I have registered republican and am voting for Ron Paul in Ca Primaries :mrgreen: ! I will not be voting in the general election. if you want to change the world i don't think politics tends to give the most results per time or money. but, when you see a politician you really like - who you think is a good person - it is really hard not to support them. i want ron paul to win in the same way i've always wanted the good guys to win in the story books i've read. policy and everything else i couldn't care less about by comparison.

interesting thread. if no one hits over 450 or whatever the threshold is then does corp alternate fairly? if that's the case then equilibrium auras could be used to balance the damage between the players.

I know there is a lot to find unpleasant - for example the lagging, frame dragging, or whatever you want to call it. Real life is smooth, and that's how we like our virtual worlds too. So today, i was struck by the absolute smoothness of the morchella-mushroom picking motions. I realized that I have always liked it, but today I especially took note of its pleasantness. And I felt it was over too soon when it stopped; i was left wishing it would go on longer (no, not for the profits - for the pleasure of watching it!). Does anyone else have any rs animations that they especially like? and if you do, why do you like them?

ah thanks for the reply Quyneax. Those calculations gave me a better picture of things.. So I guess the conclusion is that Corp does actually have a pretty low defense level . Okay. It must have a high defense bonus then, right? by the way, IIRC there is a vid of someone using goliaths on corp and then hitting fairly accurately with Soa. So perhaps its magic level is also ~100.

Some smart people on the 200m xp thread were talking about how they had determined monster's combat stat levels - for example I think it was said that zilyana's magic level is 300. Now, I haven't actually thought about how they did this - and i don't really want to if I don't have to - so what I don't know is if that's an effective magic level of 300 , or an actual magic level of 300 (as in zilyana operates like a player with level 300 magic, using whatever spell it is she does). Why does it matter? Well if Corp has combat levels in the 100's, then I don't see how the goliath gloves would be effective at all. If on the other hand his defense is <100 and comes primarily from defense bonus, then of course one can see why the gloves might be good. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks.

There are some things in rs that if I don't do them I experience internal withdrawal. I would say I'm addicted to those things. thankfully those things don't take up that much of my time, so it's a pretty easy task for my brain to justify them without being conflicted. I do believe that many of us are wasting parts of our lives playing rs. It doesn't have to be an addiction to be gravely bad to me - simply being robotic is repugnant enough to be a serious problem. There are exceptions - say if you are making lots of money on rs - but that's the general rule I tend to believe. Now, if humanity was safe and our future was secure, then i think this would be less of an issue to me - but the fact is games suck in a lot of smart people which humanity needs to be doing other things if we want to increase our probability of survival this century (and if we want to tremendously improve the quality of human life).

On the bright side, The gods of rs compensated us with an uplift in the price of pernix the other day it seemed like, which made for a killer flip for lots of people. in complete seriousness i think to a large extent the profits of 90% of flippers won't really change *that* much due to the natural compensation in margin increases that will inevitably take place.

Raven said they would try to get the changes to them in on the next game update - now it's been a month. and nothing. no word about them at all. and I'm stuck with 110k of them in my bank, forced to ruminate about whether I should sell them or wait until they improve them - if they they improve them at all, that is. what are you guys doing with your bakrimnel bolts in this uncertain time?

omg i didn't think of that. even with a fast dropper it's probably not worth it. still, 15 slots of ess per trade at zmi about equate to 28 at another altar in terms of xp/h (and ur runners get to run less/xp) perhaps it would make sense..

I'm just wondering, now that perhaps more people are rcing naturally. If anyone knows how common it is and what the going rate is please share. Thanks.

you really thought that through. ideally you'd be able to sell your completed offers without withdrawing them. Anything suggestive of items being transferred through space is bad news.

my mind did turn to dhing the wildy ankous with my brawlers at one point :). what i really liked doing was hectic tds with 3 people and steel titans. that's where the urge comes from i'm pretty sure. but i'm not in a position to find teams easily now, and besides everyone's nexing or corping, those noobs.
