  1. That may be something I'll just need to look up. I thought I could just trigger it by talking to him on the ship at any time. Played a little of ME2. I'm mad cause the controls are different. And the weapons don't have unlimited ammo. :(

This is the only article I found that says anything about MSE not being recommended. I couldn't find anything else saying so. I must've stumbled upon it without much searching the first time. This time it was harder to find. Microsoft hasn't explicitly stated anything, so maybe most "places" aren't recommending it any more because it doesn't do well on tests and the like. http://www.howtogeek.com/173291/goodbye-microsoft-security-essentials-microsoft-now-recommends-you-use-a-third-party-antivirus/

So do you have just the Internet Security package, or do you have the antivirus as well? Amazon is selling 3-user licenses (1yr) for around $30 (for either internet security or anti-virus). For some reason I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive. But $2.50 a month for a good antivirus is not that much. My dad may be willing to pay that much if it means he'll be protected on his business computers.
  4. Finished it yesterday. Unfortunately, I rushed the main plot of the game because I was excited about it that I didn't spend much time doing side assignments and exploring. I liked it. I'm excited to play the second because there will be better graphics. And I'm excited to see what they do with the plot. [hide]Was able to keep Wrex alive with my Charm. I wanted to do his personal side mission, but it seemed like once you completed the mission on Virmire, you no longer could (I tried all the dialogue options I think). Oh well. I laughed my ass off when I got with what's-her-face. I chose a dialogue option that was definitely flirty for shits and giggles, and then finding out that it lead to other stuff was funny as hell. I was like, "No shit! I'm definitely not passing this up!" Was surprised at the end that I was able to Charm my way out of fighting Saren. Wasn't expecting him to shoot himself.[/hide] On to ME2 today.
  5. Well, I restarted Mass Effect 1. Much more into it this time. Gonna dedicate a good bit of tomorrow playing it. I'm playing the "good" guy. Maybe in another play through I'll try the ruthless route. [hide]Maybe this time I can keep Wrex alive. I find him to be hilarious.[/hide]
  6. I usually run UAV, Hunter Killer, CUAV in TDM. But recently, I took off Hunter Killer and put on VSAT. I manage to get it a lot now that I've changed my play style slightly (a little less rushy and more tactical and passive). I figure a Super Kill/Kill Chain is only going to happen with a lot of luck AND knowing exactly where the enemy will be. Funny thing is, now that I've been getting VSATs, I've been going on a lot more 20 and 25 gunstreaks. Still haven't managed a nuclear. The closest I've been was 26; got Nuke-blocked by the score limit. Noxx, I have fun with the SWAT. Usually, I'll run stock, fast mag, and select fire. If you can handle the recoil (which is nuts with select fire), it tears people up. Scavenger is a must, though, and so is fast mag imo.

That's what my dad mentioned today. I knew they stopped support and discontinued it for Windows XP, but I didn't know they were going to for Windows 7. I read a few articles just now that said that even though MSE is still available to download and says it still offers protection, Microsoft has "advised" that people switch to third-party software. Great. Now I gotta look into what the best free software is, and, if my dad wants to start paying for a subscription, what the best paid software is. I read one article that said BitDefender performed very well on the tests, though they were skeptical if the tests were run on the free version. Avira and Avast! also performed well. What are you planning on using?

Daaaaamn. Today I decided to uninstall MSE and try out BitDefender because of an article I read. So far I find BitDefender to be less user friendly. We'll see how this goes. Maybe I'll switch back at the end of the month.
  9. I watched the first Die Hard movie last night. My parents told me that it was the cream of the crop back in the day. But watching it last night, I was shaking my head the whole time, haha. There wasn't very good acting. And I found myself wondering when Bruce Willis was actually going to do something cool. I'm used to modern day action movies, lol. I gave it a 4/10 until the very end, when Powell saves Bruce and his wife from one of the German dudes who somehow is still alive after hanging 20 feet in the air by a chain around his neck for God knows how long. After that, my rating dropped to a 2/10.
  10. Lsat is my go-to weapon when I'm against camping snipers/quickscopers. I put stock, silencer, and FMJ (only instance where I use FMJ). Then I can spray through practically anything. There was a guy who was camping in that little broom closet with an 870 on Cargo. I managed to kill him from the containers back near the water at the spawn point by spraying through the walls. I watched it from his perspective and it's the most hilarious thing ever.
  11. I find a lot of the humor in Family Guy to be funny, tbh. It annoys me when I use a computer owned by someone who has their browser open multiple tabs every time it is opened.
  12. I don't usually listen to this type of music, but I like this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eee41N011N0
  13. No luck so far. Managed a superkill on Hijacked, but nothing higher. I'm getting real frustrated. This shit is hard to do without a vsat. :\ It's also harder to do now, since there aren't hundreds of noobs playing the game anymore.
  14. Yeah, I experience the same thing with the sniper rifles. I run a secondary still, though, especially on my ballista class, because I feel I have the right to kill them with it if I get a hit marker. I'm trying to get a Kill Chain today, or at least the 8 kill one. If it means the Remington, so be it. But I'll try it with an assault rifle and the KSG first.
  15. Aight. I'm GMT - 7 hours. You both should add me on Xbox and maybe we can play together sometime (if we manage to be on at the same time). GT is GLENN blinks182. Still using the KSG. I notice that I'll have games where my shot with it is right on, and others where I'll miss like, four shots in a row on one dude, and they aren't even difficult shots.
  16. 9 man feed? In 6v6 TDM? That's nuts. That dude must know the spawns pretty damn well. I've never seriously played Ground War (only played a couple games when I needed double kills with the SMAW), so I've never gotten anything above a Mega Kill (7 rapid kills). I really want to get a Kill Chain (above 8) in TDM, but that seems unbelievably hard since you'd have to manipulate the spawns and get lucky that you can managed to kill the whole team and then some. I never run high scorestreaks because I'm the type of person who is completely fine with getting 3-4 kills and then dying. As long as I'm jumping around in their faces and annoying the crap out of them, that's fun for me. Unfortunately, I still care a lot about my k/d and spm. I care more about spm, though, because that really tells what your playstyle is like. But when you just play TDM, it can't get too high compared to Domination, Kill Confirmed, and GW, where score is easy to get. What timezone are you two in?
  17. The scorpion tears. Its my favorite SMG to use. Hip fire on it is pretty good, and as long as you can manage the recoil (which I guess if you're coming from the PC that won't be much of a problem) and have fast mags on it, you can do work. It's my most used gun. This isn't me, but I go for a similar play style. This dude is one of the funnest persons to watch. Too bad he doesn't make videos anymore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZcrpDAwzgA
  18. Been playing with primarily the KSG just because I've gotten pretty bored with the other guns. I'd like to get it so that it's my most used weapon. But that'll take a couple thousand kills. Getting multikills with the KSG is just so rewarding.

Uhh, just saw that Season 1 of Red vs. Blue is on Netflix now. So that's what I'm doing now, lol.

I actually like playing in lobbies where other people have mics. If it means I get to hear a little kid yell "[bleep]" every time I kill him, then I think it's totally worth it. I love hearing people rage. And I'll occasionally meet some other cool people who like just playing for fun. Damn, Noxx. 4 sensitivity? Makes that turn on even more impressive
  21. 1. Only idiots run in the open? This isn't real war, lol. Rushing is extremely fun. 2. How would having large maps account for high recoil guns? And I didn't find the recoil on any of the guns to be insane. 3. It takes plenty of skill to navigate small maps, too. Honestly, I'd rather have Hijacked with 2 buildings close to each other with a camper in each than a huge map with plenty of cover for half the lobby to camp behind. It's personal preference, but I back out of every game of Drone and Aftermath (maybe Aftermath isn't considered a "big" map) I'm put on, and the majority of Turbine games simply because they're so boring. Games almost always go to time limit, and when you die, it takes forever to get back into the action. Black Ops 2 had some awesome maps: Raid, Slums, Standoff.

  23. Aghhhh I want Space Engineers!
  24. Depending on how the Community's Choice vote goes, I'll probably pick up Goat Simulator for $6.
