I personally don't have a problem with skills being made easier to train with these shooting stars and all that stuff. I am a man which does more than just play RuneScape, I usually just play RuneScape when I'm not working on a video. Which happens a lot. But a lot of times I am working on a video therefore not playing RuneScape, so it's convenient that I can train skills more easily now. Im not making a point about skills being easier, just the result that occurs from it. A lot of players seek and desire respect/attention or competition in Runescape. With the way the game has developed, accomplishments are common and the joy short lived before players attempt to tackle a new more challenging obstacle (don't forget though, thousands have already done it!) With the standards rising more and more, which is only natural for a game so old, it's harder for people to step up to the plate and make any kind of impact on the community. Yes I know not all players seek the same sensations as others, but in the broad sense of the community most players do, and Jagex is the one profiting off it. Allowing players to buy their way up, setting incredulous, official methods to get attention (true final boss, trimmed comp) I guess I would change my original statement that the entirety of Runescape is becoming devalued.
