not assume winning bets are not 'eaten' and the pay out is twice the bet if the prize is double bet. If you'll note my third figure is the overal economic shift accounting for only gp created from nothing.

If you say H/c x2 in game you will be muted. (Taken from Reddit)
Your odds are not long enough to be a money sink. 60:40 with double pay out on under 1m. Let's take 100 1m bets, assuming perfect average win:lose ratio. That's 60m eaten by the loses. 80m produced from the wins. +20m in economy. 63:37 with 10m 630m eaten by losses 740m paid out. +110m in economy 65:35 with 100m 6500m eaten in loses 7000m paid out. +500m in economy. 80:20 with 100m (triple) 8000m eaten in loses. 6000m paid out. -2000m in economy. As you can see all bar the last one are set at odds which will cause inflation by adding gp the game. For double payout to break even lose to win has to be 2:1 (eg 66:33) Of course 66:33 is imperfect but 66:34 will create gp by a small margin, whilst 67:33 will eat it by a small margin. 67:33 1m bet 67m eaten 66m paid out -1mil money sink. In the same fashion triple payout odds have to be 3:1 to break even (eg 75:25) quadruple payout would have to be 4:1 (80:20). Even flower games use such odds I mean as I understand most hosts take Red yellow orange as hot. Purple blue and pastel as cold. With RYB and the rarer white and black always being lose. That's 6:3 which works out to as close to 66:33 as you can get - despite the 60:40 ratio always being touted as the odds.
