  1. Nothing need be done for Thok, Thok get everything Thok need with fists! All of them were really good. I await more sagas for the Abandoned 2 Furnished, Occult and Warped floors. I still can't stop smiling at the Ferret of Doom though, Thok's a hilarious character. Fixed. Saga one is unlocked in floor 1 - 11 so Frozen Saga 2 comes 12 - 17 aka Abandoned 18 - 29 is the furnished floors (not exactly but mostly) 30 - 35 - saga 3 in abandoned 2
  2. It's not hard to figure out: If it can be interacted with it's involved in the objectives. The only exceptions really are the fishing spot/vial cabinet and lever in Vengeance as they are used for 100% ruthless end but not for 100% noble.
  3. Meh non-members are just gonna have to cry a river. They aint gonna give loyalty rewards out to people who aint earning them profit. It'd be like your storecards giving u points when you dont shop there. Sure f2pers may be loyal to the game, but they aren't a loyal customer as such since they don't pay; just a fact of life really you're not gonna get rewards for not earning the company revenue.
  4. It's a clever way to get people to buy membership. I am 99% sure that Jagex's plan with the "Loyalty" crap is about money. And i bet there will be players going around with these "auras" thinking "I am loyal". Reality is, and with Dave chappelle voice: NO b1tch your a addict! Yeah loyalty schemes are all about brand loyalty and thus profit. Just saying loyalty scheme doesn't logically suggest microtransactions which cost extra money, as some people immediately jumped too, at all really.
  5. [hide] [/hide] Some loyalty program. I respect the gesture but that's basically a big 'screw you' to those who have already shown they were loyal before they even offered incentives. They raised a very good point though in that its a massive time scale to do it. They have 170mil accounts that have ever had members. Even if it took 0.1 seconds to check each account that'd be 17million seconds aka 28334 minutes (rounded up) 4723 hours; 196 days solid. Plus it'd be impossible to balance some people would be due 9 years worth of points; it'd be mental to release rewards that cost THAT much on the first few weeks of the program as it'd mean or it'd mean people could jsut buy all the rewards outright. As they put in in QA stuff quote nicely: This is a loyalty program for future loyalty starting from the date it is launched. You'll soon see the various levels of loyalty pan out as long term permanent members get the big boosts of points for consecutive months etc.
  6. They only needed to explain it because the majority of Runescapers haven't played other MMOs and thus don't know basic systems Runescape doesn't use, like loyalty rewards. I had to read the BTS over several times because i couldn't figure out where people were seeing microtransactions before someone in this thread finally made the connection between the two. Forget other MMO's just grasp of general language and marketing. Loyalty Rewards = rewards for being loyal. Rewards = gifts/status aka not paid something you bought. Loyalty = being a continued customer and thus showing brand loyalty Ergo loyalty rewards are gonna be free stoofs for being a loyal runescape customer.

I have no idea on rates number wise but I can safely say: Wilderness is best xp rate til ~65-70 Ape Atoll is best til ~80 Dorge beats ape to ~83 (though it annoys some ppl) ~83 (summer pies) advanced gnome owns ~87 Advanced barb owns. (pies again) Skullball is useless Agility pyramid is good at low levels but useless for ~40+ Peng is jsut plain useless Normal barb is only good til u get to wildy Brimhaven is insanely slow xp Yanille isnt a trianing palce werewolf is useless It's not a skill where the methods come remotely close to each other in terms of efficiency or xp rates.
  8. Hmm I missed the second objective in the 3s company one. Anybody got a clue what each of the 4 objectives are?
  9. Not to shabby did c2 floor 1. Found he guy then bear skin appeared in his room. now to skip to 12 to look for the swords
  10. Don't seem to be a big issue. Jst c2 rush instead of c1 rush til u find the items etc. Shouldn't make too big a dent in the xp rates
  11. From this Portuguese BTS extra info I get to say: CALLED IT lol
  12. This makes the most sense to me, I was just pondering it myself. I could see it being (if its not flat rate): first 2 months = nothing 3 - 6 months gets x points a month 6 - 12 gets 2x points 1 yr - 2 yrs gets 3x 2 yrs+ gets 4x so more loyalty = more reward And rather than being microtranscations which I really dont think LOYALTY rewards suggest. It would actually be down to being loyal and incentivise longterm membership
  13. That underlined/bold is exactly what they want to do, they've mentioned it loads of times before. Really? I've never heard them mention it before, care to link me a source? I don't have a source, but I believe Jagex once considered implementing micropayments under Iddison's lead. Iddison era sources don't count though because he did a crap load of game ruining money maker schemes they they complete back pedalled and tore out after getting rid of him rather quickly. I mean he was only there for like a year! And of that year the most notable thing would of been the gnomecoptor advertising and the other become a member! things from clicking members stuff in f2p.
  14. Given that loyalty rewards are probably gonna be untradable I don;t see it being a huge bot market
  15. I've never heard them mention microtransactions. I have heard them say they do not want rl money to give an in-game advantage thou. Based off that and the mention of auras giving "buffs" I'm gonna hope the loyalty scheme is just some form of extension of the if u have members for over a yr the price goes down a bit thing. Some how combining time played, time as a member and in-game activities into points to buy these items
  16. Lol, seems like someone "typoed" the each in. Especially when the required items says around 700 coins; which is 200gp for the carpet ride and 500gp for the camels. Well spotted.
  17. In my experience (I've wrote to agents before) thats not at all right. You're meant to do a formal cover letter that covers who you are, and very briefly (like 1 or 2 sentences) gives the genre and a vague overview of the core plot points of the story. It should be addressed to "Dear Sir"; that is the convention for writing to unknown people and it should end with Yours faithfully, yours truly or yours sincerely; for formalities sake you are meant to do faithfully (Uk) and truly (US) if its sent to unknown persons. Then a lot of what you've put should be put in a synopsis/plot overview as the general submission package is cover letter synopsis and the 3 chapters. Also synopsis for publishers/agents should not be so vague and back of book/advert style. It should literally cover the core plot points from start to end in plain detail; they don't want an advert they want to know precisely where the book is going too so they can evaluate the depth/worth of the plot. I may be wrong but thats what I've used and found to be recommended by most advice sites. As for the novel concept I dunno it sounds very generic to me; when the fantasy market is one of the most overfilled I dunno if such a generic sounding work would appeal a young hero is kinda cliche, broken down family/lover relationship again kinda cliche, a victim figure with mental issues again quite cliche, a world of deception and darkness from which he msut triumph again very cliche. You may have some genisu twist in there but what you've written just screams generic dark fantasy to me. But summaries are a pain in the ass to write well, so it could just be bad summary/concept writing.
  18. Well prior to editing your post you complete misconstrued what I had posted in a way that made no sense as a reading of what I had written, not that it really makes a huge deal of sense post-edit either given it still relies on the assumption no update weeks = missed. It's hardly an argument either. All I did with disagree with you, then defend my point from being totally misread and twisted.
  19. Actually if you totally it up proper, by ignoring spilt update news posts (eg theres like 4 or 5 1st feb 2010 but thats 1 update since it all came at once. It's jsut been split into many detailed posts rather than a singular post with subsections) jan - may 2010 - 19 updates. jan - may 2011 - 19 updates.
  20. Yeah I just meant the task guide lists the most direct way to do each task rather than covering all possible circumstances. Ergo give the most efficient way to do EACH task, not necessarily the diary as a whole. None of the other tasks that have slower/less reliable alternatives list them. Like I said the gem rocks in tai bwo wanni clean up aren't that common, unless your lucky, and its not a reliable way to do the task when compared to "walk to a gem rock that is always there, mine til u get the topaz" Just my thoughts.
  21. It is worth being mentioned because you need to get 100% approval rating and I have got 2 red topaz gems from that. So you wouldn't need to go to shilo anymore. I know got 100% without seeing a single gem rock. Everyone I know who completed it never got gem rocks. Besides since in any logical order tai bwo wanni comes first surely if by sheer luck you get the topaz during tht task you can just skip it later? Why go to the hassle of explaining a chance based less efficient method of doing the task?
  22. Learn to read. I said they hardly ever MISS updates or DELAY them out of the month. And acknowledge yes they do have 1 no update week a month now, but thats not a missed update as its part of the plan. They told us ages ago they plan to have 1 no update week a month to allow more dev time to updates and they have done that, its not a missed update because they never claimed there would be an update. It's not been missed, it is planned. Yes this weeks is obviously been delayed and thus is slightly in to june; but theres not been a case of an actual update being delayed. It's like if your got pills from the doctor and was told to take 1 a week for 3 weeks, skip a week then repeat. You've not "missed" a pill in that week off as there was never meant to be a pill in that week. Or if you work on a rota and do 3 7 day weeks then a 5 day week. You haven't "missed" two days of work cause you weren't meant to be working in the first place.
  23. There was a disclaimer at the end of May BTS thou so i think Jagex knew they had set a tight deadline. Not all months have had a disclaimer at the bottom. They only started adding the disclaimer once everyone got sick of the constant delays on updates and starting raging (like anyone would after you're told you'd get something - to have it taken away from you for a later date). And let's be honest here, years ago they hardly ever missed an update. Now it's what, once or twice a month? It's getting a bit rediculous now. I don't know whether they're putting more staff on another game of theirs or what, but I'm kinda over all these delays. This was probably the only update for this month I was actually looking forward to, cause I hate dungeoneering and figured a different approach would be good. I think I should just have the mindset that anything in BTS will come out the next month instead. That way I don't get ANY hopes up. I don't usually rant about this sort of thing but I have taken all these delays again and again and again and again. They might as well have no BTS at this rate. Also, inb4someonesayswhocarestheupdateistomorrow-yeahwellihaveheardthatonebeforetoo. All I'll say is the proof is in the pudding, and right now it's getting a bit mouldy. They started adding it when dumb whiney noobs failed to understand that BTS was planned updates and that in coding/dev work delays do happen and that BTS in was no way a 100% guaranteed promise to occur just the intended months plan. Also they ahrdly ever miss updates atm, yes they take a week off once a month, but they never miss an update. This is the first one in aaagggggges thats been outside the intended month and even then its only gonna be by a day.
  24. Before you posted it people did warn you that in suggestions forums if you don't bump it every day it will get lost to page 50...
