  1. Oh dear god... When everyone tells you that your dungeoneering knowledge is just terrible and that you shouldn't talk about things you have no idea about, why continue to produce mindless ''facts'' to make yourself look like an absolute [bleep]? And yeah, unless you are pure ranging(worst combat style by far in dg) a solo med with shortbow and never pick up any arrows, you will never have any problems with ammo soloing. The only real application of this update for effective dungeoneering is that hexes never have to worry about picking up arrows, although it was a minor inconvenience at best before it. I was thinking more along the lines of mage when you don't have the rc lvl to make the higher runes that don't really show up as drops too often. I've certainly come up short on some solo floors on med with runes on occasion. It's hardly a "mindless fact", its a situation I have found myself in and I was merely giving my OPINION on the reward and its usefulness.

I like the fact we had a puzzle boss, it came up a while ago in EW4 thread and many argued a boss monsters means combat while others suggested you could have a puzzle boss; this was a nice example of a puzzle boss. Also the extra runes/arrows are a god send for soloing; yes soloing is inefficient etc etc but some people enjoy it and it definitely can eat through ur ammo bind within 1 floor.
  3. Hopefully not the quest... Didn't wanna do a quest to get my cape back before bed. -.- We had teasers of the quest over weekend, quest is first in bts. It'll be the quest.
  4. Well is it or is not true if they block your path/firing range so that you cannot get passed that you must kill them? The answer is yes it is true. So where's the issue with what I said?

Its true it says that, but in prior bts slayer stuff they always worded it specifically as a drop. "Come across" does leave some ambiguity to its source. Most probably a drop though I do agree with that, even if its a drop from the vines opposed to the actual jadinko's. BTS does make the vine root thiniges sound sort of like a "must do" element, like how u must kill the undead that necrolord spawns they block ur path. Or how you must kill the mages at nex or even how you must kill troll father to remove the protection of the troll runts. But even thats probably a long shot. You should really stop talking about Dungeoneering, you almost never get it right. Well I've not go up that high and I might have boss wrong but ain't there one behind a wall of thing that you have to rnage/mage that spawns some sort of monster that you can't walk or fire through? Yeah from tip.it beastiary "The Necrolord is positioned behind a wall of undead arms reaching out of the floor, and can only be attacked using ranged or magic. You cannot move through or shoot over his skeletal minions. Even though the Necrolord is a spellcaster, magic attacks work fairly well against him." Thats what I was referring too, though I assume positioning yourself right against the wall removes his issue

  7. Java for mac ONLY updates via the in built software update function of the mac is all the java website will tell ya.
  8. The font looks blurry because all the edges are tapered out, you just need clean cut lines so the letters have defined outlines rather than merging out to just become blobs of colour. TBH I'd go back to the drawing board font wise because even ignoring the fuzz issues it doesn't read right. To me that says Bloo(infinity symbol)Spraq and with the blur the r is easily misread too which would make Bloo(infinity symbol)Sppaq. Also a common mistake that I think you've made based on "it looked good smaller" do NOT make the text object then just stretch it to fit as if it was an image. When placing text you change the font size until it fits. Resizing a text object to make it fit will blur and distort the lettering; changing the font size keeps it true to its original shape/form; plus most graphics softwares will anti-alias font edges anyway; which would cause excess blur if you changed the size of the object opposed to the font size.
  9. I could see this being true. Jadinko dropping vines makes sense, but the wording does leave it a bit ambiguous and it does mention "deciding how to attack or defend agaisnt their attacks" implying more than 1 method (assuming you class combat as 1 method regardless of sub-methods) and it mentions being attacked by roots and talking to the queen. I could imagine vine being obtained via the roots or the queen giving it to us for helping as well as a drop.
  10. This is only true when accuracy is less than 50%. Below that both attack bonus and str bonus provide equal amounts of dps increase. What on earth is less than below 50%? That makes no sense. Below 50% implies 49% and down, so how can you have less than it? By having any % accuracy lower than 50%... seriously how is this hard to comprehend? If you are hitting LESS than 50% of the time 1 pt str bonus will add an equal amount of dps as 1 pt attack bonus. Which is why in some situations a fighter hat is better than a neit helm for better dps I think you mean when accuracy is MORE than 50%, below that they provide equal boost. But tbh its virtually impossible to have accuracy that low once you get out of newb territory because all weapons give such big bonuses, particularly given the fact this guy clearly has 80+ attack and a CLS so accuracy is no issue at all. /facepalm Maxed solo set up a CLS is still less than 50% accurate on graar, it happens more than you think when bossing. It was hard to comprehend because you wrote nonsense. The way you explained it in the bold bits you clearly explained that under 50% 1 str = 1 att therefore implying you did infact mean my str > att was true OVER 50% But originally you said "This is only true when accuracy is less than 50%" to my post which said str > att; then tagged on the end below that str = att. It is not possible for str > att to be true < 50% AND for str = att below that. Because < 50% and below 50% are the same number range.
  11. This would be good advice, if it wasn't for the fact he clearly said he was doing tree runs AKA all the patches, but only had 1 tree that did not grow.
  12. You can use a spade to dig it up iirc. But no its not a bug: In every growth stage at the end the tree can do 1 of two things: Grow Become Diseased. Even when farmer protected this can happen. When disease is cured it sets it back to the start of that stage. (Say its 3rd growth stage of 5, itll restart stage 3) All it means is that tree keeps getting diseased and thus extending its growth time.

  14. I wouldn't stake anything on a hunch, cause its just a hunch. I don;t care if its right or wrong. I don't care if your personal analysis doesn't support it. Hunches don't need to make sense, they are just what you feel.
  15. You can gain 12 ranks maximum per hour and with suicide its fairly easy to reach (allows for 4 minute suicide and 1 minute recharge and wait) Which means it's doable in 25 hours game time; if you have the stuff to invest all banked. So realistically I'd estimate ~30 hours tops
  16. I'm not predicting anything, predictions require indepth reason and logic and clues to build; I'm just saying I've got a hunch, simple as that. You can waffle all you like about what you think and how you read precedent, it doesn't alter a thing. This is all OPINION there is no facts because its not out yet. Yes its perfectly reasonable to say slayer drops are likely to be tradeable based on prior monsters. But it is just as reasonable to say people have been asking for more equipment you have to earn yourself and not buy and jagex has being doing this so it could be untradable. It's just two different angles of looking at it. Neither is fact based as we don't have any facts until its out. Personally I feel it may be untradeable; end of matter.

  19. Not really. It'd just be 1 item; they are bound to have other drops. It's not even like 90% of the slayer drops are particular good money, most slayer money comes from other drops. But whatever this is all pointless I just have a hunch its gonna be untradable, or at the very least the whip will be once its upgraded. Just wait and see if it pans out that way or not.
  20. The logic of why change would lead to a stagnating game. Why change herblore and have untradable potions? Why change the combat triangle with new higher gear? etc. I just get the feeling its gonna be an untradable, theres a trend towards more untradable items and players have asked for it for a while. We'll find out either way in a few weeks time, its not like any of us know for sure and there is enough precedent for either case to be true.
  21. Yeah I'm not saying unique drops existing aren't part of the skill. Just the items themselves aren't really part of the skill because you don't need the skill personally to own them As for the trend of new stuff added in the past year or so only Nex and brackish blade have been tradeable (off the top of my head); compared to kosari, elite void, deflector, all the dg stuff, the top end herblore, the juju stuff etc. The recent trend has been towards untradables making the player earn the reward opposed to buy it in my opinion at least.

  23. Slayer the skill is about doing assigned tasks for xp. The drops aren't part of the skill itself, merely a bonus. Heck until this whip there's no items that are not slayer specific that even have a slayer req on them. I would associate the drops with the slayer skill or as part of the skill because you don't NEED slayer for any of them; you just go and buy them. I just think given the precedent of altered items being untradable (coloured whips etc), the trend for new high end gear to be earned not bought and the fact the whip requires 80 slayer and they loqest creature is possible 80 slayer it suggests its gonna be untradable.
  24. Or there will be 3 new slayer monsters with 3 new slayer drops, all tradeable. I doubt they are going to have a re-do on how the slayer skill works what with it being this popular and all. How would it be "redoing" the slayer skill in anyway? All I said was it was unclear if it meant they were 80,86,91 combat monsters that CAN be a slayer task (like giants, daggs etc etc) or those level slayer monsters (like banshees, abbys etc.) And not all slayer monsters have a new drop anyway so there's no reason to assume these three would have 3 new drops if they are indeed slayer monsters. And there's no reason it HAS to be tradable; modern trend is high end gear you have to EARN not just buy, so untradable does kinda make sense
