Effigy Collecting at Zamorak
I might try SOA on k'ril on my next greater task, now that I unblocked them. If I do I'll share my results.

hexcrest and focus sight increase damage AND accuracy
it's been confirmed time and time again. The multiplier is 7/6. My max hits for various scenarios match up with the results from the calculators that use 7/6, not 1.15. oh, the accuracy formula thread says modify the accuracy in the same way (with 7/6) so i guess i'm more comfortable with accepting it now.

hexcrest and focus sight increase damage AND accuracy
well, the game guide and rs wiki just say the hexcrest increases damage. and it's actually by 16.66%, not 15%.

hexcrest and focus sight increase damage AND accuracy
it seems to be the case from what i read, and would make sense. Anybody certain about this?

That donkey is troubling to look at. (oh, to make this relevant - was the 168cb what he would have if the levels didn't cap at all?)

Effigy Collecting at Zamorak
So do you finish the task in about an hour b/c you kill minions which also count as greater demons too?

Glacors
Soul split is a really nice convenience. It might make more sense to make that your priority before you do glacors. Though I suppose you would want 95 if you were meleeing the glacytes. Anyway it might be true that doing glacors w/o ss is the best way to get the money for it :P.

soo whats effigy drop %
You get more effigies if you use a dragon defender.

Boss hunting/$ making
I wouldn't worry about the metal drops. shard profit >> metal drop profit.

TDs with a steel titan.
oh rigour does give more accuracy to the x bow. good point :P. With black dhide the bonus to the x bow is probably fairly small though.
-
TDs with a steel titan.
^ wait wait wait... there is *one* sense in which a using steel titan would bring karil x bow and ccb closer together, which is in the sense that each matter less overall because the steel titan is doing damage too, so their differences, while unchanged, are less significant. Rigour or no rigour, that doesn't change how we compare them. What changes their differences and brings them farther apart with the steel titan is that the ccb can slow done your kills by making the td switch prayers when you would have gotten the scroll in had you used the x bow (so +1 for the x bow there).

TDs with a steel titan.
um the hand cannon does like 16% more damage or something. With void the ccb's extra accuracy would be fairly significant i would think though. obturian is exaggerating a bit, but that's okay. the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. but usually it is. but not in this case with the karils x bow at tds i don't think. thing is, most people don't even use a steel titan in the first place, which is the criteria for the x bow being good (i think). So if you say no one at tds uses it, well that's expected of the people who aren't using titans (if we assume everyone is doing the best thing). so really your sample size is a lot smaller than you think it is, because you should only be considering the people with titans, when you are trying to make a judgement of what's best based on what people are using. but that's okay too.

TDs with a steel titan.
So is a hand cannon really better than a karils x bow/mlbs when you're using a steel titan? Or is it not because you can't always scroll when you would want to (and in those instances its better to have the higher hitting wep).

rock lobsters questions
^ wow, thank you so much for telling me . I guess you may still want to use it on the grounds of the accuracy increase, assuming it applies to every target.
-
rock lobsters questions
You probably want to use a vecna skull for the magic level boost (the extra damage from increased magic levels affects all targets of a multi spell IIRC).

200M in all Skills
^ the staff doesn't cover runes. Yes, the difference between storm and rapier is somewhere around the difference between rapier and dscim, but for tasks that are cannonable I think it's hard to justify the cost of the runes (the extra dps of the staff in those situations doesn't actually save you significant time).
-
SoA vs CR for Glacytes
I can tell you how soa has worked for me (can't compare cause i can't try rapier). I am able to kill unstable last about 85% of the time in one hit, and that is with uni. If you are using anarma battlestaff, arcane stream and are overloaded with a high magic bonus so you don't miss, you can 3-4 hit (4 hit is nearly guaranteed) enduring and sapping and then 1 hit unstable. The arma shards about cover the cost of the arma runes. So you don't have to worry about losing money if you use soa. It is quite expensive still, so you won't be making as much from glacors.

What book are you currently reading?
I'm reading harry potter and the methods of rationality (a massively popular harry potter fan fiction written by artificial intelligence researcher Eliezer Yudkowsky).

Food
aww, sweedish fish at 4 in the morning. That makes me slightly nostalgic of when I ate tons of them on road-trips. Now I'm on paleolithic diet though, which just means I emulate how the paleo man (in the paleolithic era, before agriculture) ate, in order to (hopefully) optimize health. And so now if I see someone sipping a soda, or rummaging in a bag of candy, and if they don't look threatening, I get the urge to deftly slap it out of their hand, but i've never followed through.

Tip.It Times - 25th September 2011
The first article made the argument that our worship of rs players is misplaced because "all skills boil down to clicking", which is talentless, without skill, etc. The thing is, I could say the same thing about life - say it all boils down to movements - which is true, but pretty useless to say. Sure, movements and vocalizations, or in rs, clicks, are mechanically simple to execute, but not all clicks are the same. There is a great deal of room for talent, skill, and thoughtfulness to be involved in deciding which ones to do when, and how. Deranged and spastic clicking won't get you far in Rs. I don't think it was necessary to slight the players who players worship to make the point that the worship is foolish. Worship of *anyone*, regardless of talent or skill seems unhealthy to me. And I think the author's conceptions of these worshipped players are not very accurate. Many don't have the egos the author seems to think they do (the reason being that the highly ranked players turn out to be people not predisposed to developing them - they are often driven due to other reasons). And the author read Suomi's interview! How could he dare to even speculate Suomi has an ego. He eats steamed vegetables. He doesn't have an ego! He eats steamed vegetables.

I really want to jump back in.
Omg, that sounds like it will be so helpful to my combat endeavors. Thanks for idea! I know, I know, it wasn't intended for me, but I just couldn't help but recognize quality advice. :). (btw, I like how you formatted your post so nicely - you usually don't find posts as substantive as yours written so proffessionally).

bane bolt
^right. the arrows *might* be better than the bolts. They have a max of 411 and are 40% faster than the bolts, though that doesn't mean as much as it might cause of the abby demon's teleporting, etc. Accuracy is around 84% of something, bolts (with ccb) would probably be around 90%. You get about 230 kills/h with the arrows, which is obviously slower than melee but slightly faster than fire surge and clearly the best ranged way to do them (besides possibly the bane bolts). === at black dragons with magic longbow sighted and cannon, ranged is as fast as melee as far as I can tell.

2 Effigies in a row
hm I think the squared reasoning is right, though at first i was hesitant about it. You can expect, on average, if the effigy drop rate is 1/200, to get an effigy following another one every 200 effigies. Which makes it 1/200^2. Most people don't accumulate 200 effigies. (btw by average i mean with about a 1-1/e probability) While this may seem strange because getting two effigies in your first two kills would also be 1/200^2, this is exactly what needs to happen, this event, and the more kills you do the higher likelihood (the more opportunities you have) for this to occur. the 1/200^2 thing can occur in n-1 places if you do n kills. Thus the chance of getting two effigies b2b scales with 1/200^2.

2 Effigies in a row
the vast majority of dedicated players will never experience that.
