Okay with this. The only problem I see is that it makes it much easier to buy large amounts of money directly from Jagex if you're at a high level. But I like that the rewards scale with your character's level, much like the "Rune platebody" reward, which would be addy plate/mithril plate/black plate/etc if your def level was lower.

That's odd, when I did combat, all I felt was the complete opposite of rage due to being able to gain my levels faster than before.

That's where it gets a bit tricky. When I'm wearing just the Dragon rider boots, I get +21 armour to all three styles. But if I'm wearing Ranged gear, I get 83 armour against the style I'm weak to, 22 against the style I'm strong against and 55 armour vs the same style (Wearing Zamorak coif, Royal d'hide body/chaps, barrows gloves and Legend's cape.)

Not true anymore. With the exponential armor update Dragon Rider boots are 23 defence and bandos are 93. This means that bandos boots' weakest defence stat is magic at 29. The extra prayer bonus should be enough to make dragon rider's better than bandos and subjugation. What about Glacor boots? 194 armour against the style they're good against 121 to the same style 60 to the style they're weak against.

Where would you train Melee in F2P, right now? Because I tried Red spiders in P2P with an Obsidian maul (Lv. 60, right weakness) and I was missing all the time, so I don't want to imagine what it would be like for F2P, with Rune weapons.

I hear they made them suicidal.

Funny how 2006scape has had to be closed down. :P Exactly this. The community is what made up a major part of this game. If ~2006 servers were to be made, items would definitely not cost the same as they did back then (due to the players caring much more about the exp than about the end product), items would be much rarer (At least for the first few months/year(s)), the community would be the same kind of annoying elitist community as we have currently and the game would most likely be plagued by gambling.

Oh, Jagex, how did you know we wanted to be able to have our torso detached from our bodies? :o Also, it sucks that the news post shows Shadow Knight as having a shield and the sword, yet you can only get the helm, platebody, platelegs, gloves and boots.

I think that simply increasing the XP rates for most activities would be enough for me to have fun training a skill. Because whenever I'm doing something that has a super high xp rate, I go like "Awyeah, I'm getting XP super fast!" and enjoying it.
