Locking that I don't agree with
That is not 'evidence' of anything; especially when you consider Vodka B from Runecast wasn't even white, she was at the very least mixed race. But judging by the name and colouring I'd be inclined to say she was Indian in origin, even if she was born and raised entirely in the uk. Evidence of such a broad reaching claim requires more than just oh like the 10 folks in the videos of a 200+ employee company were all white. And even then all it would be evidence of is that white people work there, not the racist conspiracy theories churn out in that post. There's no discussion value at all in a baseless, evidence-less, nonsense, conspiracy theory of racist intent within Jagex - it's just controversial BS thats only purpose is to try and stoke anger either from people dumb enough to believe it or from those who will be immediately labelled 'racist' if they disagree with all the "evidence"

What updates would you like to see in EoC?
I dunno if thats a good idea. I mean what if your near a dungeon wall and the thing on the other side of the wall is closer than the things your attacking? What if your in a multi-enemy room and only wanna fight one thing? What if your running through somewhere/standing around using chat and accidentally trigger something?

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
If anything I'd say Sliske (in TWW) was purposefully trying to get us Guthix magic'd to STOP us being the host precisely because he wants to make us a wight.; I also wouldn't be surprised if the whole Staff of Armadyl turns out to be a deal whereby he charged it up with god blood to help Dragonkin escape the stone and in exchange they will help corner us for wighting. I'd actually quite like if we had a long grandmaster quest in which we actually got made into a wight, but our god powers meant we still had control, in order to infiltrate somewhere and perhaps even managed to free the other wights from servitude before we come back to life. Certainly from our treatment by Azzandra it would seem like we were meant to be a host, I mean fudge we managed to break him out! And retrive 3 uber hard to get artefacts to make the link; but this has scuppered this. As for shadow realm and Zaros - Zaros certainly has power there he after all cursed the 6 involved in getting the staff to Zammy to live there as ghosts, but Sliske isn't alone in using the shadow realm. Let us not forget Khazard purposefully escaped death by moving to the shadow realm after his defeat in Fight Arena AND he took Bouncer with him as well as seemingly taking equipment there to produce the shadow sword.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
This would make the most sense imo. Steel & Black Slate - Tetsu Cherrywood & Bamboo - Seasinger Gunpowder & Jade - Death lotus Then maybe allow Chimes to be used to repair scrimshaws a bit or give us a buttload of cosmetic hotspots that degrade overtime and eat chimes up (just for the sake of using them) Or maybe allow us to invest chimes to get time in workshop where part of the xp boost works for non-pop stuff.

I think a simpler solution to the trade good issue would be to, rather than have Pincer follow the normal progression of low resource voyages > high resource voyages replace the high resource voyage tiers with trade good tiers. So that once you are basically maxed you get mostly trade good voyages, opposed to more useless steel.

I swear pincers is trolling me thus far. Been building my crew over to pincer tier bit by bit. Got my 3 jod and jade merchant obv. 1 oxhead (had them unlocked nearly a week now) 5 harem, 4 bands and 2 tiger riders..

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Your complicating matters too much if you really wanna focus on string theory, you don't need any of that to understand what multiverse means - I'm fairly sure most small children would immediately know roughly what a multiverse is meant to be without having encountered the concept before, it's a self explanatory name and the scientific concepts behind it are hardly necessary to understand it in a face value fantasy game context. Besides your main point seems to be that you think multiverse is too complex for RS, which is a valid opinion you just seem to of shot yourself in the foot by trying to argue that the concept of a multiverse is redundant in of itself opposed to simply that you do not think it is right for RS. And eh I mis-remembered the answer to one FAQ it's an easy mistake, I'm only human.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
1) Seren not Siren 2) Guthix Memories & Origins of Gielinor confirmed Guthix brought the Elves and that Guthix was first on Gielinor 3) This Guthixian Memory therefore means, through the Meeting History thing, that Seren & Elves came before humans, but Guthix certainly brought them. In fact judging by the lore we have it seems Guthix brought Elves, Dwarves, Faires (and quite possibly Gnomes though no true confirm on this, as the 'squat race' mention in memories could be either or dwarf or gnome) as the initial choices and very much suggests humans were some what an after thought - we don't even get a mention in the video or the memories. 4) Meeting History doesn't actually show elves and humans meeting, just an elf scout spotting them and running off

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
It doesn't make it any less stupid. "Universe" is meant to be the all encompassing entirety of existence. "Multiverse" is just redundant. Actually, no. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYAdwS5MFjQ And http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI50HN0Kshg OR (I'm more of a fan of this one) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkxieS-6WuA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySBaYMESb8o Can go on all day, the point is, the term "multiverse" is not redundant, far from it actually... May I suggest you consider the idea of looking at a universe as a "plane" of existence with its own natural "rules", and compare it to a multiverse, where there might be other universes with different rules? I guess that's the tl;dr version.[/hide] You do know who Michio Kaku is, right? He's a TV personality. He's an entertainer. He's a theoretical physicist who won't shut up about science fiction, futurism, and worst of all, string theory. He's only here to make science sound cool. The term "multiverse" at its core is redundant. As I said before, universe means "everything". There can't be more than one "everything", unless you're playing "what ifs" like DC comics, Marvel comics, and string theorists love to do. Sure, Runescape is a fantasy game, sure it can indulge itself in any silly pseudoscience bullshit it wants, but it doesn't even use the idea consistently. It's said that Guthix opened portals to different planes of reality after he stole Katagorborgogath's sword. One of these "planes" was a moon inhabited with fairies. It turns out that this moon was Gielinor's, and it was known as Zanaris. That means Zanaris and Gielinor, although referred to as "seperate planes" are actually existant not only in the same UNIVERSE, but also right next to eachother. Multiverse is by no means redundant. Yes the Universe is everything, but that is only one meaning of the word and specifically the Universe, universe as a general noun also refers to a particular sphere of interest, activity or experience. By the later definition we live in a universe (a particular sphere of experience, being our reality), which we happen to called the Universe (all known matter and space). It does not preclude the existence of a parallel universe - a secondary sphere of experience that occupies the exact same space and time as we do but within alternate parameters of existence. The multiverse is simply a collective term for the summation of all parallel universe. You are getting very ranty over a subject that even by modern science is considered a valid, albeit unproven, possiblity. And even with that aside it's a weel established and widely used fantasy concept that is perfectly understandable and usable. Also they specifically said in the FAQ the fairy homeworld was NOT Gielinor's moon.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Whilst multiverse is a sound idea the trouble with the Jagex lore at the moment is the Origins of Gielinor and mentions of 'planets' in TWW and the Guthix memories very much establishes the idea that it is a singular universe in which we reside. Yet their use of 'multiverse' implies kind of the exact opposite - we aren't in a big universe of lots of planets instead we are in a relatively small universe with others running parallel from which these other homeworlds derive.

What updates would you like to see in EoC?
I know some discussion already occurred on this but especially as EoC split prayers into 'attack and 'strength' even for ranged and mage. I really think It'd make sense to rename Attack to something like Swordsmanship or Warrior or Melee. Then make it so that it effects accuracy for melee, whilst mage and ranged do it for their classes; whilst Strength effects the max hit for all classes. It would make sense, as others have touched on, theres the current type of strength where you literally throw your whole power into smashing a weapon into them. But there's also strength to pulling a bow tighter to fire harder or fling something harder, heck even avoiding recoil on crossbows via strength would give it a bit more punch. And as for magic it could make sense in both the sense of flinging the spell away from your stronger and mental strength to channel the magic into a more forceful hit. I know it'd be a departure from what Strength currently is, but it wouldn't be outside the realms of what a strength skill could encompass.

What's wrong with playing RuneScape, honestly?
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't claiming you get all you socially need from online interactions. I just disagree that being online is automatically deemed anti-social because in modern world much of what is online is a social experience. Plus the need for intimacy through being near people and such is entirely separate from the act of being social or anti-social. Yes as a social being we need the intimacy as well as the pure social interaction, but we are capable of socialising without the intimacy - which is precisely what multi-player games and social media and such offer.

Future Update Discussions
Something special is totally gonna be the html5 engine beta we already know is due in april from various jmod sources I reckon. That or it's gonna be surprise new skill next week! Obviously by 'next week' I mean the last week in April since the video itself will be out next week, making 'next week' from the video perspective the last week in april.

What's wrong with playing RuneScape, honestly?
I find the idea, in this day and age, that being online automatically equates to not being social quite absurd. I mean if I'm in runescape talking to clan mates and friends how is that unsocial? Yes I'm not socialising with people face to face, but I'm still socialising. Just like if your sitting on facebook or skype for hours as long as you are chatting to folks you are socialising. Heck in many ways I'd say these things are more social than some activities deemed as being 'social' eg going to the cinema - whilst you go with friends and it is fun how is sitting in the dark, in silence watching a film deemed to be more social than actually talking to people, even if they happen to be in a game or online rather than face to face. Or the number of people I know who won't talk whilst eatting - how is them being there for a meal out but not talking more social than talking to friends on fb? Of course neither example is remotely anti-social, but I don't see why they are deemed more social than being online and chatting via websites or games when the entire core of sociability relies on interacting and talking with other people.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
That he did thought I kinda feel like they are being dumb and using the word wrongly, because everything outside of the multiverse comments here implies very clearly that this is a singular universe with other planets. Though there is some multiverse stuff going on with pocket realms (eg the abyss, the rc altars, the runespan).

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Lots of interesting tidbits in the QA though. Zanaris is in fact the fairy homeworld moon and not part of Gielinor. The most powerful elder artefact is on gielinor (presumably SoJ) Tuska =/= Bandos and is still alive. One of her followers corpses was seen in TWW memory section and they are not goblins, though similar. The Elder Twelve will be important to future story. Edit: Managed to quote instead of edit so ended up double posting anyway so I'll leave what was to be the edit here.

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
It did not say Tuska had one at all, the only ones mentioned were Saradomin's Crown, Skargaroth's Sword, Stone of Jas, Staff of Armadyl and a horn found in Gielinor (presumably the Frostenhorn) No but when its explaining the crowns ability of attracting other elder item users it says that the crowns ability attracted both Tuska and Skargaroth. The context of the sentence doesn't 100% confirm Tuska has one though, only that the Crown is what made Tuska come. It is perfectly logical that other gods follow Saradomin, who has the crown, because they want the crown and/or they know where he goes there are likely to be other artefacts to be found. Plus factor in the new FAQ stuff in which Tuska is still out there charging around blindly implies she is not being actively drawn to the crown and was instead simply stalking it of choice. tl;dr - The only god we currently 100% know has an artefact is Saradomin because the info we has does not 100% mean Tuska must have 1.

4th March - The World Wakes
I coulda sworn that just said 'worn by the blue giant' when I read it. My bad.
-
4th March - The World Wakes
Well, a memory from the Easter event has proven my theory correct. Righteous fury against the blue giant to follow. =/ Tbf the Easter thing doesn't entirely prove it. Admittedly giant blue god man with a crown does fit the bill, but without a name or visual theres room for Jagex to make it someone else. But it does put it far enough beyond reasonable doubt to be taken as fact until proven otherwise. Also at the point about it can't be Sara because he's known to be a 'recent' deity compared to Zaros: Recent is a relative term. If Zaros became a god 58 million years ago and Saradomin became one 50 million years ago he'd still be a recent deity compared to Zaros.

Strange Bonus XP (Glitch?)
I've heard of this, alongside random massive xp pop-ups when logging on. As far as I am aware they are both just display bugs and you don't actually get the extra xp

Tribute to Guthix and New Combat Abilities
Well, not really, the elves fought because some of them suddenly turned their back and started following a Dark Lord, probably Zamorak. The Fremminik started their crusades to kill magic users. Magic in RuneScape is a residue power left by the Stone of Jas. Without the Stone, there wouldn't be a crusading band of barbarians. So we can say it's partly the fault of the Elder Gods or Guthix and Seren because they hadn't hidden the Stone well enough. Also, the Fremminik started the war because of their beliefs, as no one should use magic that isn't born within the person itself. Pest Wars were started because Wizard Grayzag was studying Valluta, when he stumbled upon the pests and decided he could use them to show the world he is the strongest summoner ever. The Pests are an invading force so aren't native to our plane. We thus can conclude that the war wasn't started because of the races that were brought by Guthix. In a world where basically everyone has a god allegiance you could justify anything with that sort of logic. However there is a difference between a war in which a god just happens to be in the background and a war full on caused by/driven by a god. Yes magic came from Stone of Jas but no god made the Fremmy's try to wipe magic out, any more so than a god made people use magic. Pest wars may be waged by a Guthixian force, but they aren't being driven by a god. The knights are doing so of their own volition. Elves we have no idea if their Dark Lord is a god or not and Jmods have pretty much outright said/hinted its not Zaros or Zammy. And even if they did switch allegiance it was a civil war between the elves with no god present done so in the name of one clan trying to claim ultimate power. And of course this wasn't even an extensive list of examples. Arposanda is beginning a war against tree gnomes. Khazard and the Gnomes are in battle. There's tensions between Al-Kharid and the southern desert.

Stake and Stake Hammer for Dom. Tower
Yup on the floor just to the left of where u start (when viewed from behind) they'll be on the floor.
-
Stake and Stake Hammer for Dom. Tower
Dom Tower spawns any required items inside the arena - Balmung, silverlight, blast runes, ancient mace, stake and hammer etc. Version brought in from the outside won't function as they are meant to, only the ones spawned by the tower. The only specialized gear Dom tower doesn't give is ice gloves for Fareed and Flambeed.

Locking that I don't agree with
I don't think it was unfair at all. A obviously controversial for the sake of it thread with 0 evidence isn't good discussion. Plus last I checked Vodka B in the runecast videos wasn't white let alone other employees eg the ones Tripis referenced and several seen in photos from runefest events. And this is not the way to deal with what you deem unfair lockings, this is just trying to create a shitstorm. And tbf even if Jagex DID have only white employees currently it's a non-discussion. Just because we live in a multi-ethnic society doesn't magically make multi-ethnic people apply for the jobs or be the best candidate. So even a company of Jagex's size (like 200ish people) it is entirely possible to have all 1 race by pure chance.
