Do you simply drop corrupted ore? There are of course faster methods, but unless the ore is discarded, increasing the speed at which it is smelted is beneficial. The degree to which it is beneficial is what I'm looking for. This is what I was considering, but I would like to see it actually tested. I'll have to wait for more dust to come in, to do it my self or I might just extrapolate based on 12.5% increase from a normal dragon pick if needed. To everyone else, are these assumptions or tested? We know that crystal picks are faster at mining. The question is if that speed can offset smelting 25% less ore. All that is irrelevant of course if you drop the ore. Like I said before, the extra mining experience gained is offset to the time it takes to get the addition exp need to gain versus time saved smelting the ore by the imcando pickaxe. Seeing the exp rates on the smithing skill is far higher. Simply said, it is better to use Crystal pickaxe regardless of keeping the ore or not and then smith yourself using other methods. This has been tested and confirmed by my fellow EE'ers as well as members from the clan Maxed. Not doubting the info but do you have numbers or sources for the data? I would like it for future references
