  1. It kinda is the US place when one of the other most powerful nations in the world is invading democratic people. It is kinda the place of all the big powers - US, Uk, France, Germany etc. to step up and say no you cannot just invade other democratic countries in the 21st century. Turning a blind eye to it would basically be an invitation to another attempt at a Nazi Empire, just a Russia one. I mean Germany passed a few discriminatory laws and people turned a blind eye and said its not our place, then Germany held the olympics and no-one made any major stand against their discriminatory laws so then Germany started to slowly invade its neighbouring countries. Now take Germany out of all those sentences and put in Russia. This road only leads to World War 3 unless the world and its most powerful leaders send to a strong message to Putin that this is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. At this point it doesn't even have to be military action, Nato, the UN etc. can pass much more hard hitting sanctions - Russia assets in foreign countries can be frozen, they can stop all trading with russia, they can evict all russian diplomats and embassies, they can make shops strip all russian made products from their shelves. The big businesses who hold much sway in russia are unlikely to turn a blind eye to Putin continuing down this path if they suddenly have heaps of their assets frozen and cannot continue to trade affectively.
  2. I haven't found instaselling to be an issue for notifications because I'm already sat in the app when it sells and therefore a notification doesn't occur. I've only got notifications once I close the app, which hasn't been spammy for me yet but I could see how it might if you selling items that do go reasonbly quick, but not quite instantly.
  3. ^ Plus you need to pay 300 anagoric orts a week to receive the buff of the avatar.
  4. Remember that really awesome concept art they showed us like 2 years ago now for abyssals and we were all like omg do want and then they took forever to bother doing it? Yeah they kinda didn't quite live up to that in the new model, the way parts of it are done (like the tentacle things on the front) just seem kinda like the graphics they were churning out 2-3 years ago and not quite up to par with what we know they can achieve in the present game.
  5. Yeah this tues/wed reset just gone is the last time the aura will recharge with xp for the year, but until next tues/wed reset you still have the 1 last charge to use up before it is utterly dead.
  6. FINALLY the app is an actual app
  7. Don't be silly that would and a simple and obvious game mechanic that in-keeps with every iota of description of that prayer - on what planet would Jamflex make that work? Next you'll be telling me you expect new magic spells to use runes and new weapons to be combat items!
  8. Tried banking the hardmode ticket? After all you do have to beat the Queen once after the update has gone live before you can do hard mode at all. It sets your hard mode wave to 0 until you do so and even after then on hard mode you are limited to only waves you have previously beaten. So in order to get the Penance King kill the bear minimum is a normal wave 10 ticket to secure a queen kill, followed by waves 1-10 hard mode.
  9. I would advise ignoring the advice that says there is no point getting it up into the 80s+ - the 3 most useful familiars in-game by far are the steel titan, the unicorn and the pak yak and levels 99, 96 and 88; not to mention the lava titan at 83 which is great for mining. Even in the few levels beyond the bunyip you have 69 for the fruit bat, a handy low-end money maker, and 71 the arctic bear, great for hunting. Of course it is an expensive skill to train high, but thats no reason to not even attempt to reach the big hitters someday.
  10. Bonus xp in a nut shell offers you double xp. If you have 100 bonus xp stored and do something that gives 100xp it will give out 200xp - 100 regular xp and 100 bonus. If you have 10 bonus xp stored and do something gives 100xp it'd give 110xp - 100 regular xp and 10 bonus. If you have 200 bonus xp and do something that gives 100xp it will give 200xp - 100 regular and 100 bonus, with 100 bonus left to use later.
  11. Since ages ago? Believe you only need to feed kittens/cats...I've never fed a single pet Yeah when that pets to the interface land update was on dec 2012 bts and they couldn't make it work they turned off hunger for all pets, other than cats (as they use a different older system) as a compromise until they figured out how to do it. Whilst hunger still rises and we get warnings absolutely no pet, other than cats, will run away from hunger. I've have raised 3 dragons, among other pets, as recently as 2 months ago without feeding them a thing.
  12. There isn't really any reason for combat to be dependant on ticks - attack speeds and abilities have their own innate timings that could run with or without ticks. All removing ticks from it would do is allow more responsiveness instead of delays to wait for a tick to happen. As for movement, that is kind a bit more reliant on a tick based system just for data management, but if they moved farming ticks off that system and bid a bit of back-end work to make the timings of skills rely on themselves opposed to a centralised tick they could run the main tick at a much higher speed which would allow movement and interface clicks etc to register more seamlessly.
  13. 5th role is stand at the horn of glory and sort out the calls for all the noobs who cannot comprehend 'call the one that it says at the top of the screen'
  14. Having all roles lvl 5 is already a comp req, so if they did add Penance Slayer title to trim it'd simply be a case of doing 1 game wave 1-10 in hard mode.
  15. They don't literally have a defence level, it's just a way to explain the mechanics of woodcutting (and mining) simply as in essence they boil down to the same raw mechanic as hit chance: Your tool has a particular accuracy or chance to hit. The object being affected has a particular defence or chance to avoid being hit. Tools roll a random number (say between 1 and 100) and specific numbers are assigned as hit or miss, higher accuracy means more are assigned as hit. The object 'defending' itself will also roll and again specific numbers are hit or miss, higher level trees and ores have more numbers assigned as miss. To get a resource from an object your tool has to land on hit and the object has to land on hit also. For tools it means a higher tool has more chances to get resources and thus you collect quicker. For trees and rocks it means a higher one has more chances to stop you getting resources and thus they take longer to collect. This mechanic is basically identical to how attack/accuracy and defence works in combat, all that is missing is the strength/damage roll which will decide how much damage the attack does (minus any soak or reduction effect supplied by the opponents defence)
  16. Go to any fansite. Open their list of all quests in-game. This is your list of quests you should work towards doing. Why? Because they all offer some reward and is is inevitable that at some point those noob quests you ignored because it wasn't anything big will become a long chain requirement for a big quest and then you'll be mad cause you gotta spend like a day or 2 wading through them all to get the 1 reward.
  17. In essence the way to think of it is: It's 5-10% more efficient, so take 7.5% as a middle value. That means then for every 100 minutes spent woodcutting you have saved 7.5 minutes. So if you spend 100 minutes woodcutting you need to make the 2.2m in under 7.5 minutes for it to be efficient. If you spend 1000 minutes woodcutting, you have up to 75 minutes to make the 2.2m It all hinges on how fast you can money make, but since wc is quite a slow skill it is hard to not end up with a good enough time saved margin to warrant using it.
  18. Personally I do not think most NPCs are all that hostile on the whole. Yes there and examples of specific races and tribes that vary between wary and out right hostile to outsiders based on historic events, but on the whole people are quite nice and very pro-adventurer. Plus most that are shut of or hostile we get to turn around and gain their trust through quests and such - e.g. we earn the respect of the main fremenniks and become an honorary one, then we also gain favour with the mountain tribe, the lunar clan, the kingdoms of Miscellenia and Ecteria and Neitiznot (not to mention the outliers at the outpost and gunnar's ground) - in fact at present the only fremennik group/ruler who actively dislikes us in the King of Jatizo. Which is quite good going considering they all were kinda wary to outright hostile towards us to begin with.
  19. Clearly you understand the part of the lore where the entire city is inside that seed and doesn't exist at the time of the final battle. =P
  20. The purpose of the feature is a nice boon to make it more likely you will get prizes from the categories you desire. It is not supposed to be a means to fully control a game a chance and lock it down to only give out 1 type of reward. It'd be far to unbalanced and over powered if you could force treasure hunter to only give you 1 category of items.
  21. Not really, it only appears once for the entire 24 hour period and being in the chat box only its nice and tucked out of the way in a format you do not have to do anything at all with - opposed to it being a pop up window or something. You can just get on with your gaming and allow game messages and chat to naturally make it vanish in due course without it hindering your gameplay in anyway at all.
  22. Jagex difficulty tends to have two polar opposites: We tested it as normal players and died therefore we say it is hard, but real players will sail through it until we over buff it in a kneejerk reaction and then take months to balance it right. We tested it using mod powers like infinite health and over-boosted stats and found it ok, therefore it is 'doable' by mid-high level players, but real players will be utterly destroyed and we will nerf things later - right about when the related markets stabilise cause lol chaos.
  23. Yeah there is nothing forcing you to do them, if you just ignore them all that happens is you get a small chat box message the first time you log on each day listing the new task - hardly a game ruining intrusion. Even if you max out and turn a bunch off you can't escape that 1 chat box messages because it instead tells you how you didn't get one due to turned off skills.
  24. I was watching them die a few times on hard mode and saying as you can see its not easy and you probably will die a few times at first. My immediate thought was it doesn't look all that hard - mostly you are making stupid mistakes (e.g. attackers not switching stances) and by the laws of jagex difficulty vs reality the omg its hard cause we are dying probably translates to level ~50-80 people brand new to it will die a few times, anyone with reasonable gear who knows how BA works will sail through with relative ease.
