Where can't you use dreadnips & mines?
Both seem very useful and i'm curious where they are and aren't allowed. I know dreads can be used at Jad and Corp beast whcih seems like an odd thing to allow, so i'm curious what exactly these 'high levels' they DON'T work on.

Dominion marker uses.
Dominion marker boosts your stats at certain places (most bosses). tier 2/3 are +8 for attack, strength, defense, range, mage. Tier 4 is +10. First of all, did mage just get a little more overpowered? Free constant +10 boost (>9% more damage than ovls) sounds pretty swell. Secondly. How are these boosts effected by brews? How often do they re-boost? Does this make work with ovls to keep your stats constantly high through brews? Could you use this without ovls for corp beasting?

Looks good but i'm amazed you didn't include claws. I find myself 2 speccing well over 50% of bosses and significantly speeding up kills. And why the medallion? A glory or fury gives must better stats and i'm assuming you'll be overloaded anyway so the stat boosts are meaningless.

Low lv summoning help
1-57, teleport to falador and walk to the obelisk in taverly. The trips are a little long, but you won't need many to reach level 57. 57-99 use a spirit kyatt's teleport which takes you right next to an obelisk and makes trips very very fast. Only train summoning when you have the charms to reach a useful level. For example, i'm level 79 (elemental titans) at the moment and have the charms for 86, but i'm saving until i can get 88 because theres nothing i would use until then, and it would be a waste of money that i can use for more important things. http://users.telenet.be/glodenox/Charms/CharmPattern.html ^^ Great calculator for the exact pouches to make. Just make sure it doesn't recommend anything too expensive or miss something out. (It doesn't recommend war tortoises, but at times these can actually be very profitable to make)

Karil cbow vs rune/chaotic cbows
Isn't a god arrow 60 range strength? So wouldn't a mage shortbow with those be even higher DPS on low defense? Not to mention the bonus damage that i'm sure adds up.

Double Nomad Challenge!
If it were me, i'd swap the uni for a spirit kyatt and plenty of ambush scrolls. It may not be more efficient in terms of suriving, but the increased killspeed will make a fail take a lot less time so you can see if you get close and try again. Melee void > karils for the same reason. If you're doing it just to unlock the gloves and don't want a challenge, bring help horns. Each one = 1100hp of healing per inventory slot without draining stats and would really give you a huge advantage over not having them. Soulsplit the entire fight, i don't believe protection prayers work on any stage. (If they do, it's difficult to see, so it may be even less helpful than SS anyway) Oops just noticed you don't have SS, just use piety then. BGS for spec. If you hit poorly on your first spec i'd recommend just dieing and starting again until you get a decent hit, as it really does help and you don't lose anything by doing it.

Well the magic boost beats ovls so perhaps this could be useful for SoA

Yeah the opening introductions (and the win animation to a smaller extent) take WAY too much time. Bosses like count draynor i'll spend 30 seconds waiting and 3 seconds fighting. They should make them skippable or only have it happen the first time on the boss or something.

Swift gloves: There is a random chance, if you deal over 2/3rds of your maximum hit, that a special shot will fire two arrows. Should one strike the enemy for a maximum hit, the enemy will be stunned. This special shot does not work with all ranged weapons. Huh. I'm guessing it only works with mage shortbow at best, but used with god arrows, this may be higher DPS than chaotics on low defense.

Woox16 advertised on the main rs page
I'm only in support of woox BECAUSE his videos are so entertaining. Someone in this thread says they've done entire fight caves 1 prayer point. That sounds awesome. I'm gonna check that out! But the majority of players do not have awesome things and more importantly, don't make it LOOK awesome. (If you havn't sped up those caves or supplied really entertaining commentary you can be sure as hell i'm not watching the entire video) This isn't to help out woox becoming a super star or anything, it's just picking the most well known PVMer and using him to showoff the new PVM event. Few none-woox fans will watch, fewer would watch that guy with 10 views.

Mage slaying.
Oh. I assumed they were going for mage xp. If this is purely for fast trips SoA > Rapier > Fire surge. With the obvious exception of strykworms.

Regular black knights are the pest queen fight so it's probably from there. And by god the dominion weapons SUCK. I just got my second sword so figured i'd go use my first on half way through a climber match on the decaying avatar, to see how much better it is than rapier/cls. It was pretty awesome... Until it crumbled to nothing before he was dead. Yeah. That's right. It didn't even last one fight. Makes me so mad. I don't see why they didn't just make it a much harder requirment and give you one, unbreakable sword, kinda like primal in dungeoneering. Or at least let you buy a sword with DF instead of having a terrible system where 250k is roughly the same as 1m for a sword.

Mage slaying.
Fire surge has slightly higher base xp per cast (90), but that is offset by SoA having a faster cast speed (70*1.25), making them almost equal in base experience.

Woox16 advertised on the main rs page
People have been 'abusing the bug' that is controlling how a creature reacts to your movement since classic. Woox has done it before expertly so on the KBD and no one screamed bug abuse, they just said "Whoa that was a really entertaining video, it must take great skill to manipulate the KBD like that" At this point, it's pretty much a game mechanic and it will not be fixed in RS2. It takes a lot of skill to do, which is much better than just calling in a team of boring people to stand attack and eat in a fashion a 2 year old could master. Earning obscene amounts of experience through a glitch is a totally different thing and you know it. If woox was caught doing that he would be banned or rolled just the same. I don't understand why so many people are outraged, is this jealousy or 'jagex did something, time to complain' syndrome?

Pretty much what Yay0siris said. I personally like that Woox is getting some attention from jagex, but that's because i don't care about myself getting that attention. Besides, this isn't the first time jagex have interacted with him, woox duo'd nex with a jmod. (Attempted to as soon as it came out and failed as expected) I look forward to whatever these 'suprises' are that will be used, but i don't think the video will be interesting besides those. Woox works by doing something 10000 times and taking the best clip, which is obviously amazing. Live isn't as good.

Dominion Tower training
At a guess, 25-30 minutes. I'm gonna time myself right now and be back in about 30 minutes with the exact time it takes :P Edit: Got pest queen for the first time and wanted to unlock her freestyle so i took her on, forgetting that food was disabled, and died lol. If i was doing it properly i would have skipped her. So im gonna start again... Edit2: GOD DAMN IT. Got pest queen again, tried again, brought dom sword.... Powerups were off. DERP. (Plus i brought hardly any food) Take 3 coming up. Lol.

Dominion Tower training
Well. Believe what you want. Climber is way more than 10k a floor on average for me, and i very rarely get any bosses i can't simply 1-3 hit. If you get Ava or something that will take a long time, simply quit there and then. You start off with about 5k a floor anyway so this will not hurt your average much (Compared to endurances extremely slow start) And yes, 20 is everything besides 2 handicaps, no shield and no spec, every other handicap is irrelevant to taking out easy bosses fast. No prayer and potions hurt and i advise you avoid them as long as possible, but they don't slow you down much. And you should NEVER die, if you get a boss you think you'll have trouble with, quit. There aren't any bosses that i have to put much thought into if i'll win or not.

Dominion Tower training
If you skip hard bosses, you average around 5k factor per floor in climber. Endurance is 6k factor per floor. Well first of all, four 250000's is MUCH better than one 10000000 in terms of rewards. Secondly, the average of endurance is way less than 6k a floor seeing as the first 20 or so are way lower, and the cap is 1 million per run. Thirdly, climber is way more than 5k a floor, you can get upto about 20 handicaps before you come across a fight too difficult to blitz. You get more like 10k on average if you quit on floor 20 (When you lose your claws) So... Yeah.

Dominion Tower training
Just in referece to myself, killing the ava with melee IS awesome. I've tried all chaotics on him with 99 attack and piety and so far CLS seems to be the best (Which is odd, because it rarely is anywhere else) i'm assuming hes weak to slash, or strong against crush, because the maul isn't hitting as often. Oh, and sy... Climber is MUCH better DF/xp in my experience. Just avoid 'no spec' and 'no shield' for the full thing and you can pretty much 2 spec all bosses with claws, and a few chaotic hits if needed. If you get a tough boss, quit and claim your DF and start again.

Dominion Tower training
Hey guys. I'm just curious if anyone knows of a good combat training method including the dominion tower. Here are a few i've tried. Decaying Avatar gives double combat experience and ruby bolts hit 2000s on him, i like to bolt him and dclaw him when he's close to his next health regen. He may be good to melee with high attack as the increased xp may be worth the inaccuracy. (Plus he's semi afkable with protect melee on) Count Draynor will keep regaining hp if you don't pick up the stake. Chronozon will also regain hp if you don't use blast spells. I dont have it unlocked so can't say for sure, but Pest Queen can be almost constantly specced with spec restores and the 15% spec korasi, this leads to some intense magic and hp experience. (Does it give any defense xp if used on defensive?) Those are the only ones i can think of, but i'm sure there are more.

Anyone seen the Desert Phoenix lately?
This thread made me laugh uncontrollably. But seriously, does anyone know where it is? I doubt jagex really took out the one source of super antis in the game... (Oh god they did didn't they :ohnoes: )

I hate those blue orbs.
Just stop attacking them when it shows up, it's a concept a 2 year old could understand. I don't know your stats, if you're maxed, you should be able to SS heal any damage, including the occasional recoil easily. So your inventory should be 1 ovl, 1 brew, 4-5 super restores, cannon, cannonballs and maybe a few monkfish incase you get unlucky. If you're lower level or don't have SS, bring lots of monkfish. Bring your best BoB to fill with loot. (Pack yak scroll the loot and bring many more ovls/brews/sup rests if you're 96 summoning) Wear your best melee armour and protect from magic.

Nex gear VS Vanguard in minigames
Depends on the minigame really. Soulwars you generally won't be fighting tactical geniuses that aim to take down the high level in hybrid/nex gear, and instead pick on weaker players. So the extra offense really helps here, especially if you're safely barraging and healing so much from the SS/blood that you don't need to worry about conventional healing. FoG you really want both. Hybrid for hunting, nex for hunted. Pretty self explanatory. Castle wars, as ahappyseeker crudley put it, against 'idiots' you'll be good in the hybrid gear. But against pro teams that will focus on your weakness, you'd be better off in nex gear. Tzhaar pits is the same as castle wars. Keep in mind that you get the % damage bonus per item, not for the full set, so you'll want hybrid boots and gloves anyway. And the helm for castlewars, as you get the bonus damage if you have a banked helm even though you can't wear it, and may find other parts interchangable with nex gear according to budget and finding a perfect balance for your (enemy's) play style.

An Alternative Turmoil with 65 Def?
You'd be a much worse pker per combat level than 40 defense. But whatever, you'll only be fighting other failed mains at that combat level anyway. I'd probably get 70 defense so you can dharoks fight if you're gettin 65 in the first place. I'd personally stick to 40 defense and make a seperate account for questing/making money/maxing. Do the money maker first.

To Bogrog or to GE
There are many people that do this and have constant offers in for bogrogs price -1gp. So if you think this is going to be a get rich quick scheme, you better have a few billion to invest and some patience.
