We were not being smart about it, we were trying to HELP you. It is of bigger help to you in the long run if you learn that very very simple things like this are easily found by yourself without wasting time making a forum thread. If you learn this in the long run it will save you a lot of time and help you develop the crucial life skill of problem solving rather than hoping someone else can answer every simple issue you have.

You don't even need a guide to know that. Click home tele, there's a map which shows all the lodestone icons either open or locked. You can count them and it would've probably taken less time than coming here and making a thread. Sometimes helping yourself (either by looking before asking or doing a basic search) is the best move.
  3. So we are saying ability wise 2h wins out but in terms of basic weapons longs seems to win out then? Guess that means all in all for true efficiency 2h still rules the roost BUT if you do wanna be lazy and momentum without losing out more than necessary dual long swords seem a little better due to their slightly higher dps. Though of course if you wanna do a mix of the 2 and not waste binds the small margin for the lazy way means 2h is still the better choice as an all rounder.
  4. given that dg has only a certain number of possible items and that the customization menu allows you to keep three presets with their individual color values when applicable thus proving the limitations aren't as low as we are led to think they are ("it's too time consuming and/or impossible to convert existing items to custom menu" + few months later = "hey buy our keepsake keys" + a few more months later = "hey we turned rare card collectibles into custom items despite the fact that we didn't do this earlier with any of our other items not released from solomon but you can't have them without paying") i don't think it'd be like, a huge dedication to allow three specific full gear loadouts per person, especially when many people hate certain types of combat anyway Imo the logic thing to do would be firstly allow 1 bind per slot per type of item. Eg Weapon you are allowed 6 binds - staff, wand, bow, knife, 2h and 1h Shield you are allowed 6 binds - 3*shield (each class) + 3* offhands etc. Plus have 5 slots into which items you can't use go (so you can bind like primals or w/e without killing off ur usable binds) Then have the 3 sets and make it so each set can only use binds from 1 class (melee, mage or range) and have however many slots, 5 seems ok BUT the first slot is like a specialised 'hands' block that can take a 2h OR a 1h and an off-hand. Plus give them a ring assignment slot. Then on the ring of kinship right-click toggles have 3 options (melee, range, mage) with only 2 visible subject to what ur on and can't toggle mid-combat. Boom dw vs 2h not a bind issue and the swapping thing made useful.
  5. They're almost identical. (Promethium) Daggers = 2166.75 Rapiers, Longswords = 2161.8 Maul, 2H, spear, war hammers, battle axes = 2159.5 So accounting for the bias in favour of slash in monster weaknesses outside of ability related DPS Longswords seem to be the victor, though only by a small margin.
  6. I'm curious how the melee dual wields hold up against the 2h. (excluding the accuracy from rings/assuming equal rings) As best as I can see at a glance: Spear is average, Rapier is fast, Dagger is fastest so assuming they on par there's a fair chance for Rapiers > Daggers > Spear to be true within stab - assuming the weakness of daggers drop it down a bit in spite of speed Maul and war hammer are both average so I'd assume maul = war hammers for crush Then 2h is average, battleaxe is average and long sword is fast in slashing so I'd hazard it being possible that Long Sword > 2h/Battleaxe But I suck at doing the real math and have yet to manage to smith up some promethium for comparisons.
  7. Well that's a stupid oversight that has ruined a potentially useful update, but then are we really to be surprised when Jagex never addressed the genuine issue that dual wield chaotics cost 1.5* what 2h chaotics do - an issue they only really exacerbated by then adding in claws at the same 200k price tag as 2h. Edit: In reference to dual weapons taking two bind slots.
  8. If you bought the pet just for charm collecting you are a fool in the first place. It only picks up drops in it's final stage and even then only at a rate of attempting a pick up around every 1/3 kills (note attempting as it will try whether or not there's something it can pick up). Factor is further it precludes the use of other followers, be they BoB, healers or fighters and their great size being tricky in some dungeons. All in all the fact pets grab drops is a nice extra perk, not something to buy them for and certainly nothing on par with this charm collector.
  9. I wonder this too! This could make all the difference of their use, after all in DG context the added speed of dual wield may be highly beneficial.
  10. Tbf with sinkholes they aren't beyond possibility now.
  11. I'd hold off for now. With the offensive/defensive/hybrid thing coming later this month rumour is PoP armour is going to come in 2 flavours - if this is the case better to hold of and see how things are after the armour changes.
  12. I don't think its too far out of context for a consideration of proportionality; I ignored shields so it only took the totals as: Black d-hide - helm, body, legs, gloves Royal - helm, body legs gloves Karils - helm, body, legs Arma - helm, body, legs, gloves, boots That gives Arma a mild advantage in the inclusion of boots (+93) but it's still ahead by a good margin without it. It gives Karil's a disadvantage in lack of gloves, yet its still ahead of the lower 2. Granted in actual slayer usage one is unlikely to use the helms, but they all give roughly the same portion of the numbers so don't make a huge impact on where they stand in relation to each other. Using just body and legs the only real difference is Arma falls back slightly to equal Karils (though it does also have +26 damage on the body Karil's lacked) Black - 515 (2520LP) Royal - 658 (2730LP) Karil's - 840 (2940LP) Arma - 840 (2940LP)
  13. Dg is a bit of a learning curve but once you learn it is easy - I tend to average 15min for solo meds, but I also play on a laggy laptop with a track pad that means I waste like 5 seconds or so per door opening. Most/all puzzles are easily overcome with speed, to cover the ones you mentioned above: 1) Maze - Ignore the centre if there isn't a key there you can get through to any doors much faster and they won't be locked. You can use gates to bypass it in future to not get gassed. 2) Emote - This isn't even a slow one really, just know your basic emotes and watch. Shouldn't cause problems or slow you much. 3) Vile fish - when buying ess at the start also grab 10 feathers this covers vile fish ferret rooms. 4) Ramokee - I assume you mean the room with the 4 of them, that's easy enough - same as any other GD room really just be sure to get the skinweaver first. If you meant the riddles they are also easy enough in time because you learn the answers and item locales. As for path finding a good starter technique is: 1) Get a feel for where the boundaries are on the map - this way you get to know how far paths can go. 2) Don't be afraid to open all the doors you can in a room then flick open the map for a glance. 3) Learn the basic pathing logic - rooms that are nearest to the boundaries and/or penned in on several sides are best to clear first. Being near the boundaries mean they often can't go all that far + being penned in limits how many junctions they can have. Eg if you hit a junction from the east that goes south or north and you are right against the west boundary and theres only 3 empty spaces to the south but north is wide open the south path must denk out pretty fast - it's only got 3 spaces it can possibly run too. Granted there are more nuances and you can do it without viewing the map too much but I found that a good way to get to grips with the concept. The one thing that really unavoidable slows down a floor imo is a 'yoyo floor' as I call them. Eg you go 3 rooms in one path then find a key door de and non-matched key, 3 doors down a second path u hit a key door de but find the key for path 1. Path 1 you get 1-2 rooms further hit a key door de but find key for path 2 and so on for like 5 or 6 keys. Even with good gates I find these floors a pita speed wise due to constant path switching.
  14. Black Demons were largely abandoned by real players as they were a botfest making get kills tricky. With recent dents to the bot population (via some Jagex work and migration to 07scape) they would be dead because the bots are gone but players still haven't come back. I haven't had any issues with dmg or w/e when I do them, you consistent damage sounds like a product of poor armour more than anything. BD's are fairly strong and you are using an armour kinda below their level. Black d-hide (sans shield) is 801 defence. Royal D-Hide all 4 pieces amount to 861 defence. Karil's in 3 pieces is 1213 defence Armadyl (sans shield) is 1399 defence
  15. Too bad we know most of this information from the Premium Members letter, and so this BTS isn't fake.. Plus the fact Jagex do 1 Aprils Fools a year and they did the Cook's Assistant Musical BTS video that was a very obvious joke.
  16. They said in HLF a while ago they were looking at tie it to acquiring and specific tier of equipment from rewards.
  17. Interesting pic from FB that shows new duel arena - looks like a god-sized throne for sure. Wonder what the new lore will be, Tumeken? Bandos? Someone else?
  18. An interesting move for GWD would be if the new hard modes dropped the offensive armour whilst the original GWD drop defensive versions, but I don't expect it.
  19. I don't think having armour being always convertible would be an issue if it required you do it at the appropriate workstation and perhaps only doable at 100 and 0 for no on the fly swapping.
  20. Don't you say this sort of thing every month? Erm no. I think this is the first time I've said anything remotely bordering on negative about the BTS and even then note that I said they are all very good updates - I just feel a little underwhelmed because there is nothing truly new content wise to get stuck in to. All other months I've been very positive.
  21. I feel kinda underwhelmed with this month. With beta going live its understandably a bit light and thought what we are getting it all sounds rather dull in terms of attention getting. Beta - Yeah awesome great etc, but its mainly back end changes and we'll just be playing live game with new engine so beyond the initial wow its jsut buisness as usual Cwars and Duel makeovers - Yay shiney new graphics and slightly tweaked gameplay...but its still the same old games so not something to hold attention for aaages. Charm Sprites - getting an upgrade, awesome but again minor fixes not gonna hold attention for long. Dg - few new weps and 1 new reward as with the others very awesome but hardly a big attention holder. Eoc Tweaks - Again nothing to hugely hold focus and sounds mildly worrying that they are just reassigning sets (by the sounds of it) rather than padding things out to give us options for all 3 at each tier. Small xp tweaks - literally not even worth checking out, but still very nice. Just feels, to me, that in spite of all the good stuff theres nothing actually all that new this month to dump an hour or two's focus in to.
  22. No. They are just...random. If you were getting them every single time on first round of boats for the day for all these weeks you were just lucky.
  23. I find the argument of it being premature to get into RS3 as people are still hooked on RS2 to be total nonsense. They are the SAME game. It's not like Fable, Halo, Assassin's Creed, The Sims or w/e else where you put 2 aside and pick up 3 as a brand new fresh start at the very beginning game. Yes it's a 'new' game in the sense they recode the back end from the ground up but the entirety of the game content, users, progress etc is taken across from one game to the other with just a bit of a polish on interfaces, back end and graphical stuff. Transitioning from RS2 to RS3 has basically 0 impact on how or what you are playing. You'll still have all your stats quests etc and all the same content will be there and waiting so what does it matter if you are playing in an engine known as RS2 or RS3?
  24. If it is an april fools it seems a bit dry compared to the usual obviously ludicrous stuff we get. The engineering half does seem much more plausible than the first half due to things like: We won't have sailing skill, no plans to go to the Eastern Lands anytime soon, Varrock Museum expedition...why when they haven't even managed Kudos Isle yet? But then 'wind beneath your wings' eg flying, does sound a bit too puntastic as well.
  25. I'd imagine that the mini-obleisk and prayer functions are going to have something graphically nicer placed there in the next update when the altar goes bybye.
