  1. Standard bonus xp event protocol is anything that gives a multiplier normally is turned off. This includes brawlers, the ectofunctus and gilded altars. All in all prayer is hands down the *worst* skill to train during bonus weekends because you actually get worse xp than you would normally.
  2. I think the livestream has more to do the fact there isn't a lot to really show off. We've had the contents of the city pretty throughly explained and there isn;t exactly interest in showing us mining or wcing or farming spots beyond LOOK ITS HERE. The only playable unique content is really the slayer D&D. Between keeping some stuff secret, and it just being general training methods theres just not lot to show off beyond it looking nice. Batch 2 can fair mildly better because it has crystal singing, motherlode and the agility course, but again beyond that there isn't exactly much to show off that isn't just generic stuff.
  3. I sincerely hope this polls 'tidy up and remove clipping issues' isn't the extent of the "rework" and that this does just pertain to the icons with further polls to follow because i voted for a skill cape REWORK not a skillcape tidy up of clipping issues, but ultimately still the same.
  4. Fish flingers is alot easier than you might expect overall. knowing each hook/weight/bait is only used for one fish per game + 2 step method + fcs = epic easy For anyone who doesn't know: 2 Step method is a way to find the correct bait/hook/weight in 2 steps for any given fish, based on the fact you get 0% 16% or 33% subject to correctness (numbers aren't exact for all cases cause rounding but close enough that you can follow it) For bait: Every bait has 2 similar - 1 by colour and 1 by shape you can arrange them into a circle of sorts using this (worm, shrimp, crayfish, grey moth, green moth, locust, cricket, maggot, back to worm) so each one is between the two similar (e.g. worm is same shape as maggot and same colour as shrimp) You pick a bait that hasn't been used at random (e.g. worm) - see percent. Then pick a bait that is 3 steps away on the 'circle' (e.g. grey moth) - view percent: No change in percent means they are both equal wrong, eliminating 2 colours and 2 shapes for 6/8 baits (e.g worm, shrimp, crayfish, grey moth, green moth and maggots) Leaving just 2 possible baits (e.g. cricket or locust) If the percent drops by 16% it is similar to where you started (e.g. shrimp or maggot) If the percent drops by 33% you were right before (e.g. worm) If the percent goes up by 33% you are correct now (e.g. grey moth) If the percent goes up by 16% you need a similar bait (e.g. crayfish or green moth) For no change and + or - 16% just change to 1 of the two +16% shift means the other, 33% shift means correct. For hooks it is a similar process but simpler as hooks are in similar pairs (regular and slim, large and double, wood and bone) Pick a hook (e.g. regular) - see percent Change to a non-similar hook (e.g. wood) - see percent No change - it's in the other pair (e.g. large or double) +16% - other one of current pair (e.g. bone) -16% - other one of original pair (e.g. slim) +33% - your right (e.g. wood) -33% - original was right (e.g. regular) For weights again very similar, but quite easy, similar weights are 1 either side (so 1 and 3 are similar to 2) Start with 2 or 5 weight (for e.g. lets go 2) - see percent Swap to the other (e.g. 5) - see percent -16% - 1 or 3 +16% - 4 or 6 -33% - 2 +33% - 5 Using the method with a bit of practice you can get the combos very quickly, bait is the hardest bit to remember the order and as on fish 6 there is gonna be 3 options left. But as you find each combo it makes the next ones easier as you eliminate options so by the time you go to fish 6 you should get 66% on first cast. Plus of course grabbing the hint from the shop guy before the game starts helps you know when a certain option belongs to a certain fish. E.g. if he said cod like red bait and you have used shrimp but not got cod you know nothing can be worms other than the cod.
  5. As long as the game receives some input from you it deems you active. Chatting/entering text and slightly rotating the camera are the most common place examples of ways to keep the account logged in without actually playing. However there is no way to keep it logged in without any user input at all, unless you are straying into rule breaking territory with autoclickers etc that make the in put for you.
  6. That and compound on the use of the spell used to initially hide the stone of jas after the world wakes. Further more they could touch on how sliske got the stone via a guthix cache despite never explicitly saying it was a cache in the first place.Sliske got the stone via looking for it using the Dragonkin he captured. It's revealed in Missing Presumed Death. It could be in one of a few locations depending on where you sent it at the end of RotM.It was sent to a place using random coordinates which you chose one of. That could easily been teleported into a hidden cache. The dragonkin are in essence just honing beacons to the stone so once he got close it would get enraged. No. Being near the stone does not enrage the kin. The stone being used enrages the kin. Also we were given quite a detailed account of how he used the Staff of Armadyl alongside the kin to find the stone, it wasn't some hotter colder game of waving a kin around looking for it - which wouldn't work in the first place. Also yes it would be possible the stone landed in a hidden cache, but the odds are severely against it of all the possible co-ordinate combinations on the entire planet the vast majority are not going to land in any kind of open space, constructed or otherwise. Plus I don't think from a narrative viewpoint there is any reason for the stone to of been anywhere other than randomly buried - it doesn't add anything to the narrative arc since the stone was hidden for such a short timeframe and even it did land in somewhere long hidden Sliske shadow realmness means its arrival and removal could be done with no trace left behind in the environment
  7. Sword shattering pertains to 3rd age and the slumber 2.0 - you dam kids will get outta my world, not the 1st age slumber 1.0 - ugh they are worshipping me #fail. Not a 100% fact, but all evidence would suggest it: Sword location: entrance to slumber 2.0 location. Sword power: portals between worlds = bad when you are trying to seal a world off. Sword of edicts: Seems likely the sword of edicts is some how linked with the elder sword given the sheer power and the closeness of their functions. Lack of care for elder artefacts in slumber 1.0: When Guthix arrived on Gielinor the staff, horn and stone were here and known to him. He left them lying around whilst he slumber so that mortals found the stone and got magic, armadyl found the staff and claimed it and the horn (seemingly) went off world to ascend Marimbo and then came back again to be obtained by Quinn. Also he didn't even explore enough to find the Kiln.
  8. I'm not sure if I like the idea of Guthix having 'caches' hidden around - seems kinda at odds with the idea that he tried to be forgotten and hide away and was asleep for the majority of his time here. Though of the other hand they could be a good way to throw in some 1st age lore - world mostly empty wouldnt be to hard to hide stuff and tht was when guthix was active.
  9. The spots will 2 fish will give you whichever fish your setup offers the highest percentage for, sometimes when finding 100% you'll notice you jump between the species enroute. Once you have found one at 100% just change ur tackle hook and weight to something completely different and then start focusing on the 2nd species alone. E.g. If spot is salmon and cod and you have 100% salmon and are looking for cod if at any point you start catching salmon undo that setup change.
  10. Mmmm that sweet sweet 1/1253th of a lvl lamp. In noob land lvls they are sort of alright you can get like 1/8 1/3 1/4 kinda figures, it's around lvl 50 they turn to junk as they are like 1/20th or worse. But then with an event every 200k xp or so you can do lvl 1 - 57 before you get one so...
  11. I didn't find them to be any effort at all, all very basic with simple tricks/knowledge tied to beating them and they only really ever offered junk I immediately dropped.
  12. The context of what he meant by 'today' is debatable - the issue reared it's head for the 8pm event and then he said that at around 9pm. Given that context "todays" could of easily just meant the 12am and 4am ones that rounded off that round of jmod events, with "tomorrow" being the 10am onwards ones
  13. They were boring and annoying imo, they weren't even random. Once you'd done ~10 so had the rarest occurrence rate you could predict them by xp gains (around every 200k xp if memory serves) withe the exception of random free areas where you'd be lynched as soon as u left the area.
  14. I thought they could only be repaired when degraded at the dark mage, but repair pouch spell let you do it anytime.
  15. I'm also in the 'don't care' camp when it comes to the next three adventurers.

  17. I'm honestly kinda psyched hes going. Whilst he has done better than some CEO (like his predecessor) in terms of game vision he still came across as far too business minded to really GET the game and what it really needed. Of course there does need to be a business mind in the CEO, but it'd be nice to see someone with more of the creative gets gaming elements in the mix too so that the one with the power to steer the company as a business is guided by a balance of good for the game and good for the books. Mod Pips strikes me as a very good one to take over, he always seems to be responsive and gets the playerbase from what I've seen.
  18. Well it appears they smothered it with a great big coating of 'we will give no-one a single reason to complain for once so stfu' cream on the whole concept. Hopefully that will appease all the potential whinings.
  19. It is the users fault if they want it back. It wasn't a 'mistake' on Jagex part. They decided to make the Imcando an upgrade on dragon pick and slapped a nice shiny warning on it that you can never get the dragon pick back. Why should they back pedal on that just because a better pick has come a long and you suddenly regret using up a dpick to make imcando? No-one forced you to make it and you were given clear warning that you would not be able to get it back - that is no-ones 'fault' but your own if you now want it back. Sure the worth of imcando being a dpick upgrade is and always was debatable, but ultimately whether it was the right design choice or not it was implemented and ample warning was given that you would not be able to disassemble it. So there is no issue and no fault by Jagex that you suddenly what the d pick back, since its your own fault for using it in a can not taken apart upgrade when you might've wanted it back some day. Plus it is rather short-sighted to not expect higher level tools to come out someday in due course - it's the nature of an mmorpg that until you have max level items there will always be new stuff coming out bit by bit and well before imcando was even a glimmer of a thought we had heard talk of t70, t80 and t90 smithing stuff including, at they very least in t70, pick and hatchet in concepts for rework. There was never a doubt that t70 tools would be coming and d pick/imcando would become outclassed.
  20. Afaik you rank can only go down if its not already maxed out, because at Master level the counter kinda vanishes so there is nothing to take stuff away from in order to lower it. But I don't really see why you care what your white knight rank is, in terms of gameplay it has precisely 0 implications beyond what gear you can buy from their shop and being a comp req.
  21. Afaik the starting rarity is equal to that of the armour dropped at gwd (bandos, arma and subj) on bosses and slightly rarer on normal mobs, that rate is then modified to be more common based on your contribution to that particular god in the world events. E.g. if You did a buttload in event 2 but it was all for Armadyl - Armadyl would drop more commonly, but Bandos would not.
  22. It'd be stupid to try and run simultaneous combat modes with different requirements on items. It'd also entirely break the EoC systems and setup to restore old requirements to gear. Legacy mode never promised to be exactly like pre-eoc combat, it only emulates it, items not having their exact old requirements is just one small difference that affects a tiny number of items. Things change, deal with it, just be thankful you got a nice shiny override to hide abilities and make it feel like pre-eoc so you don't have to adapt completely.
  23. Shocking news just in: Level 50 armour still requires level 50 to use regardless of combat mode.
  24. I'm still missing 10 pieces of skilling outfits all told.
