Future Update Discussions
Ports is almost definitely the 26th. BTS video said that next week it is about ports. Next friday BTS about ports rules out it coming this week and makes it almost 100% certain it'll be the monday after video (26th). A fact further solidified by it being a January update and 26th being last week available for January update. Runelabs is already definite for Tuesday - video say it opens for submissions on the 20th

slayer points
You do not get the higher amount of points for every task. The higher amounts are bonus amounts for every 10th and 50th task. The lower bonus amount is given for task 10,20,30,40,60,70,80,90,110 and so on. The higher bonus amount is given for task 50,100,150,200 and so on. Task 11-19, 21-29 etc. get the regular amount of points only.

Rune Labs Discussion
^ If memory serves it began as a small irish tv show the BBC then copied the format for Dragon's Den which went and blew up to be massive spawning the numerous international versions mostly called Dragon's Den, but of course being true to form with most such shows US can't just copy the format and have to make their own spin/changes on it so it's name is different.

Do there exists atheists in Gielinor?
And? My personal measure for what I would consider a true god does not need to apply to anyone other than myself. Whatever your personal measure is, be you a real person or an npc, all that matters for atheism is that you do not recognise any supposed god-figure as a god. I never stipulated any grounds on which characters in RS need to measure what they think of as the benchmark for being an actual not just given a title by folks god. My point was just because of the context in which Runescape exists does not automatically mean the Elder Gods or Young Gods meet any given characters measure of a true god.

At that point, what's the difference? Because at this point it seems like the definition you're using for godhood isn't one that suits the nature of the setting. :v The nature of the setting isn't exactly relevant to how one might define true godhood. For me to be a true god one needs to be an all powerful, infallible, omnipotent entity that exists in-spite of everything else in whatever given universe/reality. Nothing in the Runescape universe meets this criteria. Elder Gods may be a pinnacle of known power, but they are still flawed and have needs and desires and limitations. Pinning Elder Gods with a yup real genuine "god" badge to me is like calling the most powerful world leaders "gods" irl - just because they are the pinnacle of power that we are aware of us doesn't automatically make them a deity. Atheism is never impossible because it is the disbelief in any form of deity. Just because a particular faith groups calls a particular powerful entity their god and it can be shown that entity exists does not mean you have to believe it is a deity and have a religious faith in it - you can chose to simply believe it is a powerful being that exists by pure chance the same way you do and in doing so you are atheist.

Elder Gods. Even then we do not have proof they are a divine godly being - they are being of immense power yes, but they have flaws and life cycles. But it is lesser beings that have inferred the title of god upon them.

I don't think being atheist in runescape would be silly. Atheism after all is that you do not believe in a god as the ultimate power guiding everything. And whilst yes there are figures we call 'gods' and yes there is proof they exist it is also provable that they are NOT divine beings - they are normal beings who have gained immortality/immense power through exposure to certain very powerful artifacts. Saradomin is just a powerful human. Zamorak is just a powerful mahjratt. Guthix was just a powerful Naragi. Aramdyl is just a powerful aviansie etc. Plus the Godless faction is in of itself a nice big slice of Atheism - they do not believe in the "gods" or their right to command mortals about.

Comp - Statement of Intent
For me I think listening to currently trimmed people is probably the worst group to listen to if you were to focus on only 1 group in the interests of being 'fair' They have done the stupid ott broken reqs and out of bloody mindedness will want others to face the same suffering. Also as a group they are kinda the least effected by req changes, prticular when talking about lessening reqs - they already have it. Whatever happens will require them to do little to no work. The people the req does effect the most are those who haven't done it but intend to aim for that cape and the people wanting to play the content the cape req effects. By all means listen to trimmed folks and if they have a good case weigh it appropriately, but thus far I haven't see any reasoning from trimmers beyond 'I'd did it so everyone else should instead of being whiny babies.' And that reasoning does not justify a broken or ott requirement - it offers no justification for why the requirement is viable or decent.

Tip.It heights survey
Doesn't seem all that surprising proportion wise. Most studies have shown that the trend in recent years is people are more tall people and short people and less people clustered around average. Plus I mean male average height is around 5'10 aka 177cm (us and europe are all pretty close to this) which places most of the votes on poll marginally above male average at this point - hardly shocking for a gaming community which you would expect to have a higher proportion of male users given the demographics of the gaming market as a whole.

Comp - Statement of Intent
You could argue that, but it'd be farcical to do considering the open ended nature of cwars rendering it uncompletable coupled with numerous other much more hard and fast if you have done y you have finished x things that didn't go on the cape and the fact that no other minigame was anywhere near the cape reqs. Slap on all the wink wink nudge nudge we've got something special for that 'Castle wars' guy whos 'famous' for being the only guy to actually have the castlewars professional cape and you reach a point beyond all reasonable doubt that they made that req because of him.
-
Levels
Yeah p2p skills on f2p are capped to lvl 5, when you return to p2p they act as if your stats have been drained and have to restore over time or be force restored by means such as potions, dg start, some minigame starts, dying etc.

Tip.It heights survey
Because since I moved to the UK, the doctors I know have always used imperial and metric, the former mostly out of convention, the latter because it's accurate - and I assumed it was the same elsewhere. Maybe it's different outside of the southeast, however. I fail to see how this is contradictory to what I said. Doctors use metric. Normal people use imperial. Doctors take the metric because that is what they use. Doctors tell you the imperial conversion because thats what people use and understand. Plus it is possible to measure your own height and people do that in imperial.
-
Tip.It heights survey
I don't see why only American's are mentioned in regards to imperial height measurements. I'm UK and other than doctors I know literally no-one who uses anything but imperial for their height. 6'4" aka 193cm for me.

Dragonkin journals, boss slayer rewards (I know both highly shocking for a player who doesnt really like pvm, even if he has enjoyed it more lately) and elder chronicles (99 div pre-elder div) for me

I've not even invested a lot of time in trim reqs and I have all bar 3 of those done and in fact I thought most of them were just plain reqs. XD

RSOF Sy Accursed likes to be a bit more eloquent, structured and less rant-ish so he seems like a voice worth listening to in Jmod land. Tip.it Sy Accursed likes to say it how he thinks it.

Rune Labs Discussion
Ah so the system that is designed for good well supported players ideas to get seen by jagex and make it into the game is constrained to be the exact type of content jagex feels they have a slot for... Surely runelabs should be entirely open and ALL ideas regardless of what jagex is looking for that month should be allowed a shot. I mean of course it might mean some stuff sits there awaiting appropriate dev slots to open up, but atleast that way its a record of what players want and what jagex should therefore should be trying to fit into their dev rounds. Limiting it to what they want just gives a cookie cutter way to gather sudden surge ideas they can mold over their preconceived idea and then dance it around as 'its what players wanted' whilst ignoring the most popular ideas that dont fit what they want as 'oh but we're after extra small skill updates this month' or w/e

Comp - Statement of Intent
These statements do seem good, but it seems beyond stupid to not actually move/alter existing reqs to conform to them. It's like formulating an action plan to stop getting punctures by avoid roads covered in nails, but expecting the already punctured tires to work without repairs. I can see why they can't outright remove reqs, but it isn't going to end anybodies world if a few reqs are upgraded or downgraded. The ones worthy of downgrade most enroute to comp probably already have and the ones worthy of upgrade sure it may be annoying to a degree if you already did them, but it just means your closer to comp cape.

Future Update Discussions
Actually they pretty heavily implied it was coming, they even said it could end up being later this year subject to polls etc. The point of this was to give a neglected skill new purpose without the massive dev budget to fully rework it.

In b4 half the trivia answers are completely wrong because jmods who wrote them don;t know lore etc as well as half the players do.

Should I sell my fire runes?
It depends on gear and levels too. As a rule of thumb a lvl 80 gear you can ignore small weakness (fire, stab, arrow etc) and focus only on large (mage, ranged or magic) At lvl 90 gear you can ignore weaknesses entirely with a few exceptions eg ascension (ranged) and polypore dungeon (magic)

Earth Warrior
It is possible to access the chaos tunnels without going through the wilderness. The tunnel used in the hunt for surok thingy where you unlock bork can be used as a back way in and several of the slayer mask/helms from TH offer teleports that land in the tunnels.

Remove the buying limit from the grand exchange.
It's all to easy to forget there are a good number of players rich enough in raw gp that they can afford to buy like 100+ of even the very top end items like drygores for merching. Plus if you weren't around pre-buy limits to experience the market manipulations first hand that saw very common goods impossible to buy until they went up like 800% value its easy to not really think of it happening.

10th Nov 2014 - Prifddinas - Lost City of the Elves - Part 2
Dark Lord has been found too, as a number of people got it as soon as they got Lord of the Wait. It appears to be unlocked by having all the tiles from that city that aren't the hidden mod ones so like each clan, of tirriadad, statuesque, lorehound etc. Which just leaves Mod Sarah's 'the Troublesome' that we dont have a clue on.
