Effigy droprate at Ganodermics?
uhhhh i got 1/180 i think when when I used vex's formula. hmm i looked at the rs wiki formula and it's the same (when number to kill =1) Otherwise it just gives you nearly useless information.

Magic Damage from different sources?
oh hybrid. i didn't read your post carefully .. ummmm isn't the set equip. bonus a 13% boost? or 10% without hood? (for battlemage/trickster), and wouldn't that add on to the 35% equipment bonus multiplier? additionally any hybrid set gives a novel multiplier of 1.15 (15%). but okay, you only have 4 pieces. I don't see how you are getting the 1.12 from the hybrid.

Magic Damage from different sources?
You have to multiply a bunch of things together. The sum of your equipment bonuses is one thing. The levels you are above your base level * 1.03 ( capped at 1.21) is another, as is the hex crest, for which the multiplier is 7/6. And maybe there's some rounding that goes on (for example with the 7/6, and the final result). Try calculating this way and see what you get.

It's about 160k/h with SoA on the beasts from my experience.

Blooming specializations
I think you are tip.it times material. Your writing sounds like the starts of a classic archetypal tip.it article more than a ramble.

28-Nov-11 Polypore Dungeon
hm but with virtus you do get like 40% more out of your brews. At least the virtus robe bottom/mask are probably still better than the ganodermic mask/visor at corp. And given the repair cost of the poncho, virtus might make more sense there too.

Will all of rs wiki's content to be copied over to the official rs wiki?
Omg, that sounds SO fun. Why didn't I think of that. But they have to be super subtle like you said.

. Yeah, but the thing about wiki's is that even if it doesn't go unnoticed, it can just be re-plagarized. But as Warriormonkx points out the incentive for doing that is probably too low to make that a legitimate concern.

great point! :).

Will all of rs wiki's content to be copied over to the official rs wiki?
hmm yeah, they could contact jagex. But maybe they could also just edit out whatever it was that was copied (if there's a rule that justifies doing so). Or flag it, or something. I wonder if jagex has said anything about this - about what they want editors to do if they see plagiarized content.

Is there going to be a WAR :ohnoes: ? What do you see being the fate of the respective wikis? Can they coexist? Here's rs wiki's plea for that not to be done http://runescape.wik.../Copying_notice It seems very sad. Outside of suing jagex I think all they can do is monitor the official rs wiki. ==== maybe we should see if there is a historical precedent - have two wiki's on the same subject ever managed to coexist??

Runescape Discussion: Why do you play?
Mostly I play rs when I want to watch something because it helps me stay me stay engaged. I find doing a very low apm task makes some types of lectures more tolerable. Besides that I merch (I plan to sell gold soon), and sometimes enjoy new updates (like I will the new slayer dungeon that is coming up :). ) tip.it/xp waste are keeping me interested too, though i would sort of rather break this habit i developed of checking both forums. rs is ultimately not fulfilling to me but it is very enticing, which is why I haven't managed to let go of it yet.

Leechers of Society
Wow! how? What do you research on?

Listening to something while playing RS.
podcasts are interesting. some of the most memorable things i've watched while playing rs in no particular order: lectures by robert sapolsky (endocrinology stuff, very general, very interesting, very fun) anything with slavoj zizek (philosopher) khan academy (biology, physics, chemistry) talks by cory booker (politician) a number of courses by mit/stanford/yale/more obscure schools. (things like plank make would probably be too intensive for math/hard science courses to make sense to watch)

This is a public service announcement: Leaving D bones/hides on the floor while slaying is inefficient.
yeah, you talked about a lot of it. But you also said this - giving the impression of the naive multitudes to me. The people who do not know the 11m/h calc, but who leave the d bones/hides, don't need the information. it nice to know? sure, why not. But there is no enlightening that will go on because of the information, no flocks of people switching to picking up bones/hides because they saw this thread. You didn't explicitly imply that though. I perhaps overreacted to that remark last night. Anyway, I am glad we are in basic agreement now.

This is a public service announcement: Leaving D bones/hides on the floor while slaying is inefficient.
It is actually you which appeared to me to have withdrew your incessant claim that this thread is enlightening the multitudes of hopeless souls out there trying to be efficient but unknowingly failing by leaving the bones/hides on the floor. You changed your idea of what you believe this thread is doing to - even if this thread doesn't change what they do because what they're already doing is the most efficient thing for them (which as Squab and I have pointed out is indeed what people are doing who leave their bones/hides), it's still nice to know the relevant objective facts that can be obtained. So in that small way I am improving the knowledge of the person who reads this.** Which, if I had to explain what this thread is doing, is probably what I would say. **

yeah? i want to stalk so many people's past selves, but i can't :(.
