  1. If you have an iron pick use it. If you don't the speed increase isn't worth it JUST to mine iron since 99% of time u mine iron in 1 tick anyway. If you mine gold etc its worth buying it.
  2. Well with that new map you can easily append the text to say blue/red route can be used via walking from varrock, canafis or the cks fairy ring. Anyway my quest hating friends inform me that the boat is indeed usable without the quest going too barrows atleast (none of them have checked but they all suspect that the npc guarding boat barrows end doesn't let you go bk other way without the quest)
  3. saying that is foolish. wait until your multiplier is at 1,1 and train summoing because that extra boost will save you money as 10% saved on summonig is millions. its foolish to limit yourself to certain aspects of the game when they can benefit you so much How is it foolish? When people talk of wanting to train in the bonus xp weekend it is generally accept they are referencing the ten hours of play time between 2.7 and 1.1 multiplier. With this in mind trianing summoning is a no go as it is capped at 1.1, thus wasting the multiplier. Of course when you get down to 1.1 and have effectively used up the bonus xp if theres time left summoning would be an option. By why get 1.1x summoning xp when you have a 1.2 - 2.7 multiplier that will apply to any other skill?
  4. So why are you annoyed at them due to your own mistakes? Please explain that as I'm really confused. It makes no sense that some barrows gloves protect over battle robe bottoms, which i weren't aware of in the rush. And magic prayer should protect you from dragonfire and the bonus exp weekend most likely made me forget the ectophial ... Protected items go based on high alch value which is based on actual material value and stats; not on street value. Nothing to do with Jagex if you didn't check what you'd lose on death. Mage prayer does protect somewhat, but not alot and it only has a chance to protect not 100% like pots and shield. You didn't bring gear, not Jagex's fault. You rushed and forget a basic bit of gear, not Jagex's fault. It was your choice to rush, Jagex didn't force you. It was your memory that forgot gear, Jagex didn;t stop you taking it. It was your laziness/confidence that meant you did not check items kept on death and died, Jagex didn't force you to use 15mil of street value items that are worth v little in normal value. Basically all your errors and your mistakes, nothing to do with Jagex. But I suppose as with most ranters you are too amazing for a mistake to be YOUR fault and therefore it must be Jagexs fault that you messed up something that has been that way for years.
  5. 4 minutes? Jeeze what did you do walk the whole way? I mean how many routes to the place do you want? Getting there quickly you can: Cabbage Port > Ship Ardougne Tele > Ship Ardougne Cloak > Ship Spirit Tree (reqs farm) House Portal (especially after love story) Glory Amulet Fairy Ring > Fisher Kking Realm Fairy Ring > Thzarr Nature Teletab Gahrak Tai Bwo Wanni Tele Scroll (that was one of the new tt ones right?) Karamja Gloves > Cart With all them its easily like a 3min run tops.
  6. Items disappear fast because they are "dropped" and start the disappear timer as soon as you die. The gravestone holds them there for beyond the normal limits and thus they vanish with it. Also meh buy a better gravestone, brimhaven metals are easily reachable with time to spare if you have the best gravestone. Heck with the best gravestone unless you only have 1 armour set and thus r screwed you can get back to 99% of places on rs with time to spare. The only real exceptions are GWD Boss rooms and the DK dungeon
  7. Sure it does knock efficiency very marginally but it is still worthwhile banking dragon bones. That's the 1 item like no-one ever leaves/wastes by normal burying. It's what makes dragon tasks worthwhile, especially metals, since their drops can be a bit hit n miss and they take a fair bit of effort to kill compared to most other taskes
  8. Frost Dragon bones haven't been added to the ectofunctus xp table. They should be 720xp each on ecto.
  9. Someone didn't pay attention. He's playing Runescape CLASSIC. No such thing as farming. Last I played of Runescape Classic it is rather quiet so money making is more on your own shoulders than it is on selling/trading. So basically you jsut wanna kill stuff that drops gold or train skills that produce stuff you cans eel to the shops. But I havent played in AAAGES
  10. You don't bank dragon bones? Are you insane? They are worth 5k each if you flog em or if you're just burying them you are wasting xp big time.
  11. People have explained it poorly hear. When you complete a floor on dungeoneering you are awarded "base xp" and "Prestige xp" which is then averaged out. If you have done the floor before (eg it has a tick by it in the setup screen) you get 0 prestige xp; meaning the average xp becomes half the base xp (aka stupidly low) If you notice on the ring interface you have "current progress" and "previous progress" These represent the number of unique floors you have done currently, and before you're last reset. This number also dictates your prestige xp by picking the higher of the two numbers (more floors = higher prestige) Once you have done all the floors you can you want to reset because you stop getting prestige xp and thus severely hinder ur xp rate. But you also must not reset until you have done at least as many floors are you did before. Example: Do floor 1- 30 and reset, you current prestige will be 0, but your previous will be 30. This means until you get 31 the game will use the 30 prestige xp amount. If you however only do floor 31 - 35 (making current prestige 5) and reset. Your previous prestige drops down to 5, meaning much less xp.
  12. People who use the logic of "I shouldn't do a skill this weekend cause of other bonus normally" are fools Summoning & Prayer are the two no goes, 1 because jagex limited it to 1.1 multipler and the other because outside bonus weekend you can get 350% xp per bone. All the combat stats can be bonused by sc armour normally. All the non-combat stats can be bonused by brawlers, sc tools or penance horn. The only two skills that don;t have some bonus attached to em would be slayer and dungeoneering. Dungeoneering is a viable option, but some would argue it is a waste as you dont get double tokens which are tbf like the entire reason to do that skill. Which leaves Slayer. If you want to do a skill that won't make you lose out and cannot be boosted normally the only option is slayer.
  13. Why on earth are people giving him crud for being wrong? The crew are human too, its not like he came and gave random advice he completely guessed at, he posted advice he thought was correct and just happened to be under a misapprehension. I mean jeeze just because you are wrong doesn't mean you are guessing wildly or meant to be wrong. I mean no-one gives this kind of crap to all the kids who still say void and salve don't stack.
  14. You have to mend the fairy ring before it is usable. But once you've got it fixed getting To Kuradel is easy, especially when you get a task in her dungeon and get a few ferocious rings as they can tele you straight to her.
  15. Ypu as covered above ANY item/method that normall gives "bonus" xp turns off for the weekend. This covers goldsmith gaunts, brawlers, Sc tools, sc armour, penance horn, ectofunctus, poh altar, random event rewards, quest rewards etc.
  16. Its not out yet: http://www.stellardawn.com/ Its Jagex's upcoming Sci-fi MMORPG due out next year.
  17. There two routes that I've seen work well. ape til 80 Dorge til 85 Elite gnome til 90 Elite barb til 99 Or: Ape til 82 Elite Gnome (with summer pies) til 92 Elite Barb til 99 (possibly with summer pies for first few levels to lower fail rates) First gets ur best xp for ur level. Second avoids failing too much. Both give simialr xp/hr rates when averaged out.
  18. I hear strykewyrms are pretty good for getting them; but tbh the best route seems to be (as with clues) jsut do slayer.
  19. Usually this should go in the introduce yourself sticky. But as you said that has thrown up en error and it seems to of vanished entirely now =S Welcome.
  20. Goldsmith gauntlets do not work for this weekend. And for any skill: Just do the best xp method out there you can. For fletching that means make the best bow you can. For smithing smith the highest metal you can (xp is per bar) [note SMITH do not smelt] Most skills in normal trianing you user lower methods to save costs, but xp weekend is the time to throw money at these skills to maximise your gains. There only a few where its better to stick to tired and tested methods eg Con oak larders still good idea as most other things are far slower and more combersome to make/remove alot so would slow xp
  21. The bonus xp is a small change that they can do as a "live update" A live update means things change on the server and effect you immediately without a system update booting you off the server. They use it for a lot of back end code fixes and other things such as the cluefest. That's how it was done last time, so there is no reason for it to differ this time
  22. Yup Vulxai is right. It's 8.47am BST as posting this, so just over 3 hours.

  25. I find torags (or equivilant) with a bunyip is more than enough to survive a full invent of corpses. Especially if you focus on the 2 lvl 110 spawns just inside the city and the occasional 120 when needs be, but avoid the 130 and 140s
