Yeah kind of silly I suppose but it only incorporates those benefits in if you have a full set. Well, I do have full wicked, in my POH, but the game says 'I don't own them'. Odd that it does work with the elven thieving set while having full ibis in my POH. You have the full ethereal outfit then? Tbf Golems didn't work with gold in poh at launch Exoskele didn't work with ibis in poh at launch. Is it any surprise that for the third time it doesn't work with outfits in poh at launch.

I doubt it means anything for any menu order beyond gatestones. Afterall it makes sense for gatestones - the only thing you ever want/need to do with them from inventory is drop. Logs and other such things still have other functions to perform considered more important than dropping.
-
Future Update Discussions
That would be practically useless since you just put it on the action bar to drop anyway. I mean if they did that for logs or something I would be happy, or let us configure the order of options. On the other hand I've never seen the stone in the middle... Third red gatestone is a dg task set reward. It's not new. The thing they are teasing is the drop order.

Polls General Discussion
For me the main issues they hit with the main game polls is: 1) They almost never give things a threshold to win - it's just biggest number. So often times the 'winner' was actually wanted by less than 1/2 of voters. 2) They put things in to be polled as an "idea" without having checked game balance first and therefore end up cutting features which were exactly the features that garnered votes. 3) Instead of polling A feature they more often than not poll several features that should ALL be happening against each other, then use our votes to justify new content not happening as it lost in the poll.

Where do they say "skillcape"? In the giant interface title that says 'skillcape customiser'

Iowerth title question
If you are on a dark beast slayer task - co-op, solo, forced, viped, normal, extended w/e - that was given by Morvran it counts towards the title when completed.

Best combat familiar
Of course nihils each only boost 1 style (ice/smoke - magic, blood - melee, shadow - ranged) and it is only ice nihil that has the reduction effect to stop it being an exact clone of smoke + the effect is only a chance at reduction, not guranteed)

[Update] Prifddinas - Lost City of the Elves
Its funny because the only hidden title remotely interesting is the dark elf one. Honestly i dare jagex to test their mettle in creating a good set of titles for batch 2. Sorry had to grammar nazi that one. Meddle - interfering in something tht don't concern you Mettle - ability to cope with difficulties, courage to carry on.

I went for front & shoulders 5, back 2 and symbol 3, but I also said I wanted back tassels.

So what this thread tells me is that one poll they did with a very minor tidy up of the skillcapes - they expected that to be the entire rework and then had to pull it when people kinda pointed out we asked and voted for a full rework not a spruce up to fix long standing issues.

Runefest 2014 Discussion
I'm still wondering what they'll have for the runescape 2015 session since they could just repeat the runescape 2014 one seeing as basically none of that stuff came out.

Runefest 2014 Discussion
On a scale of 1 - 10 I rate that game concept on omg I had to take 3 tries to read it cause I was so un-interested. It's like some dumb online web game from the early 90s when they tried to take stuff like pokemon cards digital and crashed and burned.

POP Endgame Advice
Merchants should be on every single boat at all times - statistically they work out better in the long run. Say, to use an example more extreme than is real, that using a merchant dropped your voyage success by 20% from 90 to 70. Voyage paying out 8 trade goods. Run at 90% over time you'd expect 7.2 trade goods per voyage (90% success, so 90% return) Stick merchant on and run at 70% - you'd expect 7.4 trade goods per voyage. (33% boost, then 70% return) If you use a more realistic example and say you'd only lose 5% success, expected return is 9 trade goods per voyage. It may seem counterintuitive to run with lower percents to take merchants, but in the grand scheme of things the boost payout from success more than offsets the extra failures.

[Update] Prifddinas - Lost City of the Elves
Tbf all the mod related titles are hidden with weird ways to unlock them - they just have varying scales of need. Elfbourne came quickly because Osbourne couldn't keep it secret. Stupendous took a while to figure out because Stu kept quiet. Ravenworth will take longer because Ravens and the 13 theme fit together, it'll still be quicker than finding that darn Ga'al after BoE! Plus we don't even know what will come in batch 2, odds are another 3 hidden mod titles await with god knows what reqs. The bit I do dislike however is the fact the ravens despawn after 13 hours; that kind makes it unfair on various timezones. E.g. the next spawn will be on a friday. Uk time that'll mean they are around from 1am to 2pm - I have to get up at 6.30am for work and don't exactly have time to hunt a raven before heading out the door, but it'll be gone by the time I get home at 5pm.

Recent trend to include PvM into Comp Cape, i.e. Rush of Blood [Split]
I approve of this strategy. Got hit by major lag + forget darklight like a derp and I still came close to 17 waves. Try tomorrow on my good pc and remember darklight and 20 shuld be a breeze.

Of course there is a stark difference between pvm progression where you have to develop actual skills and deal with new circumstances and the progression of clicking on a slightly different button in a make-x interface and sitting back to larger xp pops. Also there is the contrast in that there isn't really a curve to be good at most skills, you just do (even ones with somewhat of a curve to the meta methods you can just do and still be fine). In PvM there is a curve to learn to get good and curve that if you get stuck on you can't get further. And of course arguable you do only do a skill once. One experience the gambit of 1-99 once and equally for this boss req you only need to technically do it once - the need for repetition due to potential for failure makes it rather different from skills in that respect. You can't set out to do a 99 skill and fail outright - you might stop or miss your planned deadline but what you have achieved remains. If you fail a boss kill thats it back to square one on progress.

Of course your test has a few flaws: Top end ports stuff and drygores aren't exactly 'novice pvmer' gear - more like gwd or barrows with chaotics. Regardless of gear used or purposeful actions the fact remains you are a good pvmer - you can't replicate the panic, chaos, incorrect actions etc a real novice or bad pvmer experiences. There is no way for a seasoned pvmer to experience it the way a novice does and there is no way for a good pvmer to experience it the way a bad pvmer does because beyond what you do or don't do in the game the fundamental biological reactions of the human body differ between the experiences. All your test really proves is that it is eminently possible for a good pvmer to purposeful make a few mistakes and still survive.

DPS rotations
Never thought of that, how does that stack up with consideration of dps lose from sacrificing the better neck slot items though? Plus how does the 10% boost actually stack up when the ~9-15% drain on opponent is factored in?

[Update] Prifddinas - Lost City of the Elves
Seems fair though they should reset it to 1/13 rather than total reset. I got 7/13 off one raven and I was aware of the spam click thing, but I wasn't trying to abuse it. Between lag and over excitedness I have a tendency to spam click anyway for all sorts of stuff of that ilk e.g. penguins - just so happened they combined to result in 7 spots, especially given my excitement on finding a raven spawn that was not on any lists at the time and still hasn't made it to rs wiki.

I don't know, for Karamja tasks they didn't say "complete the fight caves", they just had you equip the cape in the tzhaar area. They could do something similar with the titles. True but that is kinda the exception that proves the rule and still kinda not retroactive in some ways for anyone who had lost/disposed of the fire cape.

In terms of prayer curses is flat out better if you have the levels. Deflects beat protects because of added recoil, not they are used as much these days. Soul split beats anything in normal cause healing by damaging. Turmoil, Anguish and Torment outstrip Piety Augury and Rigour

The only time jagex has retroactived task sets is where you literally cannot redo the content because 'we want to show off replay value' So I wouldn't be surprised if 20 waves on say hard or medium RoB is on there without retro active - I doubt platinum would make it because 99 req. Also wouldn't surprise me if morvran's special made it on there.

[Update] Prifddinas - Lost City of the Elves
Well unless I'm being blind they did not spawn today and given that they disappeared 13 hours after they originally spawned apparently the idea of a 13 day gap seems more and more plausible.

Recent trend to include PvM into Comp Cape, i.e. Rush of Blood [Split]
You are very welcome to think my observation was illogical, but at the end of the day it was my observation of an element of the debate I found interesting. I'm not all that bothered whether or not anyone beyond my own mind deems it logical or reasonable or w/e. It is simply a thought from my own mind that I found interesting and chose to point it out as such. I didn't put it out there to be argued or debated. I just put it out there as an expression of something I found intriguing with no relevance to the overall debate of the thread that only happened to occur in this thread because it was this thread where the forms of argument occurred. Anyway since I seem to have been rather drawn into this thread I may as well outline where I have fallen in terms of the whole requirements debate: 1) I think before these pvm changes came to comp there was already more pvm-based content on the comp reqs than most on the pro-side of the argument admit and it weakens their arguments to deride the cape as having had no pvm and having been pure grind. Certainly it was not top flight pvm, but it was there to a certain degree. 2) From a personal stand point I would've preferred Reaper never came to the cape as I am beyond awful at pvm. 3) From an objective standpoint it is not the worst notion for pvm to play a bigger role in the capes reqs; it is after all a core part of the game whether or not we all chose to engage with it. 4) I think Rots and Rago were a mistake to move from trim reqs to the main cape. I think because they were already trim reqs it kinda felt like Jagex were retconning precedent by moving them over. I also feel as definite team content they don't entirely fit with the general solo-ness that comp previously held. Plus I feel like in this instance they could've reasonably catered to the 'can't beat thorough no fault of their own' groups by not including these bosses. 5) That being said now they are on there, for better or for worse, I think the ship has sailed and there is little point in trying to take them off. There is a solid case for them to be there, just as much as there is for them to not, and with the ship already sailed it'd be to damaging to try and go back now. 6) I think Araaxor is a bit of a hot button issue that is hard to truly judge on as it hasn't been in-game long enough for the full trickle down effect of setups to kill it welfare style to have been recognised and well documented to the same degree as other bosses. However it does appear well within the bounds of reasonable to kill and doesn't touch on the whole team or not issue of rago and rots so with the reqs as they are I see little cause for it to be a special case. 7) I think Jagex were right to not go ahead with taking Araaxor off the elf city comp req slayer thingy. As I noted when I first commented on them proposing it doing so on the grounds of 'some people can't do it through no fault of their own' would have just opened up a whole can of worms of why was this true for the elf city req but not when the same case was raised against the reaper req. 8) Rush of Blood is a bit more luck based than I'd like, but its probably for the best to not amend it in anyway until after the summon ai and elf batch 2 pots impact has been seen. Though after then if it still remains so luck based I feel like it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to maybe add 1 or 2 more possible spawns to platinum of monsters that are viable for making up some time on if you suffer at the hands of glacor and tds spawns. That way the focus of beating it would be more about whether or not you have the skill to do so and less about whether or not the spawns were nice enough to land on stuff that allows for 20 waves to be feasibly reached in the time limit.

I still fail to see any relevance to your arguments against my point, since my point was merely an observation of an element of the debate I found interesting and held no pro or con stance on the comp reqs existence. I should clarify as well, as you seem to be a bit lost on my usage of paradox, that I'm certainly not supposing it is paradoxical that a requirement can both require skill and be leech. They are of course both quite possible to co-exist. I was only commenting on how the argument that a req should be there because the cape should require skill to obtain is rather paradoxical to the argument that it is okay as it can be done without any skill via leeching because they two proposed reasonings are mutually exclusive in many ways. One supposes the requirement should be there to impose the need for skill whilst the other proposes the requirement makes no difference as leeching means it imposes no skill. Perhaps paradoxical is a bit of a hyperbolic choice of word for the matter, but it conveys the meaning all the same. You can of course keep arguing back but I fail to see a road to 'winning' when I'm not actually trying to argue anything and only making an observation of the arguments presented.
