Heh, it's funny how playing Reach can be fun, but can also put me in a shitty mood at the same time. Been playing a little bit more now that finals are almost at an end. I played a few games of team snipers yesterday, which was a mess for me, haha. It's been a while, but congrats on Forerunner, Over. :thumbup:

My eating habits are at an all time low with finals. Especially since our food commons is slacking like crazy now that it's near the end of the semester. All there is to really eat are burgers and fries and cereal. :\

I read Atonement by Ian McEwan as a final book for my English class. It was a shocking book, to be honest. Kinda uncomfortable to read. It had a really neat twist in the end that pissed me off but at the same time, made me respect the author even more. I've never seen the movie, so I didn't know what to expect at all. I like it better that way, too. Similarly, I never had seen an actual Frankenstein movie, so the book was all the more interesting to read.

Been a tough three or so weeks. Chemistry final in about an hour, which I'm feeling comfortable about (can get a 140/200 points and still have an A in the class). Tomorrow is my computer science exam. Dunno how much I'll study for that. My other finals earlier this week went okay, too. Phew, can't wait to go on winter break.

It's snowing outside. Been a pretty depressing day, tbh. Wrote a code in Python to play tic-tac-toe with the computer. It's actually pretty darn cool. I'm happy about it.

DM and AS go from left to right. Like Vezon said, order doesn't matter. The only way you'll get confused is if you don't pay attention to minus signs. 3 - 4 + 5 - 10 != 4 - 3 + 10 - 5. Subtraction is addition of a negative, so it would be (-4) + 3 - 10 + 5. And I guess it's the same with division. They aren't commutative, but 4 / 8 x 6 / 10 is in essence 4 * 1/8 * 6 * 1/10, which is commutative. I'm basically done doing 'division' nowadays. In so many instances, it's easier to see it at multiplication of a number over 1 (for example, unless you have a 1st order polynomial in the denominator, it's almost always easier to use the product rule instead of the quotient rule for derivatives).

Doesn't really matter if division or multiplication is first. They both hold equal weight (same with addition and subtraction).

3(3 + 3) is 18. :shame: And anyway, 3 + 2 x 6 - 3 is essentially the same as 3(3 + 3). The prior just doesn't have any parentheses. Thus, you only have to worry about EMDAS. :-D Imagine how weird it would be to only use PEMDAS when there were parentheses in the equation.

Ever notice in a music video how much the camera flips to a different shot. You don't notice it at first, but if you pay attention to how fast the shots change, you notice that one scene isn't on the screen for more than like, 2 seconds. Not super annoying for me, just something I noticed. Wb Nom.

Because it is the result of an abortion. I'm not going to support something that is made possible by something I'm adamantly against. Especially since there are other means of doing the same research, means that don't rely on abortions. And to clarify, I'm also against in vitro fertilization (and that is due to my religion). I'm also against embryonic stem cell research for the reasons I've been discussing with Rob. I don't like the mindset legalizing it will create.

In most of my academic papers, I focus on writing about what will get me a good grade (what is pleasing to the teacher). Especially since my major is a science, not a humanity. Sometimes it's just easier to do this than to try and write about crazy/fantastic/controversial/socially against the norm topics (I'm not sure what your topic was, cause you've edited your posts; but I have a feeling it was one/a combination of these). Yah, you'll be bored writing the paper, but you won't have to deal with a 0% or a teacher than dislikes you.

I think it's a very bad thing if a person doesn't feel bad about taking someone else's life. More importantly, I think it's a very bad thing if a person feels good about taking someone's life in the name of research. The above is assuming that you believe a fetus is 'someone'. And again, if the research can be done another way, why not utilize this way instead? At this point, potential treatment of others is not taken away with the 'illegalization' of embryonic stem cell research, because adult stem cell research has been more successful/less potentially harmful.

I haven't opened the envelope yet, just in case I want to return it. But he said it would come in the original case, which it didn't (unless he considers this envelope the original case).

I was told a video game I bought would come in its original packaging. I'm expecting a Halo 3 case. I receive the package, and it's the disk in one of those square envelopes with the clear plastic circle on the front. Should I send it back?

My Halo 3 came today. It isn't in the case, though. It's just in a paper envelope with the clear circular plastic around the front. The description of the product said it would be in it's original case. I don't know if I should send it back or email the dude about it...
