I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past. Though I'm not big into X-Men and that whole storyline, I thought it was good. I had high expectations since it did so well review-wise. I'd give it a 9/10. Other movies I've watched recently: Kung Fu Panda 2 (absolutely loved it), How to Train Your Dragon (another one of those awesome animated movies; excited for the second), Inside Man, first two X-Men.

Watched Godzilla. 9/10 Fight scenes were pretty awesome, especially the take downs. And Godzilla's roar is [bleep]ing cool.

I had a dream that I had saved three final projects for the last night of school. Not cool at all. About had an anxiety attack in my sleep.

So I started and finished Ender's Shadow today. It's the "companion" novel to Ender's Game, told during a similar timeline but through the perspective of a different character, Bean. I'll hide by thoughts on it since it will contain some spoilers no doubt. I'm hoping someone here has already read it and can tell me what they thought. [hide] In short, I didn't enjoy this book much. And honestly, I'm not too excited to finish the next three books in the Shadow Saga. I'm a HUUUUUGE fan of Ender. He's probably my favorite protagonist in any book I've ever read. I knew it was going to be different hearing similar events told through the perspective of Bean. But Bean's character really annoyed me throughout the book. Of course, his genes were genetically modified to make him superior in intelligence to Ender. Although I always liked thinking of Ender as being the smartest, I decided to accept this fact, especially since it was made clear that Ender was a far superior leader and possessed other traits that made the other children adore, respect, and love him. But I hated the way Bean was always (at least early on) thinking of Ender as not knowing what the hell he was doing. This novel portrayed Ender as extremely helpless, and Bean as the one who actually did everything and who was the genius behind everything. Ender seemed to be only a "good leader" and nothing more. And this really ticked me off, because you get so much of a different vibe from Ender's Game. I was going to be furious if for some reason Card decided to make Bean be the person who actually commanded the final battle. I was still a little pissed when Bean told his ship a different order than what Ender had told him at the very last moment. I guess I'm not fond of Bean at all. He seems pretty arrogant and full of himself. And I hate that attitude. Ender is much more likable, being nearly as smart as Bean (without any direct genetic modification) but never really manipulating people and displaying his power. Another thing about this book is that there wasn't really a climax. The climax in Ender's Game, which hits extremely hard and is mind boggling for a reader who is truly invested in the story, is obvious and impactful. In Ender's Shadow, through Bean's thoughts and speculations you get hints that the simulations aren't really simulations, and then certain events make you start to realize they probably are real, and then Bean figures out for sure they are real, but decides not to tell everyone. I dunno, I just felt that there wasn't a clear climax. The last thing I'll say is that I don't think I would have been too disappointed if I hadn't decided to read this book. In a way, I feel as if it ruined Ender's Game for me. I feel like I have to go and reread Ender's Game to try and ingrain in my mind Ender's perspective, which I enjoyed a lot more. But I know that I'll always be thinking while rereading Ender's Game about what crap Bean is thinking throughout everything. Of course, this is all probably because I'm a fanboy of Ender. But, oh well. [/hide] Rating: 5/10. Maybe I'll hold off on the other three books in the Shadow Saga. Not super interested in what happens next.

EDIT: Never mind, was hoping this was the fps version of the game. I've seen gameplay of the fps version of the game. Looked pretty hilarious. I would have been more excited if it had been.

My little brother wanted me to play BOII with him, cause he's working on camos. So I told him I'd play and work on some of my unfinished camo unlocks. Now I'm addicted to the game again, lol. I've got pistols and 1 LMG left before I've gotten every gun in the game diamond (except peacekeeper). It's funny. I haven't touched Titanfall for a while. Maybe it's because I have more fun playing with my buddies, whereas with BOII, I'm fine going solo.

My last post was a while ago, but I found out it was because I was eating an early dinner and not eating anything before the workout (my stomach is kinda weak when it comes to working out after eating). So I had absolutely no energy in my body aside from my fat and muscles. And when you're doing heavy cardio, you get really light-headed, heh. I've decided to bulk up a little, especially on my chest because i have practically no muscle showing there. I hate the idea of putting on weight, especially if it means putting on fat in other areas in order to bulk up my chest (I like to see my abs, okay). But I'm hoping that after I get some muscle mass on my chest, I can start a good diet and do some lighter lifting to get rid of the fat I put on. This means I'll have to force myself to eat lots of potatoes, pasta, and other carbs.

Plants vs. Zombies is free on Origin. So I downloaded that for shits and giggles.

I watched a playthrough of it. Some real [bleep]ed up shit going on, haha. I do like how the two stories (DLC and main game) overlap time frames.

Both siblings streaming videos on their computers, using all the bandwidth. Definitely did not miss this about home.

Bought the Chivalry Complete Pack on Steam. Only around $10. That's a steal for me.

Well damn, I'm officially done with my undergraduate education.

Found out that I'm going to be the godparent of my older brother's son. This finals week just got a lot better (it's still pretty sucky, but not as much). Look at this little guy. They're kinda late getting him baptized, which is why he's already pretty old. But he's a stinkin' cute baby.

Caved in a bought Titanfall for the 360. I don't have the patience to get good at fps games on the PC. Honestly, wasn't even planning on buying any fps games for the PC. Just so happened that my little brother bought it for me. The funny thing is that I managed to get a 360 copy for $40 from amazon, which was an absolute steal. Went and saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tonight. Damn. I'm a big fan and so I knew what might happen. But even though I was prepared, I was still pretty heart broken. Great movie, though. Definitely preordering.

I was debating on downloading it for the Steam free weekend.

My group presented our Minesweeper clone today. Went really well. So I felt like I was on top of the world all afternoon. Graduating in a little over a week. [bleep].

I hate group projects. My group and I agreed to meet last night to finish our project for Tuesday. I sent a few emails about it all day yesterday and no one responded about when and where we would meet up. And I told everyone last Friday when we were planning that I didn't want to save shit for the last night before it was due, in case we ran into problems. Let's just hope that things run smoothly when we meet tonight to put the different sections of code together.
