13 - Dec - 2011 The Flash Powder Factory
It's less than half the exp/h of the advanced courses, AND BA horn doesn't work there. "reasonably rewarding" is an overstatement. I'd still say its reasonably rewarding. After all you get xp in 3 skills while playing it and the xp buying rewards are pretty generous. Just cause its not close to the best xp/hr doesn't mean it isn't reasonably rewarding, it certainly means its not the best way to train outright. I'd say its reasonably rewarding because its fun to do, doesn't cost anything and doesn't require a whole lot of effort. But yeah rewarding =/= efficient training

From what I gather it gives a chance of 4-dose pots (and a chance of unfs giving some xp). But 4 dosers aren't more xp, just more value for selling or using via extra dose. But I certainly don't know anything for certain.

So the flash powder factory is actually kinda fun and not TOO bad points rate. I was getting around 120-170 a game easily (reward points that is) so looking at around 500 an hour, which isn't all that bad really for buying xp or for earning the robes. Certainly not gonna be anything great for the metagamers xp rates, but seems enjoyable and reasonably rewarding.

Something in the middle of the Wilderness Volcano
Check world map dear. Its Wilderness Volcano and then in the NE corner Volcano. No such thing as wilderness crater by official names.

Something in the middle of the Wilderness Volcano
Be interesting to get some lore behind it. Looks like some big ass guthixian totem got thrust up into a fortress hence causing a wave that made the volcano walls and leaving ruins floating in its wake.

If only it wasn't randomly instanced we could set up groups for no pickpocketing for maximised points for all (kinda like fast sc)

Ranged Calculator
Probably because it's not a standard weapon people would use to train and in terms of showing max hit in the useful context (agaisnt vyres) the calculator would be inaccurate as there are other factors at play such as vyre corpses burnt. Besides you can type a custom range strength bonus in anyway. None of the x-bane items appear either, at least not yet. The same principle applies to them there are extra factors at play in the max hit.

Tbh if they are adamant at not making some cosmetic only aura they should separate the graphically glow from the function; so we can use them all the time cosmetically regardless of them being active or inactive.

Note items
It'd still be over-powered as you ability to remain camped at a resource infinitely is limited only by your supply of runes; which means many people could quite easily stay there solidly without banking for wekks or months on end.

Note items
Nah jagex has stated time and again there's a reason you cannot note stuff away from the bank: It'd make training/gathering too easy for many skills. Would it make life easy? sure. But it'd totally ruin the economy and many skills and overall be a very very bad thing. Besides we have abyssal titans and pak yak's to remotely bank for us any how.

People with full banks blaming it on "having stuff for every skill" just have poorly organised junk filled banks and if they were less oblivious to what is and is not useful they could easily shed a good 100-200 items. Eg rc specific items you need like 6 (possibly 7) items, not a whole tab of talismans: Wicked hood, 4 pouches, 1 pile of essence; the extra 7th would be grahak(sp?) for nat crafting. For RC I need all my RC tabs as well, for getting around as well as RCing with them. There is also my omni-staff that I am not dropping because it cost me 10k tokens, another item is the master runecrafter robes(which I do not own but someone else might). But I agree with the rest of your post, even with a rather full bank I can easily manage to keep it around 400 items. Omni staff true but you don;t NEED it. Rc robes in terms of efficiency are a bad investment and again not NEEDED Altar teletabs are again un-needed as most of the rune types are pointless, only blood is all that useful. Only natures, bloods and zmi is really worth it for rcing. In terms of getting around the tabs are still largely useless, any useful thing they are adjacent too have their own teleports or can be reached via wicked hood since they aren't exactly heaps of repeatable stuff at the altars. So in literal brutal terms of NEED only you only need 6 - 8 items for rc; sure many people use them. But if you full consider NEED only you can easily trim down you bank a heck of a lot and still maintain a good spread of un-needed items with space to spare. (eg I have omni staff) I disagree that the altar tabs are not needed. I need my air tabs for crafting armadyl runes. I need the earth tabs for getting to the saw mill penguin. The astral tabs are essential to switch to the lunar spellbook quickly. The blood tabs get me to my bloodveld tasks faster. The nature tabs are good for calquats and for runecrafting, as well as the east karamja penguin. It never hurts to have extra teleports to different places as you never know where it might save you time. I use my wicked hood primarily for runecrafting, as it nets me 128k profit everyday for 3 minutes of runecrafting, which I find well worth it. \ EDIT: Oops and I forgot the law altar teleport, which is the fastest way to get to entrana. Still none are NEEDED especially for runecrafting when u factor in time spent getting them. Even in terms of getting around many have better alternatives, or only marginally slower choices. Crafting runes > abyss is faster overall. Saw mill > telescrolls Astral is covered by Wicked Hood, thou astral tabs can be handy I overlooked tht one in my original post. Blodvelds > drakan medallion and/or Wicked Hood Calquats > Tai Bwo Wanii scrolls Nats > Graahk East Karamja > Glider, witch doctor mask or glory + agility or karamja gloves or fairy ring. Entrana > largely useless location but hot air balloons are easily reach via cwars or sawmill to get there and the abyss and spirit tree > sarim > boat I'm not disputing some may be useful in getting around, but none are strictly NEEDED, certainly not as part of runecrafting items.

No wonder. Most of that stuff is beyond useless! Skill capes > poh Most teletabs can be ditched via 2 portal rooms in house + chipped tabs Herb place holders? Meh I'd ditch atleast the low end ones if not all. Only bother placing herbs I'm not selling straight away. Low level trees > flog em. Utterly pointless once u aren't gonna farm em no more. Bad xp and cheaper to buy the fruit you need. Tools + farm items > shulda gone years ago between poh and lepchaun you don't need like any stashed in the bank long term and now tool belt adds to this. Most construction items can probably go, depends what you intend to do with ur house. Oak planks are only majorly useful.

Why have ALLL the elemental staffs? In all uses ever made combo staffs will cover single-type rune needs; I have mud, lava and steam and then an air staff and even thats kinda excessive since I have like thousands upon thousands of air runes and steam is pretty much useless. Also everything else you listed is in my bank and I still have much space, the only greegree I lack atm is the blue bearded gorilla gotten via zombie implings and I still got lots of space.

Livid Farm -> Costs
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Livid_Farm/RunesAndExp - this covers exact runes needed and xp gained in spell by spell break down. Yes you should be doing all the basic spells (curing 3 plants, fertilising 3 plots, repairing 2 fences per round + energising pauline and bundling livids as needed), but the "distraction" ones you can ignore. As for cost you can easily work it out yourself from those tables. (rune price * no of runes needed)

Apparently there are and when asked why they come out with a blurb about they have stuff for every skill; which seems nonsensical to me. I have a decent array of combat gear, probably more than is strictly useful, supplies for all skills neccessary, supplies specifically for doing shattered heart, a HUGE tab of "getting around" stuff with all sorts of teleports and keys in, a Tab of "junk" stuff that I like costume wise and won;t go into poh and a fairly full tab of uri items. Plus my consumables tab is setup with a "potion grid" (a pile of 4,3,2 and 1 doses of each potion) to stop me losing them and then months later being like ohh I have 300 2 dose ppots. Plus an assortment of handy for quest items. And I STILL have hundreds of spaces free. About all I could add to my bank that would be of actual use is herb seeds (I sell em all atm as I'm a lazy farmer and just do trees for xp) and seconds for summoning (which I buy as needed) It's not even like the 99s I have mean I've cleared out the item heavy skills, after all fishing, wc, mining, fletching, cooking and fm are all only like 2 - 5 item skills. tl;dr: People with full banks blaming it on "having stuff for every skill" just have poorly organised junk filled banks and if they were less oblivious to what is and is not useful they could easily shed a good 100-200 items. Eg rc specific items you need like 6 (possibly 7) items, not a whole tab of talismans: Wicked hood, 4 pouches, 1 pile of essence; the extra 7th would be grahak(sp?) for nat crafting.

Toolbelt in Mange Thy Kingdom
Yeah I still don't see the why people are arguing you should be able to take tools off the belt. All the obscure uses that are not currently covered are obvious oversights/bugs that will be fixed rendering the need for the tool off the belt obsolete; eg why let the rake be removed when all current* and future uses of the rake can be done from the belt? There is no reason. *After the few obscure overlooked things are fixed. The only exception is the spade for barrows, a few quest uses and treasure trails for spade, but there are plenty of good suggestions out there that covered work arounds for this; eg most if not all these items can be altered to have a dig spot (eg a specific mound of dirt on barrows with dig option) or have a conditional dig spot/option (eg when in the map area for a map based dig clue you get right-click dig on the ground or for co-ordinates you get a dig option/dig spot when you check cor-ordinates and ur on the right sq)

A question about digitising hand-drawn art...
I kinda figured you can do it with a camera too, thanks to an app on my phone called "camscanner" plus "picsaypro" I managed to tweet the beginnings of the art work I'll later be inking and scanning and it's actually quite clear!

Grifolaroo task
Not worth perma-blocking though as it'll block all polypore tasks and at later levels Ganodermic tasks are great for cash.

Toolbelt in Mange Thy Kingdom
I completely agree. I wish the players would just give it a bit of time till the updates fix all these minor inconveniences. Often a place like MTK is overlooked, it will get sorted out in the following updates. I wouldn't even like to work out how many separate uses rake has! If you consider each separate plot, even of same type, must have a unique id due to it storing separately for growth data/plant type etc. Then each of them has 3 stages of weeds. That's like 12 uses for 1 allotment. 48 for all 4 allotments. 54 when you add in the stray vege patch on harmony + my arm's patch 69 when you add in herblore habitat 99 when you add in the tree patches Then there also the bush patches, hops patches, special patches plus an assortment of quest uses.

A question about digitising hand-drawn art...
Ah I get ya so essentially blow it out so pencil marks etc go to white and all the ink goes pure black; then use brushes, blurs etc. etc. to tidy up any bits that look a bit messy. Ty muchly! Kinda obvious stuff, but given my lack of a decent scanner previously and been doing very little handart just couldn't think how to do it!

Currency tab?
I have around 100 free spaces in my bank, One space isnt going to hurt. Although if I was lacking space I would use the pouch I'm sure. Bank sorting is something everyone does differently. Ive seen bank pictures where theres a spot for every potion 1 to 4. That makes less sense to me personally. But, unless you're heading into the Wilderness, there is no reason why you wouldn't keep your money on you. It's actually got little to do with bankspace and more to do with convenience. You'll never again say "Oh, hang on, I'll just head to a bank to get my money". I'll agree that bank sorting is something everyone does differently, but this one is a no-brainer. Yeah bank sorting is meaningless here. Even wildy don't matter. The pouch is a 100% safe space for coins, even in wildy you don't lose from it, only wildy-related effect is you cannot add coins to the pouch (so u can't get say a 5mil gp drop and insta save it). The ONLY way to lose coins is if they are in you inventory and you die in the wilderness, pouch is safe in the wildy. There is no reason organisational or otherwise to keep coins in the bank as the coin pouch keeps them organised, safe and available at all times. The pouch basically IS the bank space you keep coins in now.

A question about digitising hand-drawn art...
How do you get hand-drawn images to scan in to the computer well? I'm working on some black ink line work that I need to get scanned in for colouring etc. But in past experience scanning hand-drawn ahd always ended up rather messy. Any tips?

Toolbelt in Mange Thy Kingdom
Because the items all have like hundreds of uses (if you count each separate item they work with eg chisel gem cutting is 9+ actions without even counting bolt tip making) Some are bound to be overlooked, there's just so many! All you need is to throw in a bug report and it'll get sorted.
