  1. Wow. Died in 3 seconds to sextus - think I was too slow on the mage prayer or something.
  2. Scutarius tactics: Stun and run behind them to get rid of the damage reducer.
  3. Is the dungeon on task only?
  4. You got it backwards, Split = No cape (as in the different chats are split among several worlds) Shared = cape (all the chats share worlds) That's according to the termonology of the friend chats, at least.
  5. In ALG's article, he worries if the competitions between the different gods will be biased towards Saradomin and Zamorak - the gods we've heard the most about, and who are most present in the game. I think we'll see that a lot of people will support these gods, in addition to Zaros, since he have bribed the majority of players with both/either curses and ancient magic. I don't really think this is a problem though. Rather than having a number of totally equal factions, doesn't it make sense that it would be easier to recruit for Saradomin, the god who has been the "default" God for big parts of the Gielinor community (at least among humans)? More work are needed if Bandos is going to be end up on the wining side, and that fits good with the lore. That said, this does however rely that the way these competitions are held are not simply a man-count of how many people show allegiance to the different gods, but rather something active, so that a dedicated Bandos horde can compete, and feel that getting people over to their side actually helps. Last but not least: While I hope that there will be rewards that make it worthwhile for a reward fixed community to participate; I really hope that the rewards will not be so big everyone just joins the obvious winning team, ending up with a similiar effect as one warband chat monopolising warbands. If people end up choosing the god they feel match their values best, and then their participation in the contest actually helps, then I'm looking really forward to this update!
  6. Just to have a number to put in, though small. Going from level 87 to 88 in hunter at jadinkos (that'd be about 400k xp) I had 8 grapevine seeds, or a seed every 15 minutes. I have no idea if this is unnaturally high or low, but at this rate, going from 80-99 at jadinkos would be about 220 seeds. Considering this is the fastest way to train hunter, I guess there will be some seeds coming in here, though I have to agree with the rest that it's hard to predict how easy it'll be to get the new brews, or if it'll be places where they are worth using.
  7. Won't a lot of seeds come from hunter training anyway, since you get quite a few of these seeds from draconic jadinkos.? That way a lot of seeds will come from people who are not actively hunting for them - possibly making the grapevines common enough for the brews anyway.
  8. I'm wondering if I should start doing warbands. What's the status on FCs now. Which one would be my best shot?
  9. Made it back in 8 minutes when I died yesterday. Just make sure to abuse Flurry for all it's worth :) @tietzen. Why would you wear mage tank gear for ranged defence?
  10. Half of my crew or so are level 10 now, and I've only rolled one oxhead. They are so insanely rare :(
  11. http://services.runescape.com/m=news/squeal-of-fortune-super-rare-a-day
  12. About three or four weeks after unlocking oxheads, and rolling every day, I've only gotten one, so don't expect to get them fast.
  13. We still have 3rd age items though. They are rare, and could get approx. the same position as rares had n 07. Though they are not dis-continued, and thus probably will sink slightly in price (compared to the rest of the economy) the position as a "cash sink" or cash goal would keep it high. If i remember correctly, the kiteshield is the best shield in the game - and without rares, that shield will be hard to obtain, but in rs07, defence isn't important for top-end pking and pvm (perhaps for staking with armour?) so they would only work as cash goals / status items anyway.
  14. Adding this blog to my to-do list, since draggle-boy is awesome, as we all know! (though if you were scottish, that'd be an improvement)
  15. I noticed slayer being a lot slower when I did a few tasks today. Seems like I was right. I like the thought of slayer being a pretty slow skill though, so in my opinion, this could be a good move, even if it'll put me back quite a few hours to get 99.
  16. You can see it moving towards either direction. If you can't see that, then you could count I guess. It changes direction every second "move" (when the pipe parts move)
  17. Perhaps this is one of the reasons Jagex removed the original god spells during the EoC update. [spoiler=More spoiler] Indeed he does, and he has a quite sad story to tell as well
  18. The quest is pretty short, you'll be doing a few boss fights, and a puzzle. For the boss fights just bring whatever you want, some food and ovls etc. None of them are hard, and there will be banking possibilities during it. No "machine guns" at least not for your level.
  19. It is possible to press Ctrl to run. Thank YOU! Had forgotten that! :)
  20. Out of curiosity, what "thing" are you talking about specifically? Let's put it this way, there is something present in the year 2007 that is not present in 2013, and it is not the version of Runescape. I am starting to believe that when people want the old times back, they don't actually want the game itself, but they want the thing that made the game fun back in 2007, which isn't there anymore in 2013. Think hard, it's quite obvious what I am talking about. I'd say if I had to think hard, then it's not obvious. But my guess is that no matter what Jagex does the community won't be back. Even though the community isn't back as it was, and it won't be - it's still interesting to see the community which is appearing now. I think the fact that we need more player interactions for trading, and stuff like creating rune running communities etc. will improve the community, at least to some extent.
  21. I'm loving these 07Scape tip videos coming out. It's amazing how quickly people have been rediscovering the fastest and most cost effective way to do things. btw - does anyone know what song that is? Some of this stuff is known though. It's just been slumbering the last few years - like cursing.
  22. What's the argument for using wand instead of staff? The relative strength of auto-attacks in magic? I've just used my chaotic staff since EoC.
  23. He hits a lot if you're not wearing ice gloves if I recall correctly.
  24. But then again, nothing says that xp is the only way you can grow your rank. You can still grow in MA ranks after 5b xp, for example. You can still get more money. There really is no end to the game, and nothing completes it other than fullfilling whatever you want to do on rs. I agree that the game is grindy, and I think skills like agility could use a rework so that it would be more fun to train them. But that can still only go so far. Even dungeoneering and slayer, which are some of the more variated skills get grindy if your only goal is to get as much xp as you want. To the people saying that rs is the grind and that it needs to be that way: Changing the training methods to methods that's a bit more fun to play still wouldn't destroy your grind. If I understand correctly, and feeling this way my self, to some extent. Even for people that like grind based games, it's not the grind itself, but the setting and reaching of goals which are the main point. So changing the methods (without changing the rate of gaining xp very much) would be a win-win situation, unless it's very important for you to brag about getting 99 rc before runespan/abyss, slayer before EoC etc.
