  1. I had the same thing happening to me yesterday. Convict was in port, no missions. And I could have sworn when I'd been on earlier that day, there were two different adventurers with 3 missions in total. Glitch? It's worth noting that I still had a Whaler mission running during reset, so I'm thinking that they might have patched it so you can't have the same adventurer in two places at once. Otherwise just an unlucky glitch, which wouldn't be surprising given how many of them I get (impossible black marketer randoms every time lol). Edit: Saradomin_Mage explained the actual reason.
  2. Today after reset the dropdown menu said Whaler was in port, but there was no special voyages available =S. Had to use an adventurer reroll to get some.
  3. Complete everything in the Dominion Tower was kind of a troll. But I'm happy because I already had it completed and there won't be many other comp capes around for a short while :)
  4. Fairy ring DLQ then run east. If you have completed the quest you should get the option to go straight to queen when you click the doorway.
  5. Why am I getting cash for only about a quarter of the tasks?
  6. Yea but then you can't use slayer helm etc.
  7. Oh god yes. Would be interested in hearing some other ideas of what the rewards might be actually. Not needing waterskins would be the best thing in the history of ever. I think we might see a daily resurrect in the Dom Tower like for the Karamja tasks too.
  8. Create a high-level pouch on the desert summoning obelisk. Retrieve/wield an ankh somewhere.
  9. No matter your focus, you will continue to get voyages from lower regions. Unless you desperately want the upgrade (3rd ship for example) you will probably be better off focusing on the higher region to maximize your progress. I also had days when I couldn't get to a computer for most of the day, so on those days I just did what I could then rushed lower voyages to use up the 15. I got my lower upgrades that way.
  10. And the verdict is "Trolling". Goodbye. Did you or did you not literally write, post #4 on page 1: I think you are misreading what he is saying. The 'stubbornness' Alg is talking about is using mid-level gear, and his own skill and persistence, to do higher-level content. Which everyone should be allowed to do, you should be able to use high-level content, just much much less efficiently if you are not in the right gear. This post from Jagex seems to imply new bosses will be literally impossible without Nex or higher sets. You seem to be thinking he is too stubborn to work for better gear, which isn't correct.
  11. I quite like the idea of adding parts to lower tier equipment to gain the higher tier stuff. I hope they do it with more than just claws, as this might give some more value to the currently worthless items. Almost every other change is a step in the wrong direction though =S
  12. I think it is quite clear that it wasn't an intended mechanic of the minigame, particularly the time bugs which allowed instant voyage completion.
  13. Ugh, for the second time now I have had an assassin mission where I clicked every damn yellow dot on the map and each time was incorrect. I noticed someone else had a similar problem, so something must be glitched. Sadface at losing possible voyage rerolls.
  14. Upon login it will notify you that your ships completed after a minute or so, thats just how it works. If you woke up at the time they arrived and waited for a minute you'd have seen the same thing I disagree. I think his problem lies in the fact that there was a system update this morning, and that voyages automatically go to their "soon..." status no matter how much time is remaining and stay there until you login after the update. The game notifies you your ships have come in within seconds normally, not a minuter or so. And so it is that I eat my words, as this changed with the update, and not for the better. Voyages now do always have around 1 minute left when you login if they were scheduled to complete anytime since you last logged in. This is instead of completing almost instantly, and is kind of annoying. Since it always takes me at least a minute to get past the 50% loading, this change hasn't affected me too much. So...yay for me I guess?
  15. Xp is for you, not the crew, granted in the skill associated with the adventurer (eg. fishing for whaler, prayer for missionary).
  16. Because of the reduced returns of completing voyages in earlier regions, I was thinking that the most efficient route would be to complete as many Scythe voyages in a day as possible (i.e do only Scythe until 2-3 hours before reset), then rushing your remaining few in the last hours before reset. This would maximize the distance traveled and get you to the next region faster. Of course if you are diligent enough you could use the method you have described (and that method would certainly be better in early stages when we are low on Scythe crew).
  17. You can still avoid rerolling, if you send one of your ships out on Hook (now Scythe for some) and the other to do a couple shorter voyages from Arc or Skull. Once I hit Scythe I will use this to gather the bamboo and gunpowder I need, since it will be almost impossible to finish 15+ voyages all Scythe in the 24h window.
  18. Apparently the Solomon pets are occasionally duping items, bringing them back whilst also leaving them on ground.
  19. I just tried hopping worlds consecutively using the join feature, and every hop reduced the timer by one minute. There was also another time bug which seems to be fixed now. You would send a long voyage out (say 3h) and a short one out (say 20min), and when the short voyage returned, the timer of the long voyage was reduced to the length of the short voyage. Thus you could complete the 3h long voyages in 40 minutes.
  20. It's +80 speed. My chimera's got it. It also has rabies, apparently. Lucky you. My Chimera is mutinous :(
  21. One I picked up: Bank boosters are coming to loyalty shop in 2013. That means 'coming weeks' means 5-17 months in Jagexland. I know I sound bitter but I have been looking forward to them for so long now...
  22. Sure, but on the flipside if I started a game and it took me twenty minutes to see another player because the world population was so low I would quit immediately too. This will ensure there is greater chance of meeting legit players, and new F2p generally need help finding their way around RuneScape.
  23. I don't see how this hurts the community. F2p who use W1 can move to W3, the next most populated world. F2p is already quite empty and the change in resource competition will be negligible. However, this benefits members greatly, as they're the ones who have to compete the most for resources and bosses, and would benefit the most from the extra servers. I for one am looking forward to getting crashed a little less at GWD.
